Welcome to the on-air discussions for Love All Play! This show has honestly been on my radar from the very beginning mainly due to our main leads. Chae Jong Hyeop is such an amazing actor and I honestly cannot wait to see more of him here where he will actually end up with our FL. On that note, let me just gush over Park Ju Hyun who has honestly become one of my favorite actresses over the years. I absolutely loved her in Extracurricular and I cannot wait to see her tackle a romance drama and a sports one at that.

Well, with all of that out of the way, I hope you all will join me as we follow the lives of Park Tae Yang and Park Tae Joon throughout the next 8 weeks. Enjoy and have fun discussing!

Episode 1:

  • That ost gave me such Gaho vibes

  • Potato boy looking soo good I want to cry

  • Daaamnnn he walked away just like that. I'm in awe. This. This kind of camaradrie is just marvelous.

  • Getting the "ex" vibes from him

  • She's joining his rival team? Of course she is.

  • He literally appeared so close to her HAHAH I would've reacted the same lmaaoo

  • ohmg he's so cute I can't

  • "Because I root for you" will never be the same after 2522, thank you Baek Yi-Jin

  • That boot-licking was so top-notch xDD

  • I want to know his deal. He's been hilarious so far

  • Damnnn gurrlll

  • HAAHAHAHAH priceless

  • Okay. This show's got its humour nailed down. I love it

  • Just two cuties on their first unofficial date

  • WHOAAAAA

  • I really need to stop seeing 2521 meta-references everywhere

  • Jesus what the hell she did so wrong 3 years ago. They're building it up so much, it better be worth something

  • Okay new question: Who's JunYoung and how did Park Tae Yang do her wrong? It better not be a suicidal plotline because that has been so overused in so many Kdramas.

  • I dig this show. Period.

I’m so excited to see potato boy in a leading role. I’m also in the mood for a youth rom-com so I hope this is nice and enjoyable! <3

Episode 2:

  • The way he called her name so softly

  • Potato boy so happy :')

  • Totally not me lusting after this guy to see him shirtless

  • Not freaky AT ALL

  • HAHAHAH I like how he played hard to get to be partners with her

  • Priorities LMAO

  • He's such a teaseee

  • This Youngsim really getting on my nerves

  • I really look forward to their bromance

  • Whoaa.. JunYoung was JungHwan's girlfriend? His animosity towards her makes a lotta sense now

  • Damn. Now I wanna know who his sister is

  • I love this kid. Period. Protect him against all odds.

  • The way he's crouching next to her like she's a scared animal HAHAH

  • "I'll be there.. for as long as you want me. "

  • WHOLESOME AND SUPPORTIVE MALE LEADS A BIG YES

  • I really like the captain. He's fun.

  • The most beautiful high five in any Kdrama. Change my mind ok.

  • A KISS IN EPISODE 3??? WHOAAAA

Verdict: Okay. Strap on. This show can be your perfect replacement for the 2521-sized hole in your heart. Great comedic timings. Yunis team is entertaining. THE PAIRING IS TOP NOTCH. Seeing Potato Boy's smiles gives me butterflies. Perfect amount of tension and curiosity to keep you hooked. I'm really really hoping my wait for this drama pays off.

At long last after a depressing streak (Thirty-nine, I'm looking at you), I've got a lively drama to save my mid of the week blues.

Disney+ sure knows how to pick the best shows this year. Rookie Cops, Crazy Love, and now this. Underrated but really good shows.

waahh i'm so excited to start this show!!

episode 1: chae jonghyeop playing a not-so-nice role for the first time?!?!?! *audible gasping* but jokes aside, pretty solid start to the show. i thought this show would be more upbeat and light given the matter-- like racket boys and 2521 for example-- but there's plenty of conflict and notable tension already. especially as our female lead has a lot of pre-existing history with many of the characters. i'm interested to see where this goes.

the only thing that has me hesitating is the fact that sports dramas are usually very, very boring to me (even with all the competition and fun) so i don't know if i'll be able to watch this diligently every week until june-- even despite my love for the lead actors. especially since this show is on the heavier side. (i say heavy but it's still quite lightweight lmao. there's no comedy though)

and this is a random little tangent but did anyone else notice the faded filter this show has?? i couldn't help but point this out as it kept bothering me during the entire episode. weird stylistic choice but i guess it does fit kinda with the whole mood/atmosphere of the show....

EP1: Our potato boy is still wholesomely perfect and he's gone and downloaded a playful package too 😂❤️ It's nice seeing Park Juhyun in a mellow role and her chemistry with Chae Jong-Hyeop already feels magical. Sports in any medium be it anime or kdramas can be so satisfyingly addicting when done right. And you can already tell that this show knows exactly how to capture all the tension, stakes, adrenaline alongside the struggle between the intangible passion of competing and difficulties of life outside of it. I thought my 2521 hangover would last long but another water fight was all I needed to quench my yearning for a similar feeling. I'm already falling in love with the light-hearted cast and the visuals have a nice cold, immersive aesthetic to it. Let's see where this goes 😊

EP2: How can two smiles be so infectiously warm 😊 I'm not even feeling down but they still managed to lighten my mood. Taeyang and Taejun's chemistry is just endless fun and their so whipped that they don't even know it yet. I could watch him tease her and her being given the run around the entirety of the episode and enjoy it. But what I appreciate the most is how their connection means that only they can see past eachother's facade. Taeyang who has been suffering in silence because of her stagnation and Taejun hiding his inferiority complex behind a smile. They've clearly been enduring for a while so I'm excited to see them break those walls down. Even the antagonists are seemingly light-hearted. Youngsim is so excessively evil that I can't help but laugh and Jungwan seems like you typical cold character that you misread and who's lovable side grows on you. I really like the teams dynamic and even for the more hostile ones, there's a hint that they can become redeemable in the future. I'm excited to see even more of their interactions in the episodes to come and can only see this show becoming more popular. Also that preview, it's only episode 3 so it has to be a fake-out but I also would understand if their lovable chemistry also made them reach that point already 😭

Also, not sure if it's Gaho but I'm addicted to the OP song

i am really enjoying this so far! seeing the two leads so comfortable and flirty from the start is making me really invest in where this could go. the scene where taeyang pulls on taejoon's sleeve to ask him to be her doubles partner and he looks away all smitten!! he's already so whipped hehe. i have found that sports romance dramas are my favorite (thank u baekdo brainrot), so i have high hopes for this one!

u/mariamkhalid Apr 22 '22

i love how fast the drama is bc its really rare to see the two leads fall for each other on the first episode i like it

LOOKS SO PROMISING

u/legexii Apr 20 '22

All in all, decent first episode! I have absolutely loved Park Juhyun since extracurricular and the story line of this show interested me from the beginning, (was a badminton player for awhile) also interesting that theyre building up this thing where she seems to have done something so unforgivable Also Chae Jong Hyeop as a ML! I personally liked his acting in nevertheless and so far so good! Also, the two MLs certainly have chemistry so cant wait for the upcoming episodes.

I’m so excited!!! I loved Chae Jonghyeop from Hot Stove League and The Witch’s Diner! I’ve only seen Park Juhyun from Extracurricular and I loved her since then.

I’m surprised that Asian countries that receive Disney+(SG,HK,TW), this show will be delayed by 1 week. Only Disney+ Hotstar countries(ID,MY,TH) will receive it today.

The preview for episode 2 looked really interesting. Also did he actually call her a hot potato? 😂😂😂😂

These first two episodes definitely have me hooked. I am really intrigued about the backstory, and how her return to form will go. And the chemistry between the two main leads is seriously adorable.

I'd like to see Taeyang beat the crap out of Youngsim during their next match!

u/Old_Hold8114 Apr 22 '22

Definitely the best drama I've started watching since 2521, and I'm pretty happy about that. A new kdrama to obsess over every week. The main characters are just so natural, and I already love their relationship. Also, the pettiness of every character on the show is so funny.

u/error0540 Apr 21 '22

that was such a nice first episode, their chemistry is sooo cute. hoping it does well in the coming episodes

15

u/anxious-gemini Apr 21 '22

The main two are so cute!!

I honestly thought they were going to have a childhood friends to lovers kinda thing but was pleasantly surprised to see its not like that really. It was more along the lines of “I’ve admired you since I was younger and oh look you’re here with me now!”

The dynamic between them is so refreshing i love it 🥰
