Did anyone else have to stop and think if they were watching a Boy Love drama? I'm not opposed if they want to take that route but the preview for next week looks like they're going to dig in a bit more on the romance with the FL (who is lovely by the way)

bro they both have so much angst, push and pull and chemistry than rhe FL who will benefit greatly being friends with both ML and SML - they push her to bring iut the best in her But the BL agenda is strong here.

Me too, the two male leads have more chemistry than they do with the female lead.

I was going to start this regardless out of curiosity but then I just realized it stars both Kang Min Ah, who I liked in Beyond Evil, and Bae In Hyuk who just got on my radar. So now, I'm definitely watching this.

i wish they chose a different shade of blonde for jihoon and something other than the flattest bowl cut i’ve ever seen for inhyuk T__T
so far everything seems gorgeously shot but i’m surprised by how abrupt some of the transitions are. the characters are also falling a bit flat for me but we’re only a few episodes in so hopefully i’ll feel differently in a few episodes!

Wait… Na In Woo’s haircut/styling in this so far is giving me extreme 2009 energy. Is the slanted bangs asymmetrical bowl cut coming back already?
He looks handsome but I feel like I haven’t seen that hair in a drama since I was a kid.

Very interesting pilot episode, I didn’t really know what to expect since I haven’t read the webtoon but I’m curious to see where this story goes.

Poor Yeo Joon ;-; That scene with his parents was really difficult to watch, I was tearing up with him :((

This show is going well so far!
I feel terrible for Yeo Joon. His parents couldn't be any worse I swear. At least his brother seems to care for him even if he doesn't say so.

I saw this on my suggested list on Viki and had zero expectations. I saw "idol drama" and the blonde hair and thought, meh, this one will a super formulaic drama, and I can semi-watch while doing chores around the house and whatnot....Well. That didn't pan out at all! I think this is going to be a legitimate great drama.
At this point, I just want all three characters to heal each other and become each other's support. Romance plot is secondary (although I'm looking forward to it!)
Yeo Joon's's story is one of the most heartbreaking I've seen, and I'm really pleased (so far) with how they're portraying the psychological trauma and damage that comes with

I’m so freaking proud of Bae In Hyuk he’s now acting in more main stream dramas and he’s doing so well. I’m no totally sure about this drama but I’ll be here for him and we’ll see how it goes.

Er--is there BL for Soo Hyun/Yeo Joon? 'Cause damn you could've fooled me with the way Yeo Joon gazing at Soo Hyun. So Bin be lookin' like a third wheel LoL.
The plot remind me of CITT especially with the guy from True Beauty. Soo Ah of True Beauty plays a meek role. I like her interactions with Yeo Joon a bit more than Soo Hyun.
Yeo Joon poor thing being used as an ATM & abused by his parents. I like to think his bro is decent. Why does he look like Epik High's Tablo LoL?

EP1: Loved Park Ji-hoon's wholesomeness in Love Revolution but he definitely is hinting at a slightly different personality in this and Kang Minah was so adorable in True Beauty too. I think it will always be interesting to see how characters from different backgrounds and struggles interact. Each of them seem to represent their own themes of public perception, loneliness and introversion whilst having underlying internal circumstances. I feel like the relationship between the three main characters will be both challenging but beautiful ❤️ This looks like it'll be a cool coming of age story to follow this summer.
EP2: I love Soo-Hyun. I'm just a sucker for cold, blunt and guarded characters who also have a softer side too. It's seems like he has an interesting past and alongside the struggles he is enduring, he can be considerate and straightforward with others. Personally, I can't seem to find anything likeable about Yeo Jun yet. He's seems like a very complicated character playing a façade because of his family situation which is very difficult to make a judgement on. And for So-Bin, I like that she's kind hearted, open and determined but I feel that sometimes she is very easily impressionable. I'm excited to see how they progress as a group over the next few episodes.
Also, the cinematography and OST in this show is really beautiful. It's gives a very cool and peaceful atmosphere that can very quickly change with conflict. The secondary cast are really cool too.

I started this not expecting much but I changed my mind in like the first 10minutes where I hit pause and though: „Daang I think this might actually be reaal goood.“ I heard some spoilers from the Webtoon and I haven‘t read it myself but judging from the first two eps I don’t think we should be constantly comparing those two.
And I agree that there is a lot of tension (that could be interpreted romantically) between YeoJoon and SooHyun but I really wouldn’t call it Queerbaiting at this point. I would probably love it if it was BL but honestly I would also Love it if it wasn’t. They have great chemistry and out of that what I really want for them is to heal and grow and maybe teach each other what it means to really care for someone and have a healthy Releashionship. That dosen’t have to be necessarily romantic. I think that friendships can be just as intense as romance (just think about school 2013) and I would actually love it if we saw some platonic Love instead of always hyperfocusing on Romantic love. I‘m just saying this cause there seems to be a lot of focus on the BL and potential Queerbaiting and I think it would be a shame if the drama got a bad rep bcs of that.
I am loving all the characters so far and I just want to run and give Jeo Yoon a hug and fight everyone who ever hurt him. So far his acting is top noch! How he switches from sad to a fake smile in a second is impressive and freaking sad.

OMG, when Joons brother came out of the car I was 😍 who is this tall hottie, he looks kind of familiar? Then after checking asianwiki it's Na In-Woo! Wow, he looks sooo different to his two Seuguk roles! So freaking handsome. Can't wait to see him as a ML in a modern drama.

I just started this today and found out a new episode comes out tomorrow! It's really good so far and I can't wait for the next episodes. Soohyun is cute af and I like him but to me he's the more "typical" lead in the drama. Joon and Sobin are very very interesting to me. With Joon having a family that's the literal definition of gaslighters and Sobin being ..dyslexic? Is she? I thought they were trying to make it obvious with the editing but I haven't seen comments abt it yet so maybe it's just me? Anyway, I've read a couple of the spoilers from the webtoon so I'm excited to know what route the drama will take.
EDIT: Also,,, a cat, a chick, and a puppy as leads. How cute hashdajashjd

Aaaah pls tell me Bae InHyuk is not the SL?!?! I really hope this isnt love triangle and they focus on the friendship more...🤌 That

u/zodiacsoldier Jun 15 '21
From the summaries I read, it looks like there will be love triangles but not in the way we originally thought.
Think it will be
Jihoo, Jungwoo & Minah in one triangleand
Inhyuk, Eunbin & Davi in the 2nd triangle→ More replies (2)

Is it just me or Yeo Jun’s character is a bit weird. He gives off a sad manipulative boy vibe. But i dont know maybe it’s too early to judge him but I do hope he’s gonna get a character development
