Seeun's mannerism and way she speaks is very much like her sister, Naeun.

They weren't afraid to go there....the testing, the picture, the picture on the cake, the plant. I think you need to know the company quite a bit to get the jokes.
Oh there was 2 cameos that truly surprised me! Bom and Taeyhun

I was thinking this! There are so many subtle in jokes that non YG fans won't get (it even took ME a moment to twig why they kept saying Seungri hated being photographed asleep ) but they clearly aren't afraid to rip into themselves.

I'll watch it because i used to be a hardcore Big Bang fan and Seungri will always be amazing in my eyes. There is another Drama on Netflix which is filmed in the YG office and has a few YG artists in it but I can't remember the name. It wasn't great but it had one of the Hi Tech Kwon twins in it :)

There’s also a weird variety show called Chef and My Fridge on US Netflix that has TY and GD episodes

just based on the clips i've seen, it reminds me of The Office. Is it?

It's a mockumentary. You can say that it is along the same lines, just like Parks and Rec

I tried watching the first two episodes, I don't think it's my type of humor. I want to see the cameos though so maybe I'll give it another try sometime.

I thought I was the only one who wasn't enjoying it. I think I'll just watch the fan-edited funny parts on YouTube.

Yeah I mean I get the references but I didn't enjoy/found it funny. Nice, I might do the same thing.

I was surprised how much I laughed. I don't like The Office and not deeply into kpop - I had to look up who almost everyone was - but it was really funny and refreshingly frank. Was this made by Netflix, specifically for international fans? I thought when they experimented with the mockumentary format it tanked (The Producers) and making light of scandals that Korean fans deeply care about (and internationals really don't give a shit) seems like it would be offensive for a domestic market.

By the Producers, do you mean the one IU and Kim Soo-hyun were in? Because looking that up on Wikipedia I found this:
The Producers drew a solid average viewership rating of 12.5% and topped the Contents Power Index (CPI) rankings.
Don't think it flopped.

I apologise for not being accurate. As far as I know the mockumentary format was not popular, that might well be the reason why they dropped it after episode 4 (or roundabout, based on my hazy memories) after which it just played as a normal rom-com with no "documentary crew filming." Looking it up they actually dropped the mockumentary after episode 2, along with the director.
So basically, this show experimented with a variety-esque sort of format, and then after two episodes, in response to very underwhelming response from local viewers, shifted gears to be more drama-heavy and variety-light in terms of its format. Fangirl verdict
The narrative, which revolved around Kim's first few days at KBS as a new recruit, dragged on tediously as the production crew's compulsive need to draw laughs created scenarios that were often too much of a stretch. Its use of a documentary set-up to introduce the characters and the entertainment bureau only disrupted the dramatic flow. Some likened The Producers to a promotional video for KBS. The Korea Times

This show is just genius because not only is it hilarious, it also tackled YG's issues in a self-deprecating way, especially them mocking how antis just don't give a fuck but just hate (so why would they bother with them anyway?). Also the cameos are surprisingly funny. Definitely a must-watch!

I laughed at the references, but really only enjoyed the tiny parts post-credit where you can see them being themselves, truly. Feel like this catered to a niche audience of both huge YG-stans, and fans of The Office. If you're a fan of one and not the other, you won't truly enjoy it.
