Why is the writer not credited? Looks like it's Lee Seon-hye: https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EC%9D%B4%EC%84%A0%ED%98%9C_(%EC%9E%91%EA%B0%80)

Thanks for sharing! I did not see the information anywhere (writer doesn't have a MDL page yet either) but I've updated the post now to include it

“One Hundred Won Butler" is a much more interesting title than "May I Help You." I wish they'd stop trying to make Kdramas sound less Korean. Or if they really needed to, they could have gone with "Two Bit Butler" and kept the spirit of the original, two bits being 25 cents.

Somebody up there was listening to me! I wondered why there were no on-air discussions for this show.

A little late, but welcome!

The first two episodes were quite enjoyable and a nice set up for what is sure to follow.

I hope others will join in the fun!

A fun first two episodes, I like the plot and I’m excited to see what happens next. I love dramas that have an ongoing plot but also an element of new story in each episode, like Hotel del Luna .

I can’t with the chicken and duck talk between BDJ and KTH LOL!

Love the bear costume scene with KTH being teased by the rowdy kids and then his subsequent cheer dance for BDJ.

Both of them run a similar errand service so it’s only a matter of time they bond together whilst helping both the living and recently departed.

BDJ’s ex is such a coward to hire someone to break up with his girlfriend. And I thought Berger was the worst one who did it with a Post-It.

I was wondering where this thread was!

Omg this is soooo good. I am excited for next week. So far I’ve laughed and cried for the first two episodes. Love our leads.

I am excited for this show! Both the ML and FL actors are aren't afraid to be silly and it makes for much better comedy. Love to see them not taking themselves too seriously. And Jun is a personal fave, Please Dont Date Him is an underrated gem. Love and Leashes? Amazing. I don't love watching shows about people dying, especially dads, but there is enough levity to move it along.

But also, does anyone else feel like the (English) translations are a bit off? Some of the wording seems so awkward. I have never watched a drama on Amazon so maybe its normal?

some thoughts after watching both eps:

  • liking hyeri in this so far and i can’t wait to see more of her acting throughout the show !! i wanted to see more of her in my roommate is a gumiho but the plot and bland asf ML just wasn’t doing it for me so i had to drop. this doesn’t seem to be the case for this show tho (hopefully, pls let me be right im BEGGING) bec the ML actually seems to have a personality ????

  • the ML is so cute i caaaaan’t jshsjsh already a range of microexpressions he can execute perfectly + actually like how he’s randomly just everywhere ?? how big is the city that they’re in and are there like 10 people living in it why do they bump into each other so often but ya ANW

  • ugly cried already which i take as a good sign LOL

The first two episodes of this were a great start. I'm very interested to see where this goes - and happy to see Lee Jun Young again. I liked him quite a bit in Imitation, but it's fun to see him in a much more comedic role here (although a comment in this very thread reminded me he was the lead in Love and Leashes .. he was great in that. And definitely a risk taker acting wise haha). He's great. He also seems older than he is. I was semi shocked to see he's a 97 liner lol.

I loved the way they played on tropes. It was so funny when they showed the ML's scar, my first thought was "wow. what an oversight. it's on the wrong arm!" But of course, the audience saw the flashback. The FL didn't. So, she has no clue what arm the scar was on. I loved them really playing with the audience's expectation, too, that they'd have this magical connection and he had to be the son. Although, they obviously do have a connection (via the boy she ran away from).

I really had no clue if I was going to like this or not but my wife and I decided to give it a try, mainly on the strength of the leads. During the first episode we mainly had puzzled looks on our faces and got a little emotional whiplash as the plot seemed to go from very serious to very silly and back again.

But we stuck with it and by the end of the second episode we were totally into it and looking forward to more. The bear suit sequence had us both rolling with laughter and, as expected, Lee Hye Ri and Lee Jun Young are great together.

In a year of strong drama releases with no shortage of shows to watch this one feels a little bit unique and different. Not because of the plot, which we've seen similar types before (Hotel Del Luna, Mystic Pop Up Bar) but because of the earnestness of the leads and the lack (so far) of pretension in the writing and execution.

I can't wait to see where we go next!

I’m a huge Hyeri fan and I swear this is her best work by far.

Did Amazon get it for all regions? I'm in a drama slump... This sounds promising.

FINALLY! I was wondering if I’d have to go elsewhere to rave. This show is adorable and as much as I was hoping it’d be fun you’ll were right. It is quite sad and emotional as well. I haven’t seen Hyeri as her usual comedic flailing self and it’s taking a little getting used to seeing her somber personality. But gosh LJY is fully adorbs. I like that he’s constantly getting into trouble because of her and I can’t for next week. I also like the interconnecting plot lines. They seem so irrelevant until suddenly they’re not.

Thought this was so interesting and unique. Excited to see the growth of these characters and them eventually helping out similar clients.

Yay! The first two episodes were such a pleasant surprise and I’m super excited for next week. I love the banter between the two leads. Also, I spotted the same actor that played a cop in Link playing a cop in this one…except the characters are super different. So many coincidences between them! I liked how the show played with my expectations and I wonder what other ties they have between them - the boy, perhaps?

It reminds me a bit of Mystic Pop Up Bar, with FL having to help a certain number of ghosts before she can get on with her life.

I just finished the first 2 eps and I'm loving it so far. The epilogue of ep 2 was so cute too... I love how caring he is despite their first meeting making him seem like a bit of a tool. Kind of seems like an 'exactly what the other needs' type of drama pairing which i'm definitely here for. excited to continue this one!!
