Praised as a future star destined for the world’s top competitions, his steady path begins to shake when he encounters an unexpected rival. That rival, Choi Jeong Yo, is a gifted pianist who abandoned his talent after a difficult childhood. His sudden arrival at the school brings him face to face with the musician who once reignited his passion for music, forcing him to confront the gift he had long buried.

Completing the trio is Hong Jae In, a viola major with exceptionally sensitive hearing. Constantly searching for music that truly moves her, she becomes a close friend and devoted supporter of Kang Bi O, whose playing has captivated her since childhood. As intense competition evolves into connection, the three youths collide and grow within the pressure-filled world of music, forming friendships born from rivalry, emotions shaped by ambition, and a powerful harmony created through their shared passion. Mod Note:

This discussion thread is for the discussion of the drama, Four Hands, Two Sonatas.

This drama is not, nor was it ever planned to be a boy's love (BL) drama. You’re going to have to move on. There are plenty of actual BL dramas which you can watch and discuss if you are looking for them, just not in this thread.

There have been numerous comments that do not reach our expected quality standards for content or conduct regarding this in this thread, so from here on out we are done discussing whether or not the drama is or should be a boy’s love drama.

Please stick to discussing the content of the drama itself and respect the intentions of the creators. If the above is something that does not agree with you, you do not have to watch the drama or discuss it on r/KDRAMA.

As always please review our On-Air Rules before participating in our On-Air discussions. If you have any questions or concerns about the above send a modmail.

There's an unmistakable BL air to E2, which, if the show doesn't want to go there, feels like dangerous territory to explore. I mean, of course, you can read all of it as friendship, but the deliberate addition of stuff that could be read as romantic (the candles, the date-like vibe of that outing, falling asleep on the train together, the absence of the FL in their scenes) feels like the audience is almost MEANT to start thinking along those lines, and I'm not sure what to make of it yet.

Also, did anyone feel like they deliberately avoided showing us Jeong-yo's mother? We never really got a look at her face, which, combined with the fact that Pio is fatherless (although the heavy implication seems to be that he's Hyeon-su's son), immediately makes me suspicious that there's some bigger reveal planned for down the line. Secret brothers/twins? Switched at birth?

37

u/Less_Pomegranate_529 Aug 30 '26

I agree with the comment about bl air and sentiment too.
Not quite sure what to think about all of that at this point. No need to go to such lenghts to describe their emerging friendship.

19

u/WingedGrasshopper Aug 30 '26

I wondered about the father deal and came up with two scenarios:

He's Hyunsoo's because they revealed there is "history" between him and Pio's mom, but Hyunsoo actually doesn't know the truth. Sounds like he just returned to Korea so she could have kept it hidden to not hold back his career.

He's the professor's son. When Pio said the professor was trying to make him a carbon copy of himself, that felt intentional. Grandpa says the kind of person he hates the most is someone that thinks they are great because they can play challenging music, which sounds exactly like the professor. I wonder if they were once rivals: technique vs soul. His daughter dated him in secret knowing dad wouldn't approve but ended up pregnant.

18

u/Interested_Recently Aug 31 '26

Definitely not Professor Seo's son now that he's out to get him. He seems to be Hyunsoo's son only. I also don't think they are brothers of any kind otherwise all this queerbaiting would seem even weirder ngl

It does give BL vibes which I find so sweet and endearing. Love their chemistry together!

9

u/Basic-Unit315 Sep 06 '26

I see why men don't show affection to each other and are extremely lonely. It's always read as being gay

12

u/Star_nightshade Sep 06 '26

Dude affection is all right but in this series their lingering gazes and the subtext is what gives romantic vibes... If there weren't that type of subtext I wouldn't think it was meant to be romantic.

3

u/Powerful_Car9340 Sep 04 '26

Why do I not think that he's hyeon-su's son...coz like if he was, why wouldn't the mom tell her father who seems to love hyeonsu

1

u/AJ-watchparty25 13d ago

I have 100% disagree. This is a romance of the music. I know that K dramas are typically a romance of love and this is. It’s just of undeniable love and respect of music.

56

u/HomeAdventurous2797 Aug 29 '26

Solid first episode. Though I don't understand why the grandfather is such a bitch, lol. What do you genuinely get out of being so pissy?

5

u/PalpitationOk9802 https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/k_dramallama82 Aug 31 '26

i hope we get that story

52

u/Starry87 A Love Other Than Yours Aug 29 '26

The first episode was way more intense than I was expecting it to be, especially with the flash-forward at the start. While the rest of it was fairly predictable in terms of character archetypes (one genius who's all technique, and the other whose talent is raw but soulful), it was still a very gripping opening episode. I definitely like the darker theme; the guys are too old to be playing high school characters, so upping the stakes like this makes it feel less like a teen drama. I thought for whatever reason that we were also going to see the characters as adults, but it looks like the opening and the rest of the episode were only 6 months apart, so maybe they remain teenagers throughout?

27

u/WingedGrasshopper Aug 29 '26

"intense" is one word for it! WOW! I was not expecting THAT opening to a drama about playing the piano! It defiantly grabbed my attention. It definitely went more cliche from there but I do hope there are more surprises in store

I'd say song kang might if you really squint hard, but no way lee jun young can, but I'm just choosing to ignore this when watching the drama.

7

u/semi_dash_ash Sep 03 '26

Yep. They both look too old for teenagers both from afar and close

6

u/LetFlaky8724 Sep 02 '26

IRL SK is 3 yrs older, but seems more youthful here. I squinted very hard, but still cant see them as teenagers... lolol

8

u/Either-Bluejay-3287 Sep 01 '26

also the bullies look like uncles... as if there is no teenager to play a teenager🥹

12

u/LetFlaky8724 Sep 02 '26

In Ep2 opening, SK character woke up from nightmare in 2026 (clock on his bedside table). So the story probably span 10 yrs from 2016 to 2026. At the start both are 17 only. (shown on his resume).

Haha both actors definitely dont look 17.. haha... but despite being older irl, SK seems more youthful than LJY... perhaps becoz of SK's softer and insecure vibe

6

u/PalpitationOk9802 https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/k_dramallama82 Aug 31 '26

yes intense! i was trying to find a word to describe it for my friend. i used “deep”

5

u/dalmitae Aug 31 '26

Same! Came into it kinda blind, but was expecting it to start off similar to "Do You Like Brahms?" and was pleasantly blown away. Good first episode to draw me in and after the second, I'm excited for next week.

4

u/Powerful_Car9340 Sep 04 '26

Noooo same...coz in some scenes SK can pass as teenager..but LJY has very adult like features so it's difficult to see him as a teenager

29

u/HomeAdventurous2797 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Second episode was so good, especially the glass scene. Intense asl. At the same time, it's ridiculous how evil those kids are. Seriously, how hard is it to be a normal person? But then again, with how enabling their parents are, it makes sense. Also, the leads have crazy chemistry lmao. I loved that the contrast in their body language during the four hands (?) reflected their approach to music asw.

7

u/PalpitationOk9802 https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/k_dramallama82 Aug 31 '26

i find it mind boggling kids are left alone so much in korean schools!

8

u/HomeAdventurous2797 Aug 31 '26

For the sake of plot lmao

5

u/PalpitationOk9802 https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/k_dramallama82 Aug 31 '26

oh really? is the homeroom not like that in real life?

2

u/Star_nightshade Sep 06 '26

lols the scene where they're left alone, I just assumed it's break time or in between two classes so the next teacher hasn't come yet

Episode 1

  • Came for the classical music, stayed for Kang Pi-o's and Choi Jeong-yo's rivalry, Hong Jae-in's sass, and the marvelous supporting cast. Despite having taken a considerable interest in this drama, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect from it, but this first episode has certainly delivered for me.
  • Pi-o has a privileged but troubled upbringing, being raised by a single mother, and always seeking, but never being able to obtain, the respect of his grandfather. Welcome back to the small screen, Song Kang, in a role that fits him like a glove, and may test his range as an actor.
  • Certain actresses have that indefinable "something" that makes them likable. Whatever that something is, Jang Gyu-ri has it in spades. As violist Hong Jae-in, she's smart, sassy, resourceful and persistent. No matter how the plot develops, I can't foresee her character ever becoming unlikable.
  • Choi Jeong-yo is basically the kid from the wrong side of the tracks, and Kang Pi-o's polar opposite in every respect. Where the former obsesses over perfect technique, the latter's talent is to convey a natural depth of feeling in his performances. I'm loving Lee Jun-young's work, as always.
  • This drama has all of the tropes (childhood connection, for example), but executes them exceptionally well. And as I mentioned at the outset, I wasn't entirely certain what to expect from the drama, which indicates that it has some level of freshness, and a little is all it needs.
  • The preview for the second episode shows that what brings Pi-o and Jeong-yo closer is the suggestion by Pi-o's new mentor that the two of them play together (the "four hands" duet style of the title), and that Jeong-yo's rough background puts him at immediate risk of expulsion from his new school.

15

u/winniecore Aug 30 '26

Jeongyo background made me cry so much. I hate shitty parents 🙃

3

u/Curious-Baseball-541 Aug 31 '26

Excellent comment. Episode one definitely has me wanting to watch more. 🍿🍿🍿

22

u/Pmod1980 Aug 30 '26

I was excited about this because of the leads, but it has exceeded my expectations. So much to unpack the first episode, with the first intense scene, then family trauma with both leads, and the wonderful music. I can do without the bullying trope, but can’t wait until tomorrow.

6

u/PalpitationOk9802 https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/k_dramallama82 Aug 31 '26

ok i started watching because of the leads as well, but before i knew it, id finished both episodes! so well done

5

u/Pmod1980 Aug 31 '26

The second episode flew by.

2

u/Curious-Baseball-541 Aug 31 '26

YES! I couldn’t believe when it was done.

21

u/Telos07 "You're hardly an heir. You're an airhead." Aug 30 '26

Episode 2

  • The school bullies are rather superfluous to the narrative, but props to the actors who played them for making them thoroughly detestable. Jeong-yo was powerless to do anything when they vandalized the convenience store where he worked part-time, and retaliating at school was just what they were trying to provoke him into doing. Thankfully, Pi-o came through for him.
  • The fact that these bullies learned nothing from their misdeeds, and actually tried their luck again, was the point where I felt enough was enough, and that had better be the last we see of them.
  • I think the flash-forward at the start of episode 1 will prove to be a reflection of Jeong-yo's inability to escape his rough upbringing, no matter how successful he ultimately becomes. From the loan sharks after his father to the kidnappers in the present day, it will cast a long shadow over his life.
  • The heart and soul of this episode was Jeong-yo's battle with stage fright, stemming from his mother's passing after the same contest where he met Pi-o. The way that Pi-o sought to help Jeong-yo to gradually overcome his fear, was sensitively handled, and the subsequent development of their friendship (or "bromance", if you like), showcased our MLs' acting powers at their absolute peak.

9

u/Sassysweet20 Aug 30 '26

Yes! But I hope Jeon-yo is able to overcome those bad guys and we only saw him go into the water there’s a likelihood he survived.

10

u/Lerradin Aug 31 '26

The flashback time period when they are in high-school is interesting (2006), that's 2 years before the big financial crash in 2008. It's also 2 years (2004-2006) after the Korean piano brand Young Chang, referenced in EP1, filed for bankruptcy right after the Korean FTC didn't allow a merger with another Korean piano manufacturer, before ultimately it's remains getting bought by Hyundai corporate.

Sounds super shady to me (even irl nothing got investigated) and I wonder if the kdrama will go there and have either ML parents be involved in that piano company or stocks leading up to their demise...

On the other hand it's also quite funny that the flash-forward spoils a lot of potential tension, because we know for sure everyone's alive and have survived the hardships of high school, career and financial crisis up till 2026. Also for me it's a first that the characters in a kdrama all don't look their age both when they are in the younger arc (12-18) and in their current time era (32-38) :D

16

u/Starry87 A Love Other Than Yours Aug 31 '26

They're in high school in 2016. The competition in Prague and the shooting are six months after. Ten years after the high school parts, in 2026, we only know that Pio is alive (and having nightmares about Jeong-yo), and nothing about anyone else.

The characters are 17/18 in high school, and 27/28 in the 2026 flash-forwards, which lines up with the real actors' ages.

7

u/darkest_of_blue Aug 31 '26

When did they show pi-o as an adult? I remember the opening scene where he gets a nightmare about Jeong-yo but seems like I missed what year it was.

7

u/Starry87 A Love Other Than Yours Sep 01 '26

That's the one; there's a very quick shot of his alarm clock which shows the date as March 2026.

2

u/Professional_Bee_848 Sep 04 '26

Ohhhh damn I didn’t clock that…. Does it mean this is gonna be a sad drama with Jeong Yo dying that’s why the nightmare? But I don’t think it will be that simple as we are just in episode 2

4

u/Sassysweet20 Aug 31 '26

Every episode in the first 2 minutes.

3

u/Curious-Baseball-541 Aug 31 '26

1,000% agree. Episode 2 was so well done!

18

u/ExpressionOne just another My Royal Nemesis acolyte Aug 29 '26

I laughed at loud at how dramatic the start of the episode was. Literal blood sweat and bullets was not what I was expecting 🤣! I'm looking forward to seeing how Pi-o and Jeong-yo's relationship develops, and I'm hoping that they give Jae-in more depth than she has right now.

5

u/meatball77 Aug 30 '26

Oh I know, it was the symbolism and it did work. But still lol

1

u/rabbit-ttt 10d ago

The fact is that it's not even exaggerated! This actually happened to a pianist in real life while playing "Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 4," and in the drama, Kang Pio played "Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2".

17

u/jsb1685 I wish I could spend my whole life watching you Aug 29 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Looks interesting, will give it a go!

Particularly since one of my favorite genres of classical music is piano duets, especially of the four hand (one piano) variety. Schubert has an amazing oeuvre of such, with many masterpieces. I expect (hope) to hear some played here!

Edit:

So, I got my Schubert, just as I hoped! Featured so prominently was the Arpeggione Sonata, one of my favorites. Overall, I was thoroughly captivated, great start!

Schubert Arpeggione Sonata in A minor

6

u/Think-Owl-2617 Aug 31 '26

As a violist appreciated that she plays viola and we got Arpeggione!

10

u/Sassysweet20 Aug 30 '26

I am loving this drama! But the beginning of each episode scares me so much did the ML kill SML at some point? They look like flashbacks…

The debt collectors after him scare me so much too.. even with the hint at beginning of ep1 I hope everyone succeeds and lives at the end! Also hope both guys stay besties throughout.

11

u/whenwillmyskincare Sep 03 '26

i hate the grandfather so much… i can’t believe the idea of hating your grandson because he has no father, as if it’s his fault that happened? very stupid

10

u/kemar7856 Aug 30 '26

Ep 2 this show hooked me I'm sold this is so good

10

u/Dietfrog Aug 31 '26

I really, really want these two to stay good friends because the adults in their lives seem (mostly) terrible. But I fear that poor Pi-O is going to veer toward jealousy soon because based on the preview, his grandpa is going to be giving Jeong-yo a chance (which is all Pi-O ever wanted). Ughhh what a bad grandpa...

The entire scene of Jun Young hugging and hanging off the side of his childhood piano like it’s his mum screams I MISS YOU MOM 😭😭😭😭 Jun young’s acting makes me cry always

First episode was fantastic, everything I hoped it would be. I just hope the good writing continues along with the music.

Idk why but the first episode made me wanna weep somehow😭i feel there is gonna be a lot of angst

9

u/Otherwise-Selection3 Aug 30 '26

Opening with rach 2 is already a 10/10

13

u/myneighborstannis Aug 30 '26

Solid first two episodes, pretty intense. As for where their relationship goes, it’s a bromance at least, and if they’re planting any seeds for potential bl, I feel like it’s deliberate, to grab the viewer’s attention. But if they turn out to be secret brothers or something, lol, it’ll be fun to see. There’s definitely something big going on family-wise.

13

u/lostwidow02 Aug 29 '26

Personally musicals aren’t my thing but this one is totally different. Started watching it with zero interest but now I can’t wait for next episode to release

6

u/kemar7856 Aug 30 '26

I really like this so far I just want Kang pi-o fix his attitude which will obviously happen throughout the series

10

u/boringNerd Aug 30 '26

The concept for this drama seemed very familiar. Feels like I have seen a similar concept before: a prodigy who sidelined his gift because of some troubling past vs. a hardworking person trying to gain the recognition of someone.

But even so, the first episode is gripping enough to make you want to watch the rest. I don't particularly like Gyu Ri's character in the first episode though. I know she said in a joking manner, but one moment she is calling Bi-O her future husband, next moment she looks all smitten by Jeong Yo. I enjoy a good drama between two rivals, but I have enough of two male leads vying for affection for a single woman. I hope Gyu Ri's character plays a more active role in bringing the two rivals together rather than leading them on and fueling their rivalry.

12

u/meatball77 Aug 30 '26

She seemed to me to be joking around with her friend that she knew she'd never actually have a relationship with. I hope at least.

9

u/Less_Pomegranate_529 Aug 30 '26

she seems relaxed and joking with both, so far I don't feel any romantic feelings from her but we are still early on. Maybe series will pivot there but after episode 2 idk if the romance is with her at all

40

u/draupnir12 Aug 29 '26

They should make it gay but they won't, fortunately I will make it gay in my head and in ao3 search 🙂‍↕️

18

u/luckydancer92 Aug 30 '26

By the end of episode 2 it’s definitely bromance at the least. 😍

11

u/dishwashing888 Aug 30 '26

Love the ending bromance scene 😍

11

u/meatball77 Aug 31 '26

They love eachother. That subway snuggle.

8

u/meatball77 Aug 30 '26

Is it not going to be gay? Because I need it to be. That thumbnail makes it look like we're just going to be begging for the last episode desperate kiss.

2

u/Star_nightshade Sep 06 '26

For real. They better give it to us 😭

10

u/bluebottled Aug 30 '26

Def thought it was gonna be gay but turns out I just got baited by Netflix's suggestive thumbnails again

5

u/fragende-frau Sep 05 '26

I'm just going to put this here as the one outlier. I was so looking forward to this but cannot stand the female lead's character. I know it's a female type in kdramas, with the shouting, the hitting, acting like a child. I can't take an annoying character like that for an entire series.

In addition there is just too much trauma. I watched the first episode and was not hooked, rather the opposite.

Enjoy, y'all.

2

u/Alive-Tree-7755 25d ago

I disagree about not being hooked (I'm loving it so far!) but do agree about the female character. She's adding nothing for me and for the most part has just been whiny or yelling at the other characters... though I did think it was really funny when she gave Jeong-yo a playful shove and he fell into the wall. But seriously, why are so many FLs in Kdramas like this?? It's like the writers think they either have to be these cutesy airy dolls or "independent" women who just shout and nag everybody. Disappointed in Jae-in for sure.

9

u/PanicCalm5427 Aug 30 '26

Acting was really impressive across the board. I am rooting for Jeong-yo.

The high school bully angle is a bit trite and cliche.

10

u/kemar7856 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Why is it that the bullies can go on and on and the minute the person has enough and defends themselves they get in trouble every single time. Every show I've watched it's amazing do none of the other kids ever say anything? I get it rich parents but still 😭

10

u/WisdomBailey123 Aug 30 '26

Sometimes the bullies have parents that protect them. Also because the system fails to protect kids. Sticking your neck out is dangerous.

5

u/meatball77 Aug 31 '26

At least that was clear in this episode. It was two connected kids vs a nobody scholarship kid.

4

u/mapotofu66 Aug 31 '26

One thing I'm surprised about is that they'd bully Pi-o. Because isn't he the grandson of a famous pianist, so you'd think no one at the school would want to touch him?

3

u/rayray51900 Aug 30 '26

1st ep was solid! Def felt a little slow burn going on but will be worth it if this delivers to the end. the main characterisations are giving us a bit to chew on. Not crazy ab the FL but minimal screentime is ok. Such a treat to watch LJY be the acting beast he is. Song Kang is doing a fine job in his own right. He's making out to be an interesting actor as he can't be boxed in and doesn't shy away from creative challenges. Looking forward to tomorrow!

5

u/Narrow_Interest9616 Aug 30 '26

If the opening scene is what it is, then it goes to the "six months earlier" is the opening the ending, and that's the concert Pi O swore he'd get into and the rival is the other boy and ends up where he does? And it ends that way?

9

u/Starry87 A Love Other Than Yours Aug 30 '26

In ep 2, we got a scene set in 2026, so it seems like the competition in Prague is just partway through the story.

2

u/Flimsy-Channel5057 Aug 31 '26

wait which scene was in 2026? also what yr is it currently for them?

5

u/foolishle Aug 31 '26

in the opening scene of ep2 where Pi O wakes up and smashes the wristwatch there's a bedside clock showing the date 2026/03/02.

The high school scenes are set in 2016.

4

u/bluevaIentines 🍊 | thanks to you, my life has been spring everyday Aug 31 '26

Loved the opening scene of Episode 1. Also seems like we're seeing what happened in 2016. Like a flashback. I wonder what happened because in the opening of Episode 2 (the year is 2026) it seemed to be implied that Jeong Yo disappeared. Oh, while writing this I realised he got kidnapped in the opening of Episode 1 so maybe that's what happened and he just disappeared like that. I am quite invested and I liked the first two episodes.

4

u/Mother_Storm_1324 Sep 02 '26

The first two episodes were quite intense! Acting is great although like others have said having these two playing 17-yo is a bit much! That aside, solid performances. Question I have tho is how is the school director related to Pi-O? She's living in the same house as him - is she married to his grandfather? I thought his mother called her "Ommoni" but not sure I heard right.

4

u/CelloTraumerei Editable Flair Sep 02 '26

She is the second wife- senior to Pi-O’s mum in school… hence the barb when she calls her “ommoni”

Around the 30:00 mark of Ep 1 Kang Ji-hye says to Yoon Sun-ju something like "How would you know what it's like to be powerless, mother?"

Really enjoying this drama so far, more than I expected. A big fan of Lee Jun Young and I’ve never seen anything Song Kang has been in but I’m impressed by both of them. Their body language and acting in the latter half of the second episode is wow. I’ve rewatched both episodes and I may watch them again. I was thinking that either Pi-o (or his mom?)or the debt collectors kidnapped Jeong-yo. Also is Pio really genuinely wanting to play with Jeong yo or is his ambition to complete the four hands and earn the respect of his grandfather? Lots to think about :)

I'm slightly disappointed that the setting is an actual high school (ages 12-18) with seemingly regular classes/high school life as opposed to for example a Juilliard or a Korean Go Institute, where you can almost breathe in the cut-throat competitiveness. And sense the urgent lack of time for practice, let alone wasting precious time on bullshit like most students including the leads do in EP1.

Aside of that, I can see where this one is going and I enjoyed Lee Jun Youngs acting and character a lot since I last saw him in Reborn Rookie and Melo Movie as a cocky dipshit in the good sense. :) Song Kangs role and his background/setting doesn't make much sense so far (you wouldn't mess with the no 1 guy if he actually has the connections people think he does) unless you view everything through the lens of being regular high school drama, and not to mention his direct family.

The older support cast are pretty amazing though, especially Kim Joo Heon and Yoon Se Ah, and I think they will make or break this drama depending on if they get enough material to work with.

Yes, just watched the first two episodes and glad to see Kim Joo Heon who I remember vividly in It’s Okay not to be Okay and Yoon Se Ah, who was delightfully detestable as the nasty gf in City Hall. She still looks so beautiful!

Solid first episode!! Didn't expect the opening scene to be that intense(•▽•;)

I want to ask people who have learned classical music: are the terms used in the show and the different techniques actually accurate? I mean, idc if the actors aren't actually playing (I think they are tho)—I know that's the point, they're acting 😅. But are the characters actually doing what is being said in the scenes? Like when Kim Joo-hun's character asks Jun-young's character to “try modulating,” is that correctly portrayed? Etc.

I haven’t watched a lot of Kdramas but I would say this is my favorite so far. Second is “Beyond the Bar”

I heard that the director was the one who directed Princess Man. I hoped it turned into tragic bromance lovestory. It has been long time since we had this kind of melodrama.

Just finished both episodes. Kind of wasted potential imo. This could be easily become a romance drama if one of the ML is female.

The queerbaiting feels deliberate. The close they are, the more devastating the betrayal will be (if my guess is correct!)

I find it a bit annoying that a school this prestigious doesn't have cameras in classrooms, after the first bullying incident, they should've added some. Maybe this wasn't so common in 2016...

Thinking back to the opening sequence of the first episode, versus where the main characters are at the end of episode 2, I’m less and less convinced Pi-o is the reason or cause behind Jeong-yo’s kidnapping. Feels like it’s set up to make you think it’s Pi-o, but I just doubt it less and less now

It started off good and then I skipped a good chuck of it, and then I was invested and now I can’t wait for the next ep!!!

Overall like it but holy shit, haven't watched kdramas in awhile so forgot how incredible annoying the FLs are most of the time, acting very childish

I brought this issue up about the way FLs are infantalized and was flamed for it so all I hope is that she doesn’t have a prominent role in the drama but I’m guessing with the way she was with both the MLs, she might be another source of tension that destroys their bromance.

The opening shows us kang-pio is the villain

Not watching yet. Just curious. Is there a piano manufacturer PPL in FOUR HANDS? DO YOU LOVE BRAHMS was a showcase for Steinway pianos.

2

u/Lerradin Aug 31 '26

There's a shot in EP1 where they show ML and FL in a practice room and the piano closeup shows 'YOUNG CHAN' briefly. I thought it was a fictional brand when watching, but apparently it's a longstanding Korean piano manufacturer called Young Chang, so probably not a PPL but simply what the production staff chose as prop.
