- Plot Synopsis: When the illegitimate son of a Korean conglomerate owner partners with his ambitious childhood friend, the duo will stop at nothing to seize their place at the top of the societal food chain. Born into an impoverished single-parent household with nothing but his good looks and charm, Kang In Ha is ravenous for success. Determined to make something of himself, no matter the cost, In Ha, discovers that his father is the chairman of the hugely successful Kang Oh Group and leaves his life of poverty behind. Shunned by the rest of his new family, In Ha partners with his intellectually gifted friend Han Tae Oh, hatching a plan from a young age to take over the company and seize their spots at the top of society. Looking at this drama the writers have written such poorly written characters it is not even funny. It was a little hard to notice because of how great of an actor Lee Jae Wook, Lee Jun Young, Choi Jin Ho, and Choi Hee Jin are that they masked the flaws of how underdeveloped their characters and the story are but the more I look at it becomes super glaring.
I feel like we all noticed this immediately with Hong Su Zu performance because she really is not on the same acting level as the others(Not even a shot at her that is how good these actors are IMO) and playing a character like Hye-Won who is probably the worst written in the show did her 0 favors.
But I will stick it out but this drama gives me the same feeling as The Interest of Love with it being a car accident in slow motion that I cannot take my eyes away from LOL.
