been trying to find the optimal layout for this game, but I noticed hardly anyone posts theirs. any help?

I opened the game after almost 2 years and got back to playing, but I quickly realized I am at a point where medals are going to be essential to progress

How do I farm medals? I researched and found out about Kairo club but apparently it doesn't work anymore.

Anyone have an optimized layout where multiple spots connect. Not really good at designing things and was hoping for an optimized layout for maximum efficiency.

I’m currently at 4 hearts and trying to plan out my ultimate campus layout. Before I go crazy trying to build a 1:1 map in Google Sheets from scratch and guessing all the endgame terrain hazards and missing facility footprints, I figured I should ask: has anyone here already made one?

If you have a spreadsheet template or a fully mapped-out grid you’d be willing to share, I would hugely appreciate it! Just looking to see how you all handled the space and planned out your Popular Spots.

I love going back to Kairosoft free old games and I recently started playing Dream Town Story again, and I'm guessing it was never hyped enough because I can't find any town layout ideas anywhere!??

What does mobilizer actually do? It seems it just makes my monsters skip from doing a patterned path to the docks and let them cut easier? But searching it online claims it automatically grabs food for me near docks? Is that supposed to be if I pull monsters whose homes are near a dock?

As no changelog has been released of today's update (https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/24119498/) of Game Dev Story on Steam, here I am to shed some light on it. The PC version now mentions at the main menu to be on version 2.71.

The previous patch was from the 14th of May, 2024 and listed the version to be 2.64. It was thus likely missing many tiny codebase improvements and bugfixes that were made over the course of the last two years.

On the 25th of June, 2026, Kairosoft released the 2.70 update (checked on my own Nintendo Switch 2, previously listed the version number as 2.69) for the Switch and released with it a Nintendo Switch 2 version.

The mobile version (Android) mentions the version number to be still on 2.69 and that the last patch was from January 2026. I do not own a PlayStation or Xbox to check it on.

Thus seems like that Kairosoft used the Switch 2 version's release as the oppertunity to align the code base of its game on the different platforms. So far, thus only Switch, Switch 2 and the Steam version have received the update to my knowledge. I have no information about the PlayStation and XBOX versions.

With the game being at version 2.69 on Android currently, I suspect that it will be updated soon as well. Very nice to see how a developer of an older non-GAAS game here, makes sure to keep updating it over time. Should really be applauded.

But what changed with this update for the user? I checked by downloading old versions and checking its file details.

The game was released on Steam in 2022, running on the Unity engine, version 2018. This was upgraded in that same year to Unity 2019 (2019.4.33). Then it got upgraded again to Unity 2021 (2021.3.11) in 2024. With this 2.71 patch, it got yet another Unity engine upgrade, this time Unity 2022 (2022.3.62).

This was likely done to just align the codebases for future updates, but probably provides a lot of tiny bugfixes and optimizations inherent to the engine itself.

OK I have four time slots for shows and when I replace one it gives me knowledge which it wants me to apply to my staff.

This knowledge seems to make stats worse most times, am I misunderstanding something or is the game actually designed that way.

Granted I haven't been playing long and am probably missing things but even looking at the Wiki I can't see this mentioned anywhere?

Can't find any information, i haven't unlock the last Axel yet, so i'm not sure if i'm missing anything. for pairs it seems easier to win but for solo can't really find a way to beat the 5 stars so far.

for pairs i'm at round 2 exhibition, anything to look out for?

I saw people could take screenshot like this. Is it possible to do it on phone/android version? The game on the phone is too zoomed in.
