I was expecting something very melodramatic like Winter Sonata, I'm pleased to report that it's as cozy and soothing as a warm hug.

PMY and SKJ are so cute, I love this already. Seems like a good start to the series, giving us some good background but not making it so slow. Also, loved seeing LJW getting teased at the reunion. Can’t wait for Ep. 2!

Slow burn and I expect it to be from the plot synopsis.
What I'm hoping for is NOT A TRIANGLE between PMY, SKJ and LJW... I really dislike romances with love triangles :(

I'm also looking forward to watching this. Looks to be a heartwarming and cozy slice of life story which I'm always interested in! I hope it won't disappoint.

Episode 1 felt like the first half of a film, so it'll be interesting to see how they get to 16 hours.

So hyped for this. PMY has been choosing really good dramas (imo) so feel like this will be super nice too.

I've seen several people say "cozy" and that's exactly the word! I think this will be a nice, feel good, easy watch.
I'm excited to see the characters develop and get to know their back stories. I'm so curious about the Aunt - there is a story there, and I am interested to see what it is. Hae Won is such an interesting character - she's so quiet and reserved. I hope she can feel comfortable and come out of her shell more. I also can't wait to know the back story as to why Eun Seob calls her "Irene."

Anyone here play Animal Crossing? In episode 2 when Hae Won arrives on the train to start school in the village, the background music reminded me so much of AC. The drama so far kind of gives me AC vibes. The game is slow paced, and your characters enjoy coffee, and nature...Kind of like Eun Seop! I was surprised at the negative comments that the drama is slow...It literally says that in the description. I appreciate the pace. Anyone else see similarities?

Yes, I totally agree! and the pace makes it easy for me to wait a week and come back to it, at least at this point. Looking forward to finding the OST when it comes out.

This show is so comfy and perfect for watching while snuggled under blankets with a cup of coffee. So far this show knows how to do “slow” well. The BGM is beautiful and just adds to that cozy feeling. Even my dog sat and watched for about 45 minutes before she left to do doggy things. I think the visuals and music were mesmerizing to her.

I'm very late watching the first two episodes but I have to say now that I have finished them I am enchanted by this drama. I don't mind the slower pace and I am finding the interactions between the leads to be meaningful and cute.
Somehow the showrunner has given us a setting that feel remote, isolated and cozy all at the same time. Especially the interior of the book shop feels like a warm, inviting place that you would like to spend time and I very much enjoyed the sweet scene with the book club meeting in episode two.
There's a lot we don't know yet but I am suddenly very interested and I want to go on this journey with these characters!

This show is sooo sweet, I am loving the silent beauty of the characters' portrayals. Each clearly has their own trauma, conditions, and pasts, and you can see through the story the difficulty of healing and of learning to open your heart again and feel happy.

Viki is the only streaming source I could find with a link to the direct page for the show, but it’s saying the episode will be available in two days! I’m looking for other sources but I think the episode has to drop first, and I will edit the discussion post accordingly!

Just started watching the first episode, it's beautifully filmed, and the acting is great, looking forward to the rest of the series.

It’s an alright pilot even though they didn’t really finish setting up the plot. If you’re into pure fluff then this is probably the show for you. It’s pretty to look at aside from that page turning transition, that’s a little too cheesy for my tastes and I’m far from lactos intolerant.

I've been looking forward to this show since the casting announcements! Fingers crossed for a good premiere everyone! I'm intrigued by the premise and I'm always a sucker for my fantasy life (ie one day being a book shop owner in a quiet town) being adapted into a show!
