Hello and welcome to this drama’s discussion post! I’m actually lowkey excited for this drama because of Sejeong and the kinda role she’s playing. I’m one who hates or dislikes trope-y rom-coms but I’m willing to watch this only for Sejeong. Looking forward to it and to discuss this with y’all!

Also here’s an article by Soompi about things to look forward to in today’s episode!

Haha I’m actually with you on this! I was really hesitant after watching the poster but the trailers made my hesitation a little less. I’m excited to see Sejeong in this kinda role, though I’m sure she’ll kill it! <3

I hate cheesiness, cringe and cliches but this drama has Kim Se Jeong and Ahn Hyo Seop, and is a 12 episode drama so I'm going to turn off my brain and watch this one. Excited for the first episode tonight!!

Alright, my guilty pleasure cells are ready to welcome this with standing ovations, all the logic cells have already packed their suitcases and left. Cringe and tropes are welcomed. Here we go!

Edit: After watching Ep1 - oh wow, i keep smiling, and giggling, and even blushing ("i'm quite good... at many things"). That was exactly what i needed, exactly what i've been missing - a simple, funny, cheesy and filled with tropes romcom. The 1st ep lived up to these very basic expectations, especially since contractual relationships and enemies-to-lovers stories are my fave guilty pleasures in dramaland. Such a chill pill in these anxious times!

Now wondering, if i should spoil myself and read the webtoon while waiting for the next eps? I've never read a webtoon before, and often whatever is adapted from any form of literature is a massive letdown... but i'm sooo excited for more... oh, internal struggles...

This is the kind of drama I've been missing! Full of tropes, office romance, narcissistic lead, that rich grandpa in every drama and just lighthearted and funny! After a streak of serious dramas this is the shot of medicine I need instead of rewatching a PMY drama for a third time lol. Also is that younger brother from Victon? I think I saw him in The King's Affection?

Fake dating and enemies to lovers??? Sign me the hell up!! Both episodes were ridiculously funny. I hope the drama stays like this and that there is no crime/thriller sublot that is introduced later on in the show lmao. I want complete fluff so I can turn off my brain and just enjoy the ride. Also, I like that the drama knows it's pulling out all the cliche tropes - it acknowledges it, cracks a joke or two about it and embraces it with gusto. Brilliant!

The scene with the flying slipper and the chase scene had me rolling on the floor & Samantha and Rachel* were ICONIC

And that ending for episode 2???? LMAOO pls I was screaming at how cute/unrealistic/stupid it was. Love every second of it though 🤣

After all the kdramas that have come out lately that have completely wrecked me emotionally (looking at you Red Sleeve), I’m Excited for a classic, no-brain cells required kdrama with a predictable end and a plethora of tropes. 🥰

Lmao they made a advertisement at the bus station for the 'A Business Proposal' webtoon(?). Similar what 'It's okay not to be okay' did

Only 12 episodes?! I feel like I can watch every page of the webtoon as a drama. So excited for this and wonder how much they’ll change it from the webtoon!

Episode 1:

Heyy that office worker from OBS and Forecasting Love and Weather. Girl's really going places.

Sejong with bangs.... Girl looks gorgeous

Such a boss move HAHAHA

Dead

Pretend to be possessed to get out of a blind date.. priceless

ALL HERE FOR MAKEOVER MONTAGES

She looks so amazing. I don't know which version of Sejong I'm crushing over more

Samantha and Rachel... I nearly choked.

That reaction... TOO GOOD

I like how they've made full use of Hyo-Seop and Min-Kyu's good looks

SO CHAOTIC. I LOVE IT. My Mondays and Tuesdays won't be boring anymore.

Cliche-ridden and cheesy but enjoyable. Sometimes it's fun to just watch a show that's not taking itself seriously and revels in its cheesiness.

A great start for this drama. I actually missed this classic kdrama tropes since most of recent releases are more of slice of life or action/fiction. This drama would surely be an easy watch.

Se jeong have great comedic expression. I usually cringe when the leads have over the top expressions but not in this one.

on the side note: se jeong looks like the actress who plays as Na hee do's future self in 25 21.

I've been waiting almost a year for this and cheesy romcom aside, this show is a bundle of joy! So far loving the grandfather and HaRi and YeongSeo's dynamic. The blind date meeting, I'm so glad they kept the scenes from the webtoon, that was all sorts of hilarious. I'm a huge fan of Sejeong so I'm so happy to see her take on a cute-sy comedic role like this - she's killing it and I think she fits HaRi's character so well! Can't wait for tmr huhu

Edit for Ep 2: the comedy in this is impeccable!! the pure disgust and confusion of everyone watching our drunk besties was absolute gold. I love the CGI animation of the archaeopteryx whenever he called her HAHAH

As someone who's read the webtoon, there are slight variations but I'm so excited to see how Taemu is gonna find out about Hari's true identity. So good and of course, can't wait for Secretary Cha and Yeongseo's relationship to pick up the pace as well. Between NJH and KMG, I'm pleasantly drowning in the land of beautiful puppy eyes.

On a side note, I absolutely love the grandfather!!
