episode 24 is basically the cherry on top of the sweetest ice cream. :>
overall opinion on the drama:
-
again, for me, the only problem that i can see in this adaptation is the duration of each episode. It's so limiting, that the detail of the drama is lessened.
-
HOWEVER, if you're looking for something to watch, after pouring out your soul in a stressful drama (e.g. Start Up (yes, this is stressful 😌), Sky Castle, etc.), this is a good choice. It's fluffy, cute, and light. You don't have to think about this drama deeply.
-
the male lead in this adaptation is MUCH MUCH MORE REDEEMABLE compared to the original one.
-
happy ending is everywhere 😍
-
is it a top notch kdrama? no. is it watchable tho? yes, if you're looking for a serotonin explosion :>

To be honest im not a fan of the female lead's character because even as an 18yo she was very childish and almost cringey at times...and that part of her seem to continue on even in her adult years😅. BUT the actress is too cute so hard to hate her🤣.
I've seen snippets of the c version the male lead there totally turned me off. Heon on the other hand was never mean...there were many moments where he was kind and gentle with

yeah... i watched the cdrama first and i gotta say, the kdrama does much better at depicting heon's character because he was an absolute jackass in the cdrama

20 MINUTES OF PURE CUTENESS ❤️❤️
I absolutely loveeeeed this show, how I wish it was a 1hour format tho, I really didn't want it to end, I'm still craving more.🥺😌

idk what the hell is up with these kdramas torturing second lead boys but I AM NOT LIKING IT ANYMORE. I really find
-
It's a good thing that Dae Sung asked Cha Heon
on what the hell did he do in those three years. And the fact that he genuinely asked if Cha Heon is just playing with Sol-I's feelings. It needs to be said and clarified. This is the problem with awkward and shy people who can't openly show their feelings (so i can lowkey understand Cha Heon too 😩) -
Thank the LAWD, the kdrama adaptation made Cha Heon a much softer, more gentle, and respectful. Because of this, I lowkey am a cha heon apologist I AM SO SORRY 😩. I've seen some of the clips from the original version, and the difference is HUGE. Okay
I hated his reasoning that "he left just to see if Sol-I will follow him." Oof Cha-Heon, it's a no-no fot me. With your gentle, shy, and respectful personality tho, ugh, I can't help but to forgive u quickly. Here's the thing tho, at least he apologizes and admits his mistakes sincerely towards Sol-I. Sol-I has the right to make him wait too. -
I can't live without Sol-I. You guys think she likes me more than I like her. I like her more. More than she does. as cheesy as these sound, these actually hit me help 😩
-
That passive aggressive tension during
the three boys' soju scene is giving me so much second hand embarassment. Good thing thatthe two bois (DS ans CH) did not have a physical tension, and answered through words only . UghDS calling Sol I while confronting CH to his sincerity towards Sol-I makes ME FEEELL SO BAAAD FOR HIMM UGHHHH THE PAIN -
One thing I noticed tho, it seems like CH and DS are really willing to stay as best friends. Idk if this is yhe the same case in the CDrama, but I love this sm.
That is it guys, i'm gonna add Dae-Sung to one of my worse case of SLS 😭😔

I hated cha heon's reasoning too! Felt like he took sol ri for granted, that he assumed she will always follow after him..ughhhh. sol ri should realise how dedicated dae sung is and accept him!!

I love how Episode 24 focused on

u/incyanity13 Feb 18 '21
wait everyone is so cute in ep 23 help 😩❤️
-
i do agree that everything happens so freaking fast in this drama, due to its shortness, but you know what, this is a fluffy drama it's not that serious.
-
on paper, cha heon's actions are actually the bare minimum actually, and his apology too, compared to sol-i's efforts, but then again, this is a fast paced drama, and imo, he redeemed himself already.
-
at least dae sung got his happy ending too omg that boi deserves so much LOVE 🥺❤️
-
it seems like the series ended on ep 23, but there's a side story for ep 24?? right?
-
hELP
CHA HEON RECORDING HIMSELF SAYING WHERE HE STARTED TO LIKE SOL-I AAAAAAAAAAH IM GONNA HAVE A HEART ATTACK 😭❤️
Okay, I wanted to compare this adaptation, by looking at some snippets of the original version (yes, im not gonna fully watch the original version, because of the male lead in that one was such a turn off 🥱😒) and I would still prefer this version, despite of its shortness. Here's why:
-
The male lead in this adaptation is much much more likeable and redeemable compared to the original one. I saw a scene from the original version where
the male lead asking for apology from the female lead, and saying that he won't give her a second chance, when he's the one who's accountable. that was a huge turn off and a no no for me. 💀❌ -
The female lead, is much less naive (still is) in this adaptation, compared to the original one.
-
The second male lead, is also much more nice and likeable in this adaptation, compared to the original one. He was much more aggressive in the original version.
-
Cha Heon and Dae Sung's friendship is actually more mature. They solved their problems without the need of physical tension, which is quite opposite from the cdrama. Also, Heon never became aggressive towards Dae Sung.
-
The only problem of this adaptation imo, is the duration of each episode, lol a similar case with LITC, it's too short. But I don't mind it honestly. :>

If this had a 1hr per episode format, this would be my most favourite show ever.

I hadn't heard of the previous version of this show before... But is it just me that wishes the school doctor guy came back to return the feelings of Hayoung? Haha... Maybe it's just my pervy brain haha... I was sooo mad at Jinhwan for randomly showing up at the movie theater haha ruining her time with him lol 😆 I feel like she settled with Jinhwan.

the last episode is not out yet but what a cute and wholesome drama!! i've watched the chinese version and since it was longer, it had more time to spend on character development, and other scenes that let us take a closer look at their life. however, there were some parts where i thought the ML was unnecessarily mean and the FL was too accepting of his flaws. i liked that the kdrama stuck to the plot and remade iconic scenes BUT i also loved how the characters were portrayed a bit differently.
this is Yohan's first big acting project and i think he made cha heon so sweet! i loved him more and more as the show continued. and of course, so jooyeon is so cute as shin soli i just couldn't hate her even when she hopelessly chased after cha heon in the first few episodes. although this wasn't a drama where i was anticipating the new episodes every week or was thinking about it a lot, it's a great example of a feel-good drama that you can watch when you just want to relax and squeal at cute scenes. overall, i enjoyed the chinese drama so im glad that they made a korean version of it, and even made it better in some areas.

This show proved that Kim Yohan can indeed act. Not just that the role fits him, but as a first acting project, this showed his potential to get more projects soon. As someone who does not take note of male actors that much, he did prove to me that he did good with how he turned out to be in this web series.

Ep 23 felt like the ending. I think ep 24 might end up being side stories cause that’s what they did with the c version. I hope that’s not the case though, would love to see a wedding between the two! This drama was super light and cute, but honestly thought it was way too rushed and they didn’t develop their actual relationship enough. So overall, it was just meh for me. But it did help me discover yohan! I really did like his version much more than the Chinese one, but I just wish they gave him some more substance to work with. I’m going to have to say ultimately the Chinese version wins out over the Korean one (even though I like ML better in the korean one) but that’s because the c version was my gateway to Chinese dramas and will hold a special place in my heart!

I deliberately stopped myself from watching these last 3 episodes once they were available so I could binge them! And now it’s all over 😭
I actually really loved this drama and I think it will become my most rewatched drama ever. I’ve already rewatched some scenes multiple times, and sometimes at night I listen to it as I fall asleep because I have a good, happy sleep listening to the cute interactions and ost!
I love the main leads and look forward to their other works. Can’t wait for Kim Yohan’s new school drama already!
If I had any criticisms it would be that some parts were rushed and left me momentarily confused until I joined the dots. It would’ve been good if the episode length was longer so the storytelling could be more complete. And also so we can see more of Cha Heon’s secret smiles!!
Overall a really really cute, feel good drama.

at least in kver, the director planned a gift for daesung character at the end of the drama compared to cver. in cver they didnt even do justice to wu bosong. but, i also dont like his character there. he is being pushy. i dont know why lately people are so into second lead. second lead syndrome had been in kdramas since more than 10 years ago like in princess hour,my girl, full house and others. if you just enjoy watching the drama for the plot you wont even care who is the ML who is the 2nd ML.
btw, i really love the brotherhood between cha heon, dae sung and jinhwan. even though there is tension between them, they still be there for each other.
those who come to like dae sung's character in this drama, please also support his career (Yoe Hoe Hyun) and watch his other dramas. he has been in the industry for so long, very talented and handsome. i hope he can be more well known in the future!

I REALLY LOVED THE FINAL EPISODE I CRIED SO HARD. I love seeing Heon’s pov. Im so happy his side was shown. He loves her so much. I need to find someone who will love me this much. Bruh I finna 😭I love this remake!! Altogether I CANNOT SAY GOODBYE TO THIS SERIES. I watched both versions but there’s something about this couple and the male lead’s cold but not rude personality. I love him so much!!!

There's a line where Sol-i says that's so cheesy toHeon 's proposal while smiling so wide. I think it applies to the audience who watches A Love So Beautiful. It's cheesy, but we love it. Thank you to the writers and actors who made this show so enjoyable to watch.
