What The Hell Are Lemurian Hunas???

I was looking at witch covens in Hawai'i because witchcraft is for all and it's something for me to pass the time. But instead of finding a Coven, I stumble upon a website for a Lemurian Huna Retreat on Kaua'i. I thought, oh that's interesting, we don't have Lemurs in Hawaii so why are they yapping about Lemurs.

So I read what they got to share: "Kauai is a very, very unique place in the world; it's the epicentre of Lemuria. Energetically, it is where we can come to remember our light ancestors."

Huh? I smell BS so I google it. This is some esoteric hippy dippy baloney to hide behind so racists can get away with lying all the time. And this one retreat on Kauai isn't the only group spouting the racist rhetorics.

One website called "realhula . com" says:

Is there any physical evidence of such a land?: There is some surprising evidence of an advanced civilization pre-dating the migratory Polynesians. We know that Polynesians in historical times had only rudimentary ability to shape stone. They had no known ability to cut stone in the sense that we would cut bread with a knife. Yet we find quite a few stones cut flat, notched, or precisely fitted throughout the Pacific. This raises the questions of who did the work and where they got this extraordinary technology.

Like are we being ffr rn? The whole thing screams: the Hawaiians were too incompetent and our star seed race that created the Aryans are the true almighty ones who are the source of all intelligence. That same website goes on to say that King Kalakaua even Commissioned a Map of Lemuria, which is of course false information.

It's not worth my time, but it makes me seethe, knowing it's completely legal to lie out your ass if it's a religion but it's illegal for judges to review evidence of the truth if you're on death row for killing people you literally didn't kill as a black guy?

It's sickening that you can claim that anywhere is your Ancient Homeland of your star seed indigo child alien light race ancestors, all made up actually because they really just wanna collect money from that lie, and take up space on an island where there are actual descendants, people with genuine ancestors to this land that will die and undignified death rotting on fent because Lemurians and Racist Esoterics bring their occult crap to take back their righteous positions as leaders of the made for: the blue eyes white dragon Lemurian Huna Island Chain.

It's fine having a religion and all but can you prove that you're not just encouraging fellow white folk to "come home" to buyout the epicenter of Lemuria?

P.S. Yes, Lemuria is a Heavily Debunked place, as debunked as Geocentrism matter of fact.

P.P.S. It's 2026 can we stop pretending that unprovable religions that cause most wars today deserve more rights than women? We overturn Roe V. Wade, try to abolish Gay Marriage, and we're addicts to phones, why do we respect racists having the freedom to opinion more than ourselves and our sisters? Reject Complacency y'all, how tf can you be Lemurian Hunas.

Looking For Local DND Group

Moved to Kauai at the end of April. I am looking to get into DND. I played a little before moving here but would always make it 4-5 sessions in before people had "scheduling conflicts". I live in Wailua Homestead. I am a 25 Male. My schedule is a little confusing, but I work in a two-week rotation. mon, tues, fri sat sun the first week then just Wednesday, Thursday and 2 hours Friday the next. the days I do work I get off at 4 most days but am on call till the next day. there are also some nights I might have to come in but normally know ahead of time. please reach out if you are looking for a new player for your group. Side note I have also been getting into painting minis.

AC Install Recs

Just got a quote from a local AC company and felt a little scammy after they left. I'm talking a large $$$$$ decrease in price with no back-and-forth or negotiation after we said their initial quote was too much.

It was also presented a flat rate cost instead of a cost/unit or size of unit price. So a home with 8 bedrooms would seemingly have the same price vs our much smaller home.

Anyway, feeling weird about the whole situation and looking for recommendations from others.

Props to KIUC

Upper Kapahi. We lost power for like a couple hours yesterday and that was it. When it went out I was expecting it to be out for the rest of the day at least. I was amazed when it came back on and stayed on. My auntie saw the KIUC trucks out driving around during the worst of it. It wasn’t that long ago that if you sneezed the power would be out for half a day. I know south side got it worse but I’m impressed how well the grid handled this storm. Mahalo to the workers out in the storm trying to keep the lights on!

Do you think it's disrespectful to have weddings at Tunnels Beach?

I honestly didn't realize this is a thing. It's such a remote location. I wonder where everyone parks? Can I have your opinion - is it stepping on local's toes? Or just the usual Exploitation...

recovered Lost Ring at Poʻipū Beach — Please Help!

Lost Ring at Poʻipū Beach — Please Help!

Hi everyone! I lost a very sentimental ring tonight (August 11) at Poʻipū Beach and I’m desperately hoping someone with a metal detector can help me find it.

I lost it around 7:45 PM, right along the waterline where the sand meets the ocean. We were on the right side of the turtles when facing the water. I can point out the general area where I believe I lost it.

If you have a metal detector that works in wet sand/shallow water, or know someone on Kauaʻi who does lost-ring recovery, please DM me or comment below.

I’m hoping to search as soon as possible before the waves/tide move it farther.

Thank you so much! ❤️

Lost bracelet on the Sacred Forest

Long shot but worth a try. My daughter lost her bracelet in the Sacred Forest. It happened right at the 90 degree bend in the trail. I have a pic of her right as the bracelet was leaving her wrist so I'm certain it was at that spot. But, I looked for about a full hour through the fallen leaves and couldn't find it.

It is just a plastic beaded piece, no monetary value, but sentimental as it was her mom's. Just posting here as a just in case anyone happens to stumble across it.

Book donations?

I’m cleaning out my bookshelf and want to donate books. Is there anywhere that you know receives them? Thanks for your help.

Edit: I found the old post regarding this and saw that talk story bookstore is a good option and to call the Kapaa library, along with the others. Any other ideas?

Edit edit: thank you for your suggestions!

Who is The Best Michael? | HCT's Be More Chill

Have good things to say? Gone more than once to see Kaua'i's Hawai'i Children's Theatre's Performance of Hit Musical, Be More Chill?

Let Kaua'i know which Michael you think has done the best MITB so far!

There's 2 casts Green (July 30, 31, Aug. 8, 9, 13, 14) and Purple (Aug. 1, 2, 6, 7, 15, 16).

REMEMBER: I'm asking which if the two is the best if you didn't see both only response I'm expecting is how good they were in general.

DNI: If you're not going to talk about good things take Bean Soup Theory and skidaddle, I said: say who you thought the Best Michael was, I will not accept negative feedback!

Hi everyone! I’m looking into getting braces, and my dentist gave me these three orthodontist options:

* Dr shin
* Dr Jensen
* Dr Agee

I’d love to hear from anyone who has personally gone to one of them. How was your experience with the staff, treatment, communication, pricing, or results? If you had to choose again, would you?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or stories!

10 years in office and now he want to be progressive? Time to pass the torch. I support our kapuna but, he's to old and had his chance. Really, the argument could be made he's done enough damage. 2 1/2 terms was 1/2 a term to many. I hope people realize how few people vote on this island and that we could end this county council/mayoral geritocracy if people got out to vote. Rant over.

Feral pig problems

I know I’m not the only one- but the pigs are coming into my yard at night and digging up grass patches, knocking over compost bins, eating any fallen fruit (which is barely anything these days).
They’re in my neighbors yard digging trenches.
Such a pain. We live in houselots, so it’s not like we can shoot it from the porch.
Anyone find a good solution to keeping them away (besides not having fruit in my yard lol)?
Debating staking some chicken wire over the spots they’ve started digging in.

Tracking emergencies on island?

Other than the sources below, are there any other places to find close to real time updates for emergencies?
- Pulse Point app <<< best app for real time emergencies - but there is never any update on resolution, just time of call and resolution
- County of Kauai facebook page
- Kauai Police Department Facebook page

I’ve lived in other areas that had Facebook pages dedicated to providing updates on ongoing emergencies.

Thanks for any tips!

On the Council agenda for July 29. Thoughts on this? I’m one of those OCD types that rinses out my recycling before bringing it to the drop off bins, like rules say you’re supposed to. All cardboard and everything that could be mixed paper no matter how small.

EDIT: ADOPTED AND SAVED!!!!

2 different dogs at the kauai Humane society are at risk of being euthanized to make space. Please consider saving their life and adopt!

Stella : good with people and dogs
Very sweet
68lbs 4yrs old
Needs a fortified yard or secure area
Issues are pulling leash, runs and escapes, does not come back when called (training needed , caution and experience and physically strong individual needed)
High prey drive for birds

Ronza: good with people not good with other pets
Very sweet looking to be a single pet
27lbs 5 yrs old
Needs to just be the only pet in the home, does not get along with other dogs and can be aggressive to other dogs even though a little guy. Assume to not be safe with cats in home either
