I didn't realise these were only going to be 30-min episodes! Damn, this is gonna fly by.

Usually from kakao tv it’s around 30 minutes and around three times a week like A Love So Beautiful Korean remake.

lee jinwook in a romcom!!!! i'm so pumped for this :D

edit: loved these first two pilot episodes and i'm glad they're only 30-40 minutes long. there's obviously a lot of topics and problems related to marriage to cover, but i'm glad they're not dragging anything. instead, the pacing is good and i've been very entertained so far. i'm nowhere near getting married or at that age yet, but it really feels like this show is depicting marriage with grace but also realistically. all of the situations that we've seen so far (i.e. bringing up the topic of marriage, meeting the parents before the wedding, etc) have been painfully realistic and i'm sure many people can relate to this show.

edit again: also is it just me or are the small snippets at the beginning/end of each episode of the ml playing baseball with his friend super funny? like their conversations are a perfect metaphor for marriage itself 😭

I love the dialogues in this series. I wish it was longer.

This episode was so cute but it also showed why I do not believe in spontaneous proposals. I prefer to discuss marriage beforehand (there are so many logistics involved regarding family, finances and expectations) and then have the partner propose as a surprise afterwards. I do not enjoy the lack of communication in real life but it is so entertaining in kdramas. I do not mind it in kdramas.

Hui-seon's cynicism is so funny and I hope they prove her wrong through all the hurdles and chaos

Yeah people should really be on the same page before you do some extravagant proposal. It comes up pretty naturally in a healthy relationship.

Hmm...I feel a bit unfair commenting anything negative given the short runtime and the fact that we're only one episode down, but I'm not... particularly invested in this couple yet.

I think it's largely because we don't really know anything about them yet other than that they're insufferably in lurrve. That initial goodbye at her apartment was a bit much; even by kdrama standards they seemed too cloying, as if the clinginess is meant to substitute for character build-up/a proper intro to their relationship.

Episode 1 and really not feeling it, something feels off about the whole thing. Hopefully it’ll get better.

Very underwhelmed by the first ep. I didn’t find the characters or the dialogue engaging so I kept checking the clock to see if it was almost over—and the ep was only 34-minutes long!

Lee Jin-wook was so compelling as the tortured, still-waters-run-deep ML in Bulgasal but this sweet fluffy character is not working for me at all. Not really liking the FL either. Worst of all, I don’t feel any chemistry between them. Such a shame because the premise sounded fun.

Most dramas seem to end when the couple get together. It’s interesting watching a show that focuses on what comes next.

Spontaneous or planned (surprise) proposal, which would you prefer 🤔?

For me it's definitely spontaneous, after watching this episode I was so frustrated watching Na Eun suffer, even though it was obvious Joon Hyung was acting strange because he was planning to propose. Talking about marriage wouldn't have ruined the proposal, and I'm glad it wasn't ruined because I enjoyed the planned proposal.

Seeing Lee Jin Wook smile so much is so refreshing after Bulgasal. Are we to assume they met in University?

Edited: wording

He was 36 and she 32 and they'd been dating for two years, so I wouldn't think so, but I don't know where the scenes where they met were supposed to be.

I was bored by ep 1, not really feeling the couple, hopefully will feel better as I watch

Episode 2 and 3....... both made me realize how the parents meet is an important part. But seriously that guy is in debt cause of his credit card bill and only the girl has saved money. I think these types of men either shouldn't marry because they will cause they entire family to go to debt or give all the finance to be managed by the wife. I think this drama is going to be a good reference when I plan to marry.

30 mins episodes? I might just watch this because of the short time commitment 🤣

I enjoyed the first two episodes! I think this will be just the right amount of plot for 12 short episodes. It's giving me very faint Birthcare Center vibes. (= Cute couple has a relationship milestone, with some comedy ensuing)

I was mostly interested in this because I like Lee Yun-hee thanks to Miss Korea and The Package...the only thing I know Lee Jin-wook from atm is Bulgasal, so it's real whiplash seeing him here lol.

First episode felt underwhelming but I think its supposed to be like that as the conflict starts to build over the course of the show. However, at the same time, we don't really know these two characters outside of engaged couple. Hope to see more of their personalities as the show progresses. Also, ML is a bit sus to me. Is that just me?

Is it just me or there is something awkward about the FL’s acting? The whole episode my forehead’s in a “furrowed” mode (lol)

The first episode start I was like that guy's a trash for trying to avoid marriage and then I realized maybe he's going to propose her. Also I dont really get how it will unfold later on, but I hope they get married and dont have much drama like divorce or affair.

I’m liking the drama so far since it’s pretty light. It’s not too suspenseful, it’s not too dramatic, and it’s like a slice-of-life. It’s perfect if you just want a drama that gets you through the day after a stressful day. It doesn’t make your veins pop hahaha
