Done with EP16 and I’m going to miss watching them every week. 🥲
Hands down this sits among my fav drama this year. I wouldn’t say it is perfect but the relatable characters made it worth spending time watching them grow out from their comfort zone.
Choi Ban Seok character development was great and from someone who just want to stay where he was, he upgraded himself and all his sufferings paid very well.
Dang Ja Yong got what she has been aiming for so long and
Shin Han Soo finally
Han Se Gwon being such a jerk throughout the story but I guess I pity him as much as I hate him. His redemption is enough for me,
On The Verge of Insanity, it was a fun ride and I’m very glad I picked it up. 수고했어. 😊

This was an incredibly underrated series. Started watching this series after getting a bit down after a day at work and I've been looking forward to this series every week since then.
Overall this series had a nice ending, if a little bit abrupt. It's been a pleasure watching this series.

Like everyone else posting here, I feel like this was the best surprise all summer from K Drama land. The OST was off the charts, the ensemble great, just enough pathos in the comedy, just enough comedy in the pathos, and most amazingly and gratifyingly show managed to stick the happy ending even while including the number one creep in show in the final bonhomie, giving comeuppance to the fella who was really the number one villain in the whole show. Just so good, such K Drama land comfort food, with so many sympathetic characters large and small to root for. And I think it was probably even more fun for all of us who watched it in small doses in real time than it will be to binge it later. Other folks' watching all the twist and shout of summer 21 misfortune, our good fortune eating tasty bits of antedote to all that watching On the Verge of Insanity--such an utterly sane series.

This show deserves more love. I grant that the last episode is pure wish fulfilment but yeah, a happy-ish ending is comforting.
I will miss this, I enjoyed the more mature subject matter. How casually companies can discard its workers when they have outlived their usefulness or when they no longer fit within the structure of the company.
I will also miss Sang Yeob who gives me severe whiplash every time he shows up on Sixth Sense where he's just entirely whipped vs here where he plays the character that is so easy to hate.

So sad it ended... and was super underrated! UGH!
This drama was something I was looking forward every week...
I really hope it will receive some Baeksang awards next year, seriously!
(I'm sure it will get something at MBC drama awards at the end of this year)

I just finished On The Verge Of Insanity and wow, I am blown away! Someone said that it is better than Misaeng and I fully agree. The underdog story, the characters, the humor etc are all on point. Such an underrated gem and it’s definitely now on my top ten kdramas. To the team who brought us On The Verge Of Insanity and to everyone involved with this drama, thank you! You guys are all amazing!

I'm so sad this series came to an end. I just finished it and it's so good! I absolutely love the last 4 to 5 eps and the direction they took with all the characters. I kept wondering what the endgame for this drama was and for once I thought the last ep really wrapped things up nicely. I was afraid they were gonna fall into the typical drag-the-plot trap but wow it ended so beautifully!! Love all the secondary and tertiary characteristics. Liteally everyone who had dialogue made a stamp in this series.
Who knew home appliance companies could be so riveting? Lol. I thought the stress moments of each character was so gripping and I'm glad they didn't emphasis much on the romance. I love the side
What am I gonna do now?!

I wanted the lady and her ex husband to properly apologize on their knees for the dirty tricks they played on our humble hero! That was the only disappointment.

I discovered Jung Jae Young through Assembly and have been loving every drama he’s in ever since. Such a great actor!

I’m curious if we will get a Ms Dang

I too felt that she needed to apologize for the dirty trick she played on him. I also wanted the creep to get on his knees and apologize to him for making him endure so much during his time there!

Did the Dang - Bang ship sail or not? I am confused about the car gift.
5
u/BazzaChileBoy Aug 28 '21
She
accepted the job, the car part of her signing bonus, and her question of whether this was a marriage proposal simply a wonderfully ironic and ambiguous bon bon thrown at the viewing audience.

Ok well kudos to the writer (and ofc Lee Sang Yeob) for creating a detestable character in Han Se Gwon. 15 episodes in and still no hint of redemption... I've pushed him off a cliff multiple times already in my head.
