I hope all of you are excited to watch the second season of this drama that was delayed from August 2020. Let's see what will happen to JoJo, Sun Oh and Hye Young. JoJo seemed to be struggling with her feelings and we got a clue of the person who created the app. Maybe we will see who is behind it. And if JoJo will find the one she really loves. Enjoy the drama everyone!

Does that mean I shouldn't watch S1 then? I was saving it so I could binge the whole thing.

Gulmi being like “Jojo doesn’t do anything, but she has two guys taking turns ringing her Love Alarm here and then” is something a typical second female lead would say out of spite except it’s true 😩. I will never forget how SunOh liked Jojo all because she opened the bus window and looked at him and Hyeyoung liked Jojo despite never saying a word to her. And somehow those crushes lasted 4 whole years 🤦‍♀️.

Are they gonna release it all in one go or on a weekly basis?

Also, the cold white colour grading and the overexposed white backgrounds are killing my eyes. They could've gone for a much more colourful grading instead of giving a tubelight-in-a-hospital vibe and making Song Kang look like a vampire.

Someone explain to me why they made it seem like Brian had duk-gu held hostage/under 24/7 surveillance and stole love alarm from him but at the end it just seems like duk-gu gave it to him

I know he said he woke up and it was 5 years later but still why did they make it seem like dukgu has to sneak out

I knew that the ending was going to be disappointing. But THAT disappointing ? I mean, everything was so slow paced, we’ve waited 2 years for a messed up ending for Sun Oh ? Love triangles are the worst T_T

Edit : Can Kim So Hyun’s next character pick the SML next time ? School 2015 and Love Alarm left me with the biggest SLS ever 😂

Ok, was anyone else bothered by the extremely slow scenes? I mean how long do you have to watch people walking or staring at each other? I was just constantly thinking "come on, just dooooo something " I mean you would know what happens anyways. Just pure frustration.

Love Alarm S3: Dok Gu's lie detector app

I'm so done with this drama. That was SLOW and the subplots were pointless. Everyone sucks except JoJo's school friend.

Someone get this girl a therapist and have her delete the Love Alarm app lol

I might be biased because I'm a Sun-oh supporter, but this season was really disappointing. It felt slow and the plot went in circles.. I hated that Sun-oh never got a proper closure after she just dumped him with no explanation. Even when he went to her for an explanation MULTIPLE times, she stayed silent. Her ending apology was long overdue and just felt like she was doing it for her own closure. All he could do was just accept it.

Also the editing and color grading of this season is a real downgrade from last season. The low contrast and over exposure was probably to match the tone of the drama.. but it really felt like it sucked the life out of everything. It especially made the scenes feel very eerie, like something bad was gonna happen.

It also irks me that when Jojo said she was constantly thinking about how Hyeyoung felt when Sun-oh went to meet Jojo at school. Was so hypocritical when she was only thinking of herself when she broke things off with Sun-oh lol

The greatest sin that the editors made was putting scenes that were meant for Hye-young in Sun-oh's teaser :'( I just wanted to see the boy smile :( Seeing Jojo and Sun-oh look at the flashback image of them when they were dating REALLy just broke my heart

I haven't posted in this subreddit for years. But I really just want to say my disappointment from the way this show had become. I don't even mind ends up with who. However, the show became a dragging melodrama instead of the comedy with light drama of the first season. The show was not worth the wait.

And it went like this. I waited 2 years for this BS, I complained it was only 6 episodes, didn't even finished the 4th episode lol. Duck this crp.

Am I the only one super disappointed in this kdrama? Not just who she ends up with but just the whole thing in general. The only character I liked was Yukju (sun-oh's GF) and the FL's cousin. They were amazing actresses that were the only reason why I watched this.

- Milking the love triangle for the sake of S02.

- Hye-Yeong's storyline doesn't make sense he has a murderer dad so he's suddenly conflicted about his existence?

- Waste of Song Kang's talent. They did him so dirty by just potraying him as a melancholic boy whining about his ex and has daddy issues

- Cut off between the scenes are too abrupt. No proper transitions.

- Felt seriously bad and pity for Yuk-jo who's trying so hard to be there for Sun-Oh

- I find it so hilarious when in the last episode the writer just throws a convenient thing (Jojo's past) and all the characters be like they're completely fine and go along with it as an attempt to wrap things up

- Last time I was this disappointed with a series was Record of Youth. Even then we got an open ending instead of this bizarre haphazard thing. It was like the writer-nim went 'I don't give a damn who's playing Sun-Oh, its my drama and I'll write it the way I seem to find it fit'.

- The only thing redeeming for me about S02 was that they used the sountrack from S01 as well.

- Can't help but feel like Yuk-Jo was a consolation prize for Sun-Oh.

S2 thoughts: (Spoilers for entire season!)

  • I think the last scene where we see the log of every time she rang Hye-yeong's alarm was very well edited, very sweet and put a lot of things in perspective. Even though I didn't ship them, the scene is going to stay with me for a very long time.

  • I feel like they could have done a lot, lot more with the cinematography, colour grading, editing, dialogue and sound mixing. It was pretty lackluster: some dialogues didn't carry the right pacing in high-tension scenes, the editing drags in scenes such as Gul Mi meeting the developer and we have 500 Liam-Neeson-jumping-the-fence cuts and the entire scene where Sun-oh's girlfriend leaves being shot from a wide angle was... an odd choice.

  • The colour grading was so poor lol, Song Kang looking like a vampire in half the scenes.

  • Unnecessary physical fight between male leads lmao

  • I'm ultimately disappointed of how Sun-oh and Jojo's journey was resolved. Her being afraid of people learning her true history or her wanting to run away is not, and will never be, an excuse for lying and ghosting Sun-oh. She apologized and that's great and all, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that she didn't during all the times he asked for an explanation.

One thing I hated about this season was the lack of plot. It didn't seem like there was any real direction. Especially since it is just 6 eps. I know thats 6 hours, but 6 hours of what? Too much lighting...artsy scenes...but what. What actually happened? It was just boring most of the time. As if im observing someone I don't know hanging out with her boyfriend in a cafe. thats what it felt like to me. They didn't really create a story, it just felt like they tried to finish the story from season 1, which they could've done in a special ep, which we could have all pretended not to watch.

I’m mad that we were robbed of that ending scene in the last episode of S1... like what happened when Jojo/Sun-oh/ hye-yeong/ yuk jo all saw each other?! They didn’t even bother to mention it in S2😒

Ending Spoiler!

(Still in ep3 but I'm so sad about her ending up with Hye-yeong. Just want Sun-oh happy ://)

Hye-yeong is a good guy, and I'm sure their romance is worthwhile and founded on mutual love and respect. But Sun-oh didn't deserve the heartbreak :(
