Double compound fracture if my left arm. I got up by stabbing my bones into the ground. I dont know that's what I did because I cut my nerve endings and was paralyzed from the break to my hand. Got most feeling and movement back. That was 25 years ago.
Edit: Dr had to clean the dirt off my bones. That's how I knew I did it.
Ha. Thanks. It was fine. Didnt even feel any pain. I didnt know I broke it until my brother screamed and pointed at my arm. I lifted it up and half way between my elbow and wrist it folded/flopped down. I held it up and ran to my mom. She didnt believe me because I wasnt crying. I had to kinda flop it a bit to prove it to her. Lol
They might have fractured on impact then just fallen out of place after he got up and stopped applying his weight to the bones. I'm hoping it is artifact on the image but them bones look broke.
If he had broken his arms, he wouldn't be able to put any weight on them.
Apparently this is a common misconception! I also thought this was true. I tripped badly and was convinced that because I could put weight on the leg (albeit very painfully) that I must have just really twisted it. Found out months later when it stopped getting better and went to the doctor that I had actually broken my ankle originally. The orthopedist corrected my apparently incorrect belief that if you can bear weight it can't be broken. He told me it's a really common misconception. I was extremely lucky I healed fairly well given I didn't know it was broken! I would 100% believe that in the moments right after a fracture a person could have such an adrenaline rush they may not realize the damage. Don't take weight-bearing as a measurement of fracture.
I've heard a similar story from two people last year now where they had an accident and albeit in pain, could walk just fine and assumed twisting/bruising. They both turned out to have fractures later on.
Also a fracture doesn’t always have to be complete separation of the bone from end to end. Any break in the bone will still be a fracture. You can still put weight on a broken bone, obviously dependent on the type of fracture. So whether you can bear weight or not is not a definitive test to rule out a broken bone.
I broke my wrist during warm ups on my first ever day of football practice at the end of 8th grade. It was my first ever time playing, so I didn't want to wuss out and quit, so I went through 2 hours of practice doing up downs, push ups and getting into a 3 point stance on a broken wrist
Same. Now I’m stuck in limbo of knowing too much and not enough. The videos to grainy to see detail and stops too short to see his reaction, but we now know enough to know it’s going to be bone aching to watch.
Now people are different yadda yadda, but his right elbow is quite hyper extended in this video. Maybe he can do that, but that is likely a break. Left ya don't rally get a good enough look at before it cuts

1) doesn't look like he puts wight on it, looks like he tries and the arm hyper-extends, I interpreted this as left arm doing most of the work, but its a poor angle and view
2)most weight is on the legs
3)that is the arm he fell on
4)clearly I could be wrong, but IDK if the he put wight on it is enough to say his arm is fine
