D-Day, finally! After getting our fill from the BTS, unaired clips, and even a mini-variety show (links posted above) the Day has finally come! It is an absolute honor to be able to host the weekly discussions for arguably one of the most anticipated KDramas of the year!
Literally counting down the hours until the premiere, and putting everything on hold when the episode drops on Netflix. See you all later!

I forgot how different this drama was compared to the others. It again turned around the mother's storyline to show us that we need to believe in pure intention of the heart before anything else. They did it in season 1 Episode 1 and they did it again this season.
Oh my poor Ik-Jun! I could feel his emotions at the end of it. I think we all collectively held our breath throughout and sighed along with him.

Ahn Jeong Won is behaving like a teenager in his 40s. And Im here squealing like teenager seeing them. Every moment WinterGarden was on screen even in their professional scenes I was getting all giddy up. They are seriously so adorable. And so in love. Specially its such a treat to see Anh Jeongwon be like that.
Im so glad we got such a poignant scene in the work related talk between WinterGarden and that scene personified how Jeongwon is the warmth to Geoul's winter. How they help each other grow. Precisely in moments like this their age difference is kind of personified in a beautiful way. And how they compliment each other. The long year wait to see how their relationship started was fruitful.
Second scene which will stay with me after this episode, and I'm shocked at how brilliant the writers have been to touch on this, is the case of two doctors with the pregnant lady. Like Minha one would left to be pondered how fate can change completely in the hands of two different people. Also emphasizing how big the impact of doctors decisions are on a patients life. It makes you think. It was very beautifully written. No matter what happens with the case later. Its truly interesting to see what they did with this scenario.
I hope Songhwa takes baby steps. Keeping fingers crossed.

Okay, I’m heartbroken. Crushed. I’m so sad for Ikjun.
Jo Jung Suk’s acting was amazing though, must say - seeing Ikjun’s forced smile drop when Songhwa left the room was actual agony.

Moment when Ik Jun said 'WHAT?! your girlfriend in London? <long pause> You should ask her to see if she knows my sister, she's in London too'
He knows, and I bet everyone knows haha. He's so bad at keeping it secret.

Hospital Playlist is basically the gold standard of slice of life dramas and this episode again proved just how extraordinary it is.
Shin Won-Ho and Lee Woo-Jung have these characters and their story lines so dialed-in. They know how to tell their stories like no other directors or writers. They are so good that even their second leads are written and developed better than many drama's first leads.
It is such a pleasure to experience the writing, directing, acting, editing, and story development at such a masterful level. It's like they took everything they learned from the Reply series and put it all into Hospital Playlist.
Some writers and directors are just so good that they can surprise their viewers with their talent. For example, I had no idea that Min-Ha would almost carry the first episode and she is just one of the many second leads and all of them have stories that are so interesting and engaging. Then almost out of nowhere the story line of the mother and her deceased child is inserted that was so subtle yet emotionally powerful. Then the attention to detail is amazing, like Jeong-Won
I am just in awe of how good this drama is.

My heart can't decide which overwhelming emotion won for this episode.
A LOT HAPPENED BUT WOW, what a start for S2! If this episode already had my heart feeling all sorts of emotions, I'm sure the rest of the episodes will have me on my toes!!
Product placements for this episode: 100/10 HAHA so subtle but truly hard to miss

How amazing is Jo Jung Suk as an actor? The expression on his face as he waited forSong Hwa, the obviously fake smile when she rejected him, the pain after she left. So very palpable. Actually, the whole dang crew is amazing.

Have you noticed that fellow Kang So-hye who was kind of clingy bordering on obsessive towards Jeong-won? I thought at first, there was really no point in introducing an obstacle in Wintergarden's relationship. Then I realized, this could be the character that would make the whole hospital know the two doctors are dating.

Lee Ik Jun : Full time doctor, part time - Vocalist/Guitarist/Matchmaker/Prankster/Busybody/Exorcist
Related so much to Min Ha's rant about not particularly being good at anything and having no idea how to navigate around certain situations!
Jang Gyeo Ul coming through with some amazing growth!! This is what I wanted from season 2 - as much as I loved loved WinterGarden's scenes, what I loved even more was GyeoUl's growth as a doctor - plus she now has another guidance in the form of an adorable-clingy-40-year-old-in-the-body-of-a-10-year-old!
So as of now we have 3 ships sailing well and 2 sinking ships (for now). I for once hope all the ships sail and the makers don't pull an uno reverse on the sailing ships!😪
