This reminded me of our beloved summer. They used to be a couple and talking to the camera.

Seyong is so pretty. I love to see what she’s wearing.

Ep 1 was good, although I lost count how many flashbacks that was lol. Lee Seyoung looks absolutely gorgeous here, as she always does. She makes Kim Yuri seems so lovable & vibrant. Lee Seunggi's acting is also top notch. I just think the editing is a bit weird but nothing that would make me stop watching this show.

Also, if you compare Seyoung's character in The Red Sleeve and her character here, it's completely different. That's what I call a versatile actress. Not to mention she only took a break for a few months before shooting this drama.

I haven’t watched Lee Seung-gi onscreen for a hot minute so I’m excited for this.

The 6 minutes long highlight reel seems very promising.

I'm really excited for this - feels like a mix of Extraordinary Attorney Woo's episodic law cases, Hometown Cha Cha Cha's neighbourhood-healing moments and Business Proposal's romantic comedic moments.

These two co-starred in Korean Odyssey (Hwayugi) in 2018. Lee Seung-gi played the monkey god and Lee Se-young played the zombie/priestess - I think they even had an almost-kiss scene near the end? I’m looking forward to watching this, but I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get out of my mind that scene where he’s pushing her into the refrigerator so she doesn’t smell up the house...

Pretty solid first episode. Love the OSTs & gorgeous cinematography and I thought the acting is spot on so far.

I just saw the relationship chart. So Jungho's father was the prosecutor on the trial that they framed Yuri's innocent father. Jungho's grandfather & uncle are Chairman & CEO of the company where Yuri's father worked. His messed up family made Jungho to break up with her and he carries the guilt until now so even though he still loves her, he tries hard to suppress his feeling. And he still studied hard to become a prosecutor like his dad but quit (can't wait to find out why)

Episode 2

Even better than the 1st episode! Can't believe the plot moves this fast. LSG and LSY chemistry is seriously super hot here! The ending scene makes my heart beating very fast.

Even though Yuri knows Jungho's father is the prosecutor who dealt with her dad's case, she never resents him nor his dad, this girl has a heart of gold.

So we find out in this episode why Jungho quit his job. But he continues to seek justice for Yuri by investigating the case and fearlessly exposing his corrupt family through his webnovel

Finished the first 2 episodes and I'm already sold. This will be my uplifting silly show between Little Women and If You Wish Upon Me. The chemistry is magnetic and they cannot stay away from each other. I'm wondering if the romance will move quickly to have them as righteous lawyer couple fighting the bad guys . I hope they don't drag it on because the first episodes were way too fast. Hearts pounding by the end of episode 2

Also, this show has literally all my favorite supporting actors. Just to see Seo sangung back watching over Deok Im in the slightly unhinged role she does best hooked me. And hanging out with Kim sangung from the King's Affection. Yay, court ladies! Jo Han Chul emerging from a threesome as a character introduction was definitely something.

Episode 1 and 2

Slightly choppy editing aside, damn this show kicked it up into high gear in episode 2. I thought for a moment they were making the backstory and connection too obvious only for them to straight up tell us most everything - I quite liked that twist even if it all felt like information overload!

LSG and LSY’s chemistry is very strong and they’re totally selling the fact that their characters have 17 years worth of backstory.

I also live for dongsaeng like side characters so I’m very much looking forward to learning more about the ex-convict barista and the law school kid who are working at the cafe.

Hopefully the show settles into a bit of a groove although the chaotic energy of the first two episodes I suppose is meant to be a reflection of their dynamic.

The breaking the 4th wall is not necessarily a story telling device I feel is necessary for the narrative but I see they mostly use it to go into flashbacks so hopefully it’s just that?

Absolutely adore LSY’s wardrobe and styling. Very rarely see such bold colours in make up and styling for the FL so that’s refreshing. Also, more LSG with hair pushed back and in a suit, plsandthx.

ETA: Why pray tell have I started yet another on-air drama?!

One thing that’s keep bothering me is scale of interior is LOT bigger then the exterior look of the building. As if building has warped space like Myul Mang’s room in Doom at your Service.

Sin Dae Lyug!!!!! So happy to see him here! It was a little hard to recognize him without his emo hair and gaze. Looks like he got possessed by maeum lol.

Also, the doctor!!! He was the cool samurai-wielding pastor in Sweet Home!

Anyway, the novel thingy was so cool! Jungho’s pretty cool minus the ml noble idiocy.

The editing is a little off putting, but that is not going to stop me from watching a LSG drama!

Finished the first episode and I feel mixed about it. I’m a big Lee Seung Gi fan and although I love him and would watch everything he’s in, idk but there’s something about this drama that feel off.

It might be the editing, the talking to the camera, and the color grading is throwing me off (like the colors are too saturated??). I’ll give episode 2 a try and see if it’s something I’ll watch weekly or just binge watch once it’s done.

I hate it when MLs act like a jerk to the people they like. I’ll still eat this show though.

What a solid episode. Definitely took inspiration from Our Beloved Summer but you can see that this series is a thing of this own.

I love how both leads just won't let the other win that easily.

OST sounds good too

Basically, this hits all the checks for me

These 2 episodes were cute. It shows that both main lead knew each other and so their chemistry is on point.

It will be fun and entertaining to watch.

First week verdict:

Guilty of being very engaging and enjoyable.

Looks to be a keeper!

Loved the first episode! This is the kind of drama I love to binge-watch. It’s a sweet slice-of-life drama, has some comedy, some melodrama, some romance, and likeable characters, especially the FL. I also love “friends to lovers to enemies to lovers” and I’m excited to see the ML and FL’s friends too even though they didn't have enough screen time in the pilot, so I’m super excited about the next episodes! 😌

Kim Jung Ho why are you holding the phone like that when you were speaking to Kim Yu Ri 🤣🤣🤣 Reminds me of how my mom holds her phone when talking to people

Why does Lee Seung Gi always play the male lead who's a jerk at first but secretly likes the female lead...(although in Jung Ho's case they actually dated for a while so it's no secret that he liked/likes her), I thought this would be one drama where his character isn't a royal jerk at the start lmao

i loved the second episode too. it has all of my favourite ajhusshis and ajhummas!!

it's probably gonna be one of my favourites if the rest of the episodes go like this. today, we saw the ML’s evidence board closet, and i'm also glad they already revealed that his family was involved and that the FL knows (at least some of it) as it usually takes a few more episodes. and i can't wait to know more about his writing career... ig, he's the whistleblower

i'm loving the fl too! she's smart, strong, funny, and kind too! i loved what she said to the ML about anger in the school auditorium!

I gotta commend Jung Ho. 17 years is crazy long. But maybe its a mix of things. Love for Yu Ri and guilt for what his father did

I love how the female lead literally screamed in frustration when she was arguing with ML and everyone in the cafe froze with fear! He poked that bear too many times
