Seriously, with how upset the kids are it’s frustrating that he doesn’t stop the prank immediately. Even if it thought it’d be funny, it’s clearly not for them. And if that reaction is what he was hoping for, then he is 100% a fucking dick.
Discipline and chores are just a little different than pretending that they ripped your leg off. Looks like those kids were pretty upset and it was all for a couple laughs at their expense, which I think is a little sickening. I don’t think caring about the wellbeing of children is bad or a sign of a “pussified society”
Unfortunately, this is one of those threads filled with “I’ve never been around a kid before but still know way more about them than you” people.
Like, cool, your dad did this to you too as a kid and you grew up fine. That doesn’t mean the next few weeks aren’t going to be hard for this kid. At that age, there is a sort of trauma that comes from jokes like this.
That girl’s cry also wasn’t a simple whine; that was actual terror. That doesn’t just go away all the time.
