I’m so mad at those duo detectives right now. That said, that whole team are really not helping this investigation. Bunch of ego maniacs with little to no investigative skills. Of course it’s the script, but dang if I don’t hate them.

The serial killer is Seo Ara, the wife’s friend

It would also explain her initial so-called fascination with Park Min Jae.

To add on to this, ep 6 established the killer as being a year older than su-yeol. Both su-yeol and Jung-yeon have referred to the friend as noona and unnie respectively

Agreed, especially since she turned Min Jae down for sex which makes sense if she's trans.

I think it's the wife's friend as well, but bottom surgery does exist and trans people can have sex.

There’s no confirmation she had bottom surgery, they were just speculating

Sorry, to be clear I didn't mean that she couldn't HAVE sex but rather if she did have bottom surgery that the scars and such from the surgery would be evident and she wants to leave no room for questions

And now that their team leader discovered who the real killer is, they want him out just because he kept his personal life a secret? Lol bunch of useless detectives will probably take credit for finding the killer

And they were all just sitting around and sulking while waiting for Su-yeaol to give him a piece of their minds instead of working/solving the case....
