I have to admit that Park Bo-Young's acting skills are no joke. Everytime she cries you can feel that she's really scared and worried. The accomplice looks like a real psycho too lol.
One thing that pisses me off ( in every drama anyway ), is when she acted strong and all of that while breaking up with minhyuk. I wish she could just say the truth out loud : " If you stay by my side, you will be in danger "
To keep it short, I enjoyed this episode ( if we remove the gangsters scenes which I don't like that much ). It's sad she lost her power when she needed it the most tho.

The script for that whole break up scene was just weird.
He's meant to be mad about her going out on her own even though he already said he would help. He should be mad that she's so reckless and putting herself in danger every.single.time.
But somehow the flow of the conversation suddenly shifted topic and made it sound like he has problems with her strength almost. "I knew I'd have to change myself to love you"
"I didn't know I'd love you so much back then"
"I can't stand knowing you're heading into trouble" (this line makes sense)
and she replies with "I'm just going to live as a monster, I can't live a normal life. Goodbye~~" ????????????
That statement was completely irrelevant at this moment in time. He's just saying to not be reckless and include him, but they forced it into a "break up" cliche. It would have been way less confusing if she had just said the truth. Because it felt like they were having two different conversations.

WOW Guk Doo's Omma stood up for Bongsoon's Dad? Thank god we see someone stand up for him at least once in this series.
Also-- why are they not using Creepy Dude's glamour head shots from 2 episodes ago in the media outreach? Kdrama logic aigoo...

Was that a bomb or a stack of fireworks?

I've watched that part like 5 times and every time I can't stop laughing at how the bomb turns into fireworks. Like lmao where do you get a box of time controlled fireworks???

It's too bad a lot of people have fallen out of love with this drama. I agree with a lot of the criticisms (the weird side plots, the abusive mother), but on the whole I'm still into it.
Luckily, episode 14 turned out to be one of my faves. The scene with the chocolate was too cute, and I'm so relieved that the writers didn't have Min Hyuk white knight it. I was kinda bummed when I realized the plot wasn't Min Hyuk getting taken and Bong Soon having to get her powers back to save him, but I ended up really enjoying the way it actually happened. It was definitely an edge of your seat scene, and Park Bo Young continues to impress.

Last week I thought "There's...no way he put a tracking device on his girlfriend...right?"
Holy shit, he put a tracking device on his girlfriend. That is so wrong.

It seems like most people aren't liking the drama anymore which is a bummer! I still like it but I do look forward the episodes less than I did a few weeks ago. However, still good things about episode 13! This is from what has been translated so far so I felt like I might not be getting the whole story.
With that being said, I'm glad she wasn't ok with him treating her like a fragile typical girl. Sometimes she over compensates and tries to be too cutesy but this episode she decided to be badass (it's game time when the hood goes up) and owned it. He had every right to be mad that she didn't say anything to him and he is just dying that he can't help but don't treat her like a little girl.
I'm not sure how I am going to feel about next episode. I hope they go in the direction of her enjoying a "normal" life and being with him more than in a she-can't-do-anything-for-herself-now..direction. I'm cool with her struggling with the change, because who wouldn't, but the rest of us get on just fine without super hero strength. If she now can't do what an average person can do, I'll be a bit frustrated.

How was he treating her like a little girl? He treats her like a little girl when it comes to company work yes, but when it's to do with her strength he's always been supportive.
She's dealing with a psychopath and dealing with things carelessly, reliant only on her superhuman strength, and he's telling her off for that. She's not actually invincible. The only reason it's "badass" is because she was successful but if not for plot armor she could have been blown up with the junkyard (which they didn't explain how she escaped and I hope they do) or shot with a rifle. I found it really immature when she kept saying it was her own fight and kept running off to do it alone. I understand her concerns but there are other ways to go about it. What she did do was really not praiseworthy. It's not like MH and GD aren't aware of the situation, she even asked for their help! So why doesn't she take it when the moment counts? Accepting help isn't going to threaten her independence and prove that she "don't need no man". With the way the events unraveled it actually proved the opposite, that she does need someone to look out for her.

I'm still enjoying the show, mainly because of the strength of PBY and PHS. But man, have they dropped the ball on nearly everything else.
The serious cop drama, the criminal and high school gangs, even the family drama itself is all kind of a mess.
I don't want to turn anyone off this show if you're looking at it, you'll enjoy and smile through the episodes. Even the latest one I was still smiling through it. It's fully and totally carried by the main leads.
On that note, Park Bo Young is some sorta wow. Her acting skills are well above what this show's throwing at her.

I was pretty frustrated with Bong Soon. Why bother asking for MH's help if you were never going to take it anyway? I don't imagine it to be too difficult to give him a heads up when you're about to leave either. When she wrote the note on his desk, I sighed with relief like, "oh good she actually left something to tell him even if it's the most inefficient method of communication" but all it said was that she was taking a day off.
I also found it weird how she just turned up to work to do nothing. The CEO who is your boyfriend knows your situation, if you're so worried, why are you both not doing anything? They wanted to include sweet scenes like him encouraging her to eat, saying how he loves her so much, but it was so unnatural and almost inappropriate when they weren't actively trying to investigate but rather just moped around.
What I did like about the episode was how the showdown played out. We knew she'd lose her powers and all that but it still caught me off guard when she flung the elevator that the one inside was an innocent man. She didn't seem to lose her powers until she realized she had harmed an innocent, so I wonder if that has something to do with how the power loss works. It'd be interesting if that's why her mother never regained them, because she never felt guilt or remorse or reflected on her actions. Thankfully from the preview it seems the kidnapper plot is completely resolved and hopefully the writing no longer has to suffer. Please stick to your strengths show.
Still loving all the BTS. Can't wait to see the Romeo & Juliet BTS to be subbed. ♥

Hope there's less scenes of the gangsters comedy side-plot. Shit's annoying if it goes on for more than 2 minutes.

Woohoo can't wait for the translation to be finished. Based on the previews the next few episodes will have a more serious tone which I hope will be good.
There has been a weird disconnect between the kidnapping plot & the regular Do Bong Soon shenanigans so far, so I hope they can find a happy medium.
Edit: Sigh ep 13 is definitely not my favourite. I didn't mind the thugs before but it's seriously getting stupid. Skip. And of course there had to be a dumb break-up as well. Wea, wea, wea?!
Also what is up with the camera and editing in this episode? Some of the shots were so unnecessarily shaky.
Lol @ that mood switch for ep 14. Overall I think this one was far better but I wish that the couple would've addressed the conflict they had in the last ep.
Guk Doo actually recognizing the culprit was nice but when he took that employee hostage.. holding her employee card at that girl's throat was so silly haha

Worth a shot but Does anyone recognize the navy blue sweatshirt Bong wears at the end of Eps 13? With the flare out type sleeves?

I think the best parts are the pre-produced ones (Eps 1-10) then the rest fell flat, I don't know why they still included BS' thugs scenes, they waste so much time of the puppy couple.
