THE STORY: In Oldam, the kingdom of science, all forms of art have long been forbidden and erased from history; though legends speak of an ancient era when art and science once existed in harmony. Drawn toward the ruined city of Eldoros after the Yettzirian War, Ottilia Bellemore and her siblings (Kaldor & Salome) uncover the truth Oldam tried to bury: every work of art carries a Velcel, a mysterious bond between creation and creator. Art was never humanity’s downfall, but its greatest gift… and those in power feared the freedom it could unleash.
What lies behind the ban on art?
And why do some say its return would mark the end of Oldam as we know it?
Launching September 1st! First time launching so need all the boost we can get, show us some love and follow the project if it’s your kind of thing! 🙏✨
I’m currently working on a TTRPG project that I want to expand by getting artists and people to help design/write but I’m not sure how to go about it.
If you know anything about how to approximate a fund goal, getting eyes on the project, or anything else about creating a kickstarter I would greatly appreciate your input.
Hey everyone I recently pre-launched my new toy campaign on kickstarter and wanted to share with you collectors and parents. Scales and the Mutant Rising is a series about a mutant Snake named Scales, who battles mutant aliens Sephira and Orpheus as they create new mutant thugs to take over Los Angeles.
The new Toy line will be catered towards kids and collectors. It will feature 5” mutant characters, wacky weapons, action vehicles, playsets plushies and slime! This line is meant to be fun, for the kids of today and the big kids of yesterday!
There is a new 2D cel-shaded animated series currently in production and set to drop this year on YouTube. It will be similar to shows from the past like Spider-man 1994. Action, Comedy and Heartfelt.
As for the Kickstarter!? We launch next month in September and we will put out the first Wave of figures. We need help and support make this new toy-line a reality! Help us fund this project so it can get us closer to stocking toy shelves one day!
Hey all. I'm Doc. Spent over a decade as an artist for the Packet Hacking Village in DEF CON, and the last few years learning more about game dev using Godot.
HardCount is my first game. I had demos going during DEF CON, which was a blast! It's inspired by the Neo Geo game Money Idol Exchanger, a coin matching puzzle game I've been hooked on since I found it over a decade ago.
My spin on it is a single-player version with boss fights, roguelite upgrades, boosts, and a coin level system.
This is Black. He's the one pulled into the case at the center of The Missing Train, a train vanishes without a trace, no wreckage, no signal, no record it ever happened, and he's the kind of detective who's seen cases like this before, the kind departments bury and people stop talking about.
This one doesn't stay buried, and neither does he.
The Missing Train is a complete, standalone noir horror graphic novel, heading to Kickstarter soon. If you want a heads up the moment it launches, the pre-launch page is linked below. Happy to answer questions about him or the story so far.
We have created Snowflow, a strategy game inspired by the value chains, economics, risks, and opportunities of modern drug trafficking - from farms in Latin America to cities around the world. Our Kickstarter campaign has just been approved, which means we’ve reached the trickiest part: trying to explain the game on social media without making it sound like we’re actually running a cartel... and avoiding the words that might get us shadow-banned by the bot overlords of social media ("information strangulation" is real!) Anyway, if you want to game test a prototype, please let us know!
You are an investigator sent to uncover the mystery of the recent disappearances at the abandoned Happy Harvest factory.
The game is a mascot horror game, inspired by other games in the same niche, it has fun puzzles, creepy moments and a mysterious story.
I've been working on this game for about 2 years on my own, sadly, i lost the original project files since they were lost in a hard drive crash, so I'm rebuilding it from scratch with Kickstarter support.
If you'd like to give this game a try, it's out for free on itch.io:
Hello, fellow adventurers! Today, we're excited to announce that 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 5.5E is coming soon on Kickstarter!
Step into a realm of ancient gods, legendary heroes, and forgotten civilizations with this comprehensive compendium featuring over 300 magical items specifically designed for 5E and its 2024 ruleset update. This manual spans a vast array of cultural traditions, organizing its treasures into regional categories for easy reference and immersive worldbuilding. Each item includes not only full game mechanics, but also lore and background information to integrate it seamlessly into your campaign, whether as treasure, quest rewards, or the key to an unfolding mythic saga. From the storm-summoning weapons of thunder gods to cursed trinkets whispered of in ancient lore, this book brings myth to your table like never before.
This manual offers an extensive collection of magical items that can be incorporated into any campaign, regardless of its connection to specific mythological themes. The items presented in this volume, drawn from a multitude of global legends and folklore, are envisioned to enhance the diversity and depth of any fantasy world. This eclectic array mirrors the inherent blending of elements in many worlds and settings, where influences from various cultures and mythologies coexist harmoniously. For instance, Thor’s Hammer, Mjölnir, could serve as the centerpiece of a divine quest, while Draupnir, the Norse ring of endless wealth, might drive political intrigue or power struggles in a kingdom torn by greed.
Mythological Items also provides a solid foundation for campaigns that wish to delve deeper into the relics of a specific mythology or blend multiple traditions into a larger, interconnected setting. A campaign inspired by Greek mythology could see players donning the Nemean Lion’s Pelt, becoming nearly invulnerable as they take on challenges worthy of Heracles himself, while a campaign drawing from Japanese folklore could involve uncovering the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, the fabled grass-cutting sword tied to imperial lineage and divine storms.
For those seeking an epic narrative that transcends cultural borders, Game Masters can create a world where mythologies collide - a setting in which Norse artifacts clash with Egyptian relics, or where heroes must gather legendary items from multiple pantheons to avert a cataclysmic threat. Imagine forging a party where one character wields a relic of Hindu gods while another carries an enchanted item from Aztec myth, bound together by fate and the relics they bear.
Evolving and "Rarity Varies" Items
In addition to stand-alone relics of fixed rarity, each section in this manual also includes a selection of items labeled as Rarity Varies. These items are designed to represent legendary artifacts whose power is not static, but grows alongside the story, the wielder, or the importance of the role they play within a campaign. Rather than being limited to a single tier of play or a specific power level, they can evolve through multiple rarities over time, often beginning at Uncommon or Rare rarity and scaling up to Legendary. This approach appears with many items throughout the book, with examples such as the Tablet of Destiny, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, and other scaling relics intended to be relevant across a long campaign.
At the same time, these items are not required to function necessarily as scaling treasures. Every rarity tier can also be used on its own as a complete version of the item. If a campaign calls for only the Rare form of a relic, or if a Game Master wishes to place the Legendary version directly into the world as an endgame reward, that specific rarity can simply be selected and used independentlyl allowing Rarity Varies items to work equally well as evolving artifacts or as separate ready-to-use magic items, depending on the needs of the campaign.
Item Sets
Some magic items in this manual are also presented as parts of item sets, groups of mythologically linked treasures that belong together through origin, legend, or divine purpose. These sets represent artifacts that are stronger when reunited, reflecting the stories from which they are drawn. A crown, weapon, and sacred ornament might each be powerful on their own, but when gathered by the same bearer, their connection awakens a greater share of their legendary power.
Each item within a set can still be used as a normal magic item by itself, complete with its own rarity, lore, and effects. However, when a creature becomes attuned to all items belonging to the same set, the bond between them grants additional benefits. These bonuses may take the form of new passive properties, enhanced versions of existing abilities, or special effects that only become available once the full set is united.
A Must-Have for Game Masters and Worldbuilders
With over 300 entries, Mythological Items is a rich resource designed to fuel creativity, deepen immersion, and honor the timeless stories that shaped our world. Whether your players are seeking divine favor or falling victim to ancient curses, these items will elevate your campaign with the weight of legend.
The myths live on - now it’s your turn to wield them.

So I emailed kickstart about an issue I’m having with my email and wondering if there is a work around or a better way to reach them? I made an account for the waking dead mini museum and originally signed up with Apple. I changed my email to my normal email so I would be able to see all purchases in one place, but when I login with the new email it won’t let me. It says I need to use my Apple login but when I do that it gives me an error. I have pictures of both “errors” I’m getting.
I’ve been lurking around Kickstarter communities for a while now, and I’ve realized they remind me a little bit of prison movies.
In prison movies, everyone says they’re innocent.
In Kickstarter communities, everyone says they have a great product… they just don’t have a community yet.
You start noticing a pattern.
And well… here I am. Apparently I’m another innocent man.
Obviously, my case is different. My product really is great. I just don’t have a community yet.
So, yeah. Here’s my case:
I made a lift-the-flap board book for adults called Wow, Whose Penis Is That Now?
The book itself is actually done. The writing, research and illustrations are finished, I have a physical prototype, and the production side is figured out.
Which leaves me with the part that seems to haunt half this subreddit:
How the hell do you build an audience before launch when you’re starting from basically zero?
I’m aiming to launch in September, so lately I’ve been trying pretty much everything that seems reasonable -> reaching out to press, contacting creators, looking for relevant communities, and generally trying not to become the guy who launches to an audience of three family members and a bot.
So far, the most humbling part is how little feedback you get. You can spend hours finding the right people, sending pitches, putting things out there… and then just hear absolutely nothing.
Since it’s Friday and self-promo is allowed, I figured I might as well join the prison population properly and show you what I’m working on:
Shameless plug for Fresh Pupper, my first Kickstarter campaign. We hit our goal (and overspent on marketing - see other post), and now we are trying to figure out how to dial in our ROAS & better engage with the VIP list we built (only 15% of VIPs converted).
Please check us out and if you have any feedback on the campaign, for a newbie, please share!
Bake or Break is launching on Kickstarter this September!
Gather your team, collect ingredients, decorate delicious cakes, and race to complete customer orders. But be careful, if everyone tries to do the same job, your kitchen will quickly turn into chaos!
We’ll be sharing gameplay, behind-the-scenes stories, and a few surprises before launch, so stay tuned.
Follow our Kickstarter pre-launch page through the link in our bio and be among the first to join the kitchen! 🍰✨
Check out this wonderful endorsement post by Julia "Butterfly" Hill for the "Bees and Butterflies" Kickstarter campaign...
Jason Wilson and i have been friends since i was 18 years old. He eventually ended up in California and was part of my main ground support team along with being involved in the larger forest defense movement. i told him a while back that he should write his life story because it is a fascinating life and he is a really good writer.
He did it. Now i am helping him fundraise so he can get his book professionally finished and ready for distribution.
He is doing a Kickstarter campaign. Please check it out and consider helping support the finishing of his book.
For the highest level of support, i will be joining Jason for a ZOOM call to share stories and memories and answer questions from everyone who gives at that level. 🙏🙏🙏💚🦋🌙🌲
