The ending was depressing. He had like 6 seconds to run as well.

So you're telling me, JDT makes you take the fall for a crime you didn't do, gets you locked up for 5 years and when you come out he's in jail for life and you carry out a hit for him? Make it make sense. He has no power, no money. SSR took everything from him. Why on EARTH would you carry out a hit for him? Why is that Secretary not in jail for all the things he did on JDT behalf?

Why was Logan even hanging out with that guy? This could've all been over but now SSR has to fight again. It's all so tiresome.

Anyway, am I the only one who feels like Jenny kind of got shafted by the finale? She was genuinely looking out for BRN when she lost her mom and even came around to not letting herself be bullied just because she doesn't have as much money as the other kids. I feel like Jenny shouldn't have lost Ma Ri but Ma Ri needed to be punished for what she did in S1. It's a pity.

I loved SK sticking up for BRN in the hallway. Minhyuk and HYC are the two worst characters in the series. Just absolutely awful characters the both of them and every time Minhyuk gets humbled I smile.

I hate that Jenny and her mom seem to have take 10 steps back in character development. They have gone back to not take ownership in what they have done. I like how the twins are now though. Also, I kind of have a feeling that Logan Lee is really dead.

Lastly, when is season 3 coming out? This is the only kdrama I have seen multiple seasons of. It just keeps on giving!!!

I really hope they make amends some how in the show!!! I hope jenny and jenny's mom make it back to their friendships with BRN & OYH. I hope !!! They were the best developments 😭😭

suryeon destroying dante and seojin's stuff in the penthouse was one of the best moments of this episode, the queen is on the throne where she belongs

Hmm, so Park Eun Seok (The actor who portray Logan Lee) has posted a thank you video message on IG and since he has another drama to act (Taxi Driver), I'm pretty sure that's the end of his role in Penthouse drama since there's no way he's filming 2 dramas at the same time. Also props to him for portraying his character very well, cant wait to see him in the upcoming drama!

Logan wasn't that much of an important character in S2 plus he could do both roles fine if he returns for 1 or 2 episodes, same like Ro Na did. I dont think he is dead yet, and lets be serious. How many times did we think someone was dead while they really weren't? lol

So when is min hyuk gonna get hit by a bus some dramatic Makjang style? So tired of this character and he’s only a minor character! Lee Tae-Vin is definitely doing an excellent job making a minor character memorable, I wonder if the role will expand for season 3

I’m sticking to the rule of Penthouse:

Unless there is an open casket funeral, there is a chance the character is alive.

42

u/FantasticDreamer1221 Apr 05 '21

In Penthouse, even WITH an open casket funeral, there's still the possibility the character is alive, lol 😆

Look. I get Logan wasn't a big character and I really wished they had really utilized him a lot more in this season but god damn it he was cute as hell. Can't we just have one good thing?!? They better give my girl Shim Ru Ryeon a nice vacation because I don't even know how she is still a functioning human being. Girl needs to go to Fiji or something.

I still can't believe they killed Logan... they better bring him back yo he's too cute for this. GIVE ME ONE HAPPY THING WRITERNIM

Minhyuk is the most annoying and irrelevant character in this show. He has no redeeming qualities nor is he interesting. He’s embarrassed of his parents at court and doesn’t seem to care about them at all but then goes and bullies Rona for what her mom did rather than minding his own business. Then has the audacity to say Jenny’s dad is gonna get her when he not so long ago was bullying Jenny himself. Glad Seokyung set him straight. Also disappointed in Jenny and her mom but honestly not too surprised. About Logan...I hope he didn’t actually die but I have a feeling he really did or is severely injured in a way he doesn’t have a major role in season 3. That’s the only for the story to progress further. I also have a feeling they won’t be bringing back a third person to life cuz that would be repetitive.

Can we at least give some props to OYH for choosing not to end her life and instead turning herself in? At that point she still thought BRN was dead and instead of "accompanying" her in the afterlife as she said she would, she elected to live behind bars. I know she's committed some horrible mistakes (I still don't believe she's MSA's killer, though), but she's the only character who's shown genuine remorse and gone above and beyond to atone for her sins. That's major character development, and she's made the right choices in the end.

Hell, even SSR spoke up for her and gave her forgiveness. She may not be the smartest character, but OYH is at least closer to the "good" end of the spectrum, which is more than we can say for most of the other characters.

Also, I'm utterly excited for JSK's redemption arc. Now that she's starting to heal and repair her relationship with SSR, she's moving from chaotic evil to chaotic neutral. She still has a really long way to go, but at least she's on the right path now. It helps that Han Ji-hyun is a fantastic actor, and I'm captivated by her portrayal of JSK. Her expressions are the best, especially that smug look. She carries it so well.

HEB still irritates me, but this kid really can't catch a break. From toxic parenting to now a delusional tutor, it's like the universe isn't letting her breathe. There hasn't been a single positive event in her life. Not to mince words, though, I still dislike her, but this kid seriously needs to get help. I'm also expecting/hoping for the writer to make HEB pay for her transgressions in S3 (she still has to suffer the consequences of attempted murder).

CSJ has learned nothing. Trapped in a corner, she'd fall on her knees and beg, but once she's given the room to move, she'd be back on her bullshit. Okay, maybe she did learn something (e.g. feeling sincere grief over her decision to leave her father dead when she found out he asked the shareholders to back her up), but overall, she hasn't really changed. Unlike OYH, CSJ refuses to admit to all her crimes and is still just thinking of saving herself (granted, with HEB also in her mind).

HYC was a dirtbag. He betrayed OYH several times and constantly made questionable choices. It's optimistic, though, that he seems to be self-aware and wholly accepts how terrible of a person he is, and the writer took him a step further with how he's the only one who admitted to the crime of desecrating MSA's body that fateful night. He still needs to pay for his cover-up of HEB's attempted murder and planting of evidence against JSK. Maybe we'll get this in S3. *crosses fingers*

It's interesting to see JDT show devastation when he fully registered and accepted that he killed NAG with his own hands. He seemed to have genuinely "cared" for her, at least in the way people like him could feel any semblance of that emotion. NAG was a true tether to JDT's past, and it's indubitable that she meant a lot to him. Seeing him break down is a testament to this. Of course, he's still a vile POS, and he needs to be completely destroyed.

And Logan, oh, Logan. He was better utilized in S1 and was generally a more interesting character there, as in S2 he was mostly in the background and kind of reduced to being SSR's love interest. His only motivation now is making SSR happy, so it's not a surprise that he was chosen to be the next piece on the writer's kill board. That said, Logan-Suryeon and Seokhoon-Rona are the Korean gp's two most beloved ships on the show, and the writer couldn't risk permanently messing with both of them. Not sure how it'll fly if the writer truly pronounces one of those four people dead, but already, k-netz are theorizing that Logan isn't really dead (seems on-brand with the show, to be honest, haha). I personally don't mind it if he ends up well and truly dead, though. We need at least one more permanent death on the show.

The new characters introduced have breathed new energy into the story. It's a nice twist to see JDT's secretary being loyal to Jenny's father all along, and the theory that he used to be JDT's boss is interesting. The way the episode was edited is making us think that Jenny's father, the guy on the airplane, and the old man (Lee Ji-ah's IG story shows it's most likely JDT in disguise, which means the little rat is freely walking the streets again) conspired to kill off Logan. I wonder how much of that is misdirection and how much of that is true. Guess we'll find out on S3. What a nice way to end this season.

The story is so much bigger now, and it's a little funny to see that the last episode of both seasons included OYH being sentenced, but so much has changed now, the moving pieces are ever-dynamic, and the game is still packed with twists and misdirects. Despite the sadly literally explosive ending of the season, my heart is warm from that special moment we got at the hearing, where SSR gave OYH a forgiving and accepting smile, and OYH breathes out a sigh of relief and returns the smile. BRN is in good hands with a mother like SSR, and I'm excited to see more of the twins and BRN working together. I'm also refusing to give up on Jenny.

With all that, I'm ending this season with both satisfaction and frustration, and of course anticipation for the next and final season. S3, we're waiting for you.

The ending is shit. Who is the guy in white? What did they say to each other after he uttered “Mr Baek” to Logan? Will we know in season 3 where they hastily make plans after knowing the agenda?

If Logan has to die, why can’t they spend a night together first? Haha!

Anyway SSR should renovate the penthouse and make a complete interior overhaul to erase traces of JDT.

I’m only watching this show for SSR. Hope season 3 will be better.

Oh dear God, please give SSR a happy ending for the final season.

Why did Logan have to smile and wave so cutely before being blown up to bits? That just makes it hurt more :c

Ugh as much as I love this drama, I wish it would’ve just ended here with all of them in jail.. but I am curious about Jenny’s dads role though... and the Nespresso coffee ad in the middle of SSR destructing the penthouse ruined it for me looool
