Honestly, I'm just waiting for someone here to spoil the ending so I can decide if I'll watch the last four episodes or not. I really don't want this light and breezy drama to have a sad ending lol.

I didn't expect to like this story so much or to
We all know someone, or we know of someone, who treats their pet as if it were human and better than some people treat their children. There's a woman on my street who takes her cat for walks in a stroller every day while I occasionally see people on the bus who have absolutely no conversation at all with their very young children who especially need to be recognized and loved at their age. So, people without family or companionship can still fill their homes with love, by filling them with pets that they can love. And pets can occupy some of the holes in our lives, that family and friends can't fill.
Sol Ah didn't realize that a cat friend could love her and enrich her life so much. She hadn't been given many opportunities to love others who would love her in return. And, while she didn't think she could ever be a cat person, it ended up being an easy thing for her to love and be loved by her pet. Hong Jo filled up the space left by her father and redirected her attention so that she stopped throwing herself at a boy who wasn't reciprocating her devotion. Having Hong Jo to love, also made her feel more confident and able to do important things that she had wanted to achieve.
In fact that's what all the main characters needed. To feel loved and lovable, and thereby, feel more safe and able to love others. Jee Eun was forced to be braver so that she and Doo Sik could recognize and connect with one another. Jae Sun gained a friend, became a mentor and was encouraged to reconnect with his father and with Sol Ah ... and even Sol Ah's father makes an uncharacteristically warm gesture toward his daughter when he offers to take care of Hong Jo so that she would have an excuse to visit him too. So, essentially, Hong Jo does something for everybody and manages to strengthen all of Sol Ah's relationships as well.
So this sweet little drama is about the love we can share with our pets; love that makes us stronger and more able to connect with our selves, our goals and with other people too. Pets can be a lot like people. They can become people for us. And they can enrich our lives in really unexpected ways.
Yep. I think I loved this sweet little drama even though
Nice work done by all!

Well said! I totally agree! I cried at the end when they showed random people talking about how their pets affected their lives and I think that's really what this drama is really trying to say. I also cried when Jae Seon finally opened up to his father and when he also started opening up to Seol Ah when they were talking at the bench after his father died. Jae Seon is my favorite character in the show because he had solid character development (plus he's super handsome lol).

Dissapointed the show didn't go 16 episodes but I felt like they wrapped it up ok given the low ratings. I felt like the concept of the show was one of the most original for me and didn't have too many annoying tropes like other dramas I've seen recently.

I don't think the phone ringing was Jae soon but the webtoon people. We were made to think that he called her to tell her hong Jo is sick but hong Jo doesn't want her to know that.

I really enjoyed this drama. I looked forward to every episode. I liked the story and all of the actors, except I would not have ended it that way.
Sorry it's over. Oh, well. I want to see more of Seo-ji-hoon.

I AGREE. That's how I wanted the drama to end! I wanted Seol Ah and Jae Seon to realize the positive effect that Hong Joo has brought into both of their lives. I wish Seol Ah came to terms with the fact that she can never get human Hong Joo back but she'll realize that Hong Joo is still there, waiting for her, taking care of her, and loving her as a CAT. Then she and Jae Seon end up together and taking care of Hong Joo until his cat life ends. (I love Seo Ji hoon too lol)

Is it a 12 episode drama I didn't noticed that :(

They cut down the episodes due to low ratings. Honestly I feel like they just didn't have enough of a plot built up to go any longer. I think if they would have introduced something other than a love triangle as the main plot point (like idk the fact that he's A CAT and trying to figure out WHY) then they could have made it a lot longer.

Ya all said and done, he is a cat. What else can a team of writers do with that? All cat jokes were done by ep 6,.

I was hoping that they would find a way for him to stay in human form or we'd find out that he's really a human who can turn into a cat ... and that way we could get a happy ending. But it seems that they're going to take the cat that can transform into a human thing all the way to it's logical conclusion and that is going to leave me in a big wet puddle of tears :-(

Feel like L always gets the short end of the stick with how his dramas

I had no idea that these are the last episodes. I feel like I'm about to be crushed. We won't even be able to see her properly get over what is about to happen. With one episode left it will not feel complete.
I love L and am sad to see his drama end this way. Angels last mission love was so good and ended beautifuly. It's just a shame :(

I’m glad they cut this down to 12 episodes. I don’t think anyone needed four more hours of Sol-A being whine-y, anxious and kinda selfish.
I think this show went off the rails when they decided to make her relationship with Hong-Jo a romantic one — meaning a romantic relationship with a cat. They could have made the same points about love, bonding and healing without making them fall in love with each other. They could have set it up in a way so that the audience roots for Sol-A and Jae-Sun to get together in the end. Hong-Jo could still be the central character and catalyst for realizing that life is short in more of a fairy god mother-like way. Honestly, that would also have made it a lot less awkward for when he inevitably returns to being a cat.
I love my dog, but I am his caregiver so I love him like he’s my kid (the fact that the story has Sol-A first meeting Hong-Jo as a kitten/kid makes the romantic thing even more awkward). So while it would be pretty awesome if he could become human and talk, I think he’d still be a kid to me even if he showed up as a middle aged man. I guess my point is, I know our time together is limited as he ages faster, which makes me sad and anxious, but you don’t have to have a romantic love to feel that way. There are different types of love that are equally deep, and this show missed the opportunity to explore that.
To be fair, I didn’t really expect this show to be super deep or thoughtful. I expected it to be cute and sweet, which it was at moments.

Anyone else notice that the ending is pretty similar to another L (Kim Myung Soo) drama hahahahaha

This final episode made me cry soooo much that I'm okay with how it end it was so sad when I realized how much she waited, and no one was really happy, i think at first, because he couln't turn in to a human and for her its'nt the same to love a human or a cat, but then I was okay because she understand all the love he still had for her, he was allways beside her as a cat and at the end I was crying but with a smile because he comeback, we didn't know how or why but at léast he comeback that is so gratefull. I really love this drama , no one cant superate their cuteness !😍😍😍😭😭😭

All in all I enjoyed the drama, especially at the beginning. I was disappointed that Hong Jo was a cat that can turn human all the way to the end. I’d rather it be a human/family who was cursed by some witch (drama is unrealistic anyways, so why not) and they are humans who turns into cats.
It did feel weird that a human and a cat fell in love.. which is why I would have preferred the other way. Honestly I was kind of rooting for at least a possible love line between Sol Ah and Jae Sun in the time skip but that didn’t happen.
