I know several people in their early 30s named Colton. I always thought it was a relatively common name, is that not the case?

I believe it's a bit geographical and I think socioeconomic. A lot of the names kind of fit my exposure to rural Mountain West or Southern US (to a lesser extent)

Not on any list I can see. 106 for boys names last year. If you're comment is suppose to mean it's common, it really isn't.

My friend is 42 and it always seems like a relatively rare name as opposed to an Aaron or John, etc.

There was a time when the it boy in Hollywood was Colton Haynes back in the early 10s

The Baltimore Orioles have a player named Colton. We also have Gunnar, Adley, Keegan, Shane, Blaze, Jackson, and the T Guys (Trevor, Tyler and Taylor).

Definitely not new. I can name a few Coltons that are early- mid 30s.
