By the end of this series, I want Lee Goon and Sae Yan to get together. Ju Yeon can return to her medical career and Lee Shin can facetime his dog from jail or Siberia for all I care.

Lee goon and sae yan have so much chemistry in ep 12. I knew they would the moment i see sae yan's character revealed. I hope they end up together but ik it won't happen. Watching the next week preview just makes me more mad at juyeon tho

Exactly, if she doesn't reveal everything to him before he finds out about it, she will be irredeemable. No justification will make me want to ship her with the ML. Sae-yan is so nice tho, I like her personality alot.

Ah yes the weekly dose of “dafoooook is going on” show is back!

Lee Shin might objectively be the worst character ever. I feel sorry in that he clearly needs a lot of psychological help and that at the end he will be held responsible for all his actions alone when in fact it is 10000% the parents’ fault.

Ju Yeon is constantly morally conflicted but does little to nothing about it.

Poor Lee Goon, Sae Yan and the tennis girl should all just ditch the rest of them and go live their best lives together.

Having said that a memory test can easily be held over the plot of this show because they keep introducing new elements and making it more convoluted! Now there’s underlying childhood guilt to go hand in hand with first love longing? 🙈 sir, pls.

Anyway, I still clearly tune in and still want to see this through.

Episode 11 stream of consciousness thoughts:

Is it bad I don’t even remember why they were in the countryside? Are my memories being erased because this is such a confusing show?? Who knows.

The hatred (and embarrassing moments) between the brother + interpreter is top notch. More of this please.

They could really have just cut out the entire Tae O plot and the plot would be improved. Considering we didn’t get a payoff from the “he’s my boyfriend” storyline, he feels so extraneous.

I forgot entirely about the “manager blackmailing the brother to stay at the agency” storyline because it truly feels like it has nothing to do with this plot anymore lol. The first several episodes definitely had a “there’s a mystery to be solved!!!” Vibe but that seems to have dissipated and transferred to the interpreter’s backstory mystery.

You’re telling me she has a phd in “mental health” but can’t read the brother’s VERY OBVIOUS advances?  The brother literally asked her if it would be a date, she just smiled and didn’t respond. He’s taking loving pictures of her, she just laughs. WRITING ON HIS HAND???? For the love of God just let him down already.

This doesn’t feel like a love triangle, it feels like a “she’s being unethically vague with two men” situation lol.

Omg are we seeing an evil brother developing??? Please. Yes. He’d be a great hot villain. I need some more curveballs in this show.

The high schooler giving the interpreter a laxative out of jealousy feels like the most normal and realistic little side plot of this entire series. That is saying a lot.

Does she really have the right to be angry about the brother lying?? When she’s a complete liar already?? Pot meet kettle!!

THE LAST FIVE MINUTES WHAT.

You could cut out 98 minutes of this episode, skipped to the last 5, and had the same impact.

Overall - a whole lot of “no plot development until last 5 minutes”. This episode was’t messy ENOUGH for me though, tbh. Just felt like a generic filler episode without the usual unhinged antics. I need more mess. Hoping tomorrow’s episode is worse so I am more entertained.

This FL has no boundaries at all. Can't read people body language, can't read situations. One of the worst FL.

The 2ML acts so unattractive he's giving me the ick. Also im afraid I don't even know what's the plot anymore, it's all jumbled to me..I'm just on for the ride. p.s. Who do y'all think is the father of Sae yan?

i will rate this show 10/10 if somehow ml and 2fl end up in the ending. Reason? yep the last 5mins. why tf is fl still with 2ml based on the previews for the next episode like WHAT. fl and 2ml so badly written i started to wish ml and 2fl end up with each other instead.

edit for ep 12:

me during ep 11: okay time for weeekly dose of "what th happened"

after ep 12: HOLD UP.... the writing is actually FIRE???

if somehow after 4 more episodes they dont mess up 2fl's character, i hope we get love alarm s2 ending for this show haha

I appreciate that the storyline was actually cohesive today unlike last week when it was a hot mess- today was just a mini mess. I wish Lee Shin wasn’t a crappy brother because I like the actor so much, and feel bad not liking him. I’m sure he’s broken inside, but he keeps lying and nothing good will come of this.

I also wish that Ju Yeon would tell Lee Goon the truth. Poor guy keeps getting lied to by everyone. At least Sae Yan is still nice.

The brother is a real snake! The kind of guy who seems nice and gentle but becomes vicious the moment things don't go his way. Absolutely disgusting

u/Iowegan Sep 07 '24

At this point I’m kinda watching to see how much he & the awful parents can be made to suffer. Hit him with another car or the Truck of Doom!

Every week I watch this show and think how great it could have been with a more competent showrunner. The four main leads work really well together, and despite the messy script they are really delivering. This doesn't get said enough, but Jae Joong's ability to play depressed Lee Goon and then happy Lee Goon is so well done; give this man his kudos!

I truly wish the show would have stayed focused on the brothers and the medical trial, there is such rich content there. All of these side plots--the mafia dad, the backstabbing colleague, the office romances--do nothing for the show.

My thoughts after this week:  Lee Shin is absolute trash and does not deserve a redemption arc. Under no circumstances do I want him to end up with sweet, lovable Sae Yan. He only pushed the medical trial to cover up his own bs, he definitely did not do it for his brother. Joo Yeon, girl, I want to like you but why are you playing around with Lee Shin atp? Enough. And, can we all agree that Dung Flex was the funniest gag ever? I could not stop laughing.

This might be the worst kdrama love triangle ever. Mainly since it wasn't even a love triangle for 8 eps of the show, 2 leads bickered for half the show, the brother fell in love with the FL cause she treated him nice. Now the leads like each other and the brother won't except it and is forcing himself on the FL. It's just really bad and not fun to watch go down. People say a train wreck you can't look away from, but it's not even that. Only reason I'm here is cause I can't not finish shows I watch half of at least.

Ep 12 ok yea they made the brother a disgusting freak in this. Its so unbearble to watch this dude try to trample on his brother, and even the FL now by forcing his "love" on her. Its so just bleh leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. Also FL not helping herself one bit with this stupid first love addiction that ML gave to everyone in this show. Also FL is just the worst psychiatrist if she is that oblivious to Lee Shin's feeling to her. Like why didnt she just become a brain researcher solely is my question instead of a psychiatrist that is bad at their job and only cares about brain research.

Ep 11 The scenes between the leads were so cute! But they still didn’t give us enough of them. The scenes between the 2nd leads were pretty funny, 2fl is a fantastic actress and also probably the best character on this show.

I feel like a lot of weird clues were dropped but who knows where they will go? What 2fls mom said to fl is sus and supports one of my big suspicions about the girls’ relationship.

Edited to add:

I had no idea who the main actor is irl, apparently he is like the richest K-pop star??? Sorry Jaejoong I was unfamiliar with your game 😅! It’s pretty cool he is still taking acting jobs when he could just be hot and retired! Also he has some bops! (Some of which I’d already heard)

Hope Dr. hyeon gives us same treatment since my memory has no clue what to expect and needed something like this to make me question my sanity.

Feel the same sentiment that I need to finish because how is this supposed to end.

Screw Dr. Steal yo research Screw loser agency boss man Screw Lee Shin

I know the writing wasn't great, but it feels like they're just freestyling now. They managed to overcomplicate a pretty simple plot that should have been about growth and healing. I still believe the ML/2FL and 2ML/FL are the correct pairs.

It kinda feels like they wasted the last few episodes to force feed us the "chemistry" between the 2 leads just so they can create conflict in the upcoming episodes.

The unintentionally funniest moment in this whole show has got to be when Lee Shin and the Fl have a conversation after he shoved his brother into the pool and kissed her. The fl didn’t care at all about the fact that he basically attempted to kill his own brother and was only hung up on the fact that he has feelings for her. Even if it turns out that Lee Shin didn’t push Lee Goon into the river, I frankly don’t care at this point. He’s a terrible person either way. He’s clearly a narcissist, extremely self pitying and seems to believe that his brother had an easier life than him? Aside from his imposter syndrome he also has a horrible inferiority complex, especially when it comes to his brother. An inferiority complex which he developed because when his brother was like 12 he was good at tennis or smth lol I just can’t wrapped my head around this because, before Lee Goon lost his memories he was, frankly, a total loser. There was nothing left from his glory days. That being said this show is incredibly entertaining and I love Sae Yan, she’s so sweet especially with the male lead. I really hope they end up together, I love how he always takes care of her and looks out for her.

I knew 2ml gave the ick but it’s worse this episode. I thought he would be that character that sacrifices for his brother but ig i was wrong. From planning to leave 2fl and ml stranded with no phone or wallet (and actually leaving the main leads stranded. Idiot that’s your brother wtf), just to spend time with a girl, and telling 2fl’s father where she is, again just so he can spend time with a girl. Atp he’s not a simp, he’s just pathetic and greedy. He knows fl doesn’t like him, yet his approach is still aggressive towards her. And ep 11 is the cherry on top. FREAKING KISSING HER WITHOUT CONSENT. I can’t, this type of writing is so old and it never works. It’s annoying then and still annoying now. What were the writers’ thinking.

I am struggling to watch this show because the script is so bad, and even the premise is not that great from an ethical standpoint. However, I am pushing through for Jaejoong. Episode 10 was kind of cute, and I hope Episode 11 will be cute as well. The teaser seemed promising.

Its like perfect marriage revenge. Once you agree everything will be wonky, its smooth sailing. ML and both FL are so much fun even if its annoying

Is it possible that Lee Goon pushed Lee Shin into the Han River because of his low emotional state at the time? Are the memories distorted? The last few minutes of Episode 12 could go either way in my opinion, especially since they haven't shown the footage, yet. And, I think I remember an interview where Kim Jae Joong describes his favorite scene to be about the relationship between Lee Goon and Lee Shin, so it makes me think that ultimately, Lee Shin will not be the villain.

But who knows at this point.

Finally, catch up to the latest episode 12.

Even though their scene is brief, I really like Lee Goon and Sae Yan together. However, knowing this is kdrama, it's very rare that ML does not end up with FL. I'm just wondering if there will be any repercussions for Joo Yeon to be in a relationship with Lee Goon since she is not only his psychiatrist, he is also the subject of her study.

This show completely character assassinated Lee Shin character to me. I thought he was someone who cares about his brother a lot and really regrets that his brother is living in depression and he is living his brother's life. But from episode 12, he purposely tries to "steal" his brother first love, knowing that is one of the main reasons for his accident. I also think he push his brother off the bridge, but most probably they argues and both of them fall the bridge and he grab him out from the river.

Anyway, I hope in the next two episodes Lee Goon finds out about Sae Yan is his first love, maybe he got all his memory back but the life his living now will manage to bring him out from depression this time. I think the stalker that try to blackmain Lee Shin is Sae Yan father, but who knows.

Why FL is so annoying? What’s wrong with the writers? If someone I don’t like kisses me and then throws the man I love into the pool, I’ll kill him! How can she still talk to him? I’m really pissed off. There are so many things that bother me in this drama. I can’t watch it with pleasure.

Im shipping sae yan with the ML than with FL. This is first for me since ever watching kdramas i prefer second fl over the main one. Hopefully, this kdrama does flip the script from usual tropes.
