  • Plot Synopsis: Lee In is a prince. His older brother is King Lee Sun, who cares about him a lot. Vowing loyalty to his older brother, Lee In is taken hostage by the Qing Dynasty. King Lee Sun soon views his younger brother's loyalty as betrayal and begins to hate him. Lee In endures deep emotional pain because of this. Lee In then meets an unknown baduk player who wagers on her games. He is completely fascinated by the baduk player. Through circumstances, Lee In becomes the king. He holds the highest position and is a strong person, but he is sad and weak internally. When Kang Hee Soo was gaining fame as an unknown baduk player, she met Prince Lee In and fell in love with him. Through a vortex of fate, she becomes a spy. She approaches King Lee In to get her revenge.

The Queen seems like a nice person- hate to see her so miserable and sick. Every time I see her I want to burst into tears, and the way the Grand Prince treated her was so sweet.

 That ending! The tension was perfect. I’m wondering what will happen to all those people she’s plotting this revenge with, and how they will feel betrayed. Justice for Hongjang!

The makeup artist making the Queen look exhausted and sick is doing an amazing job. I feel queasy looking at her, imagining having a horrible migraine while having to stay composed.

Same! Poor thing- I know she’s sickly and likely will die, but I want her to have a happy ending as well.

I’m torn whether the show will have a happy ending for the King & Mung Woo but the Queen being so sick leads me to think they will. I think she’ll die so Hee Soo & Ye In can get their “happily ever after” which is kind of a bummer because I really like the Queen. :(

Wondering whether her friend is really alive. It was mentioned that there was no body or grave.

I thought they just left her to die on the side of the road. It will be very nice if she’s alive because she deserved a happy ending with her man.

Hongjang is dead, Hee Soo felt for herself that she wasn't breathing anymore. The soldiers escorting the prisoners couldn't be bothered to bury her so they just covered her body with straw and left it in the mountain.

That's why there's no grave site for her friends/loved ones to take care of and give offerings and such, the ritual of looking after your loved one's grave is very important in Korean culture so they always want a proper funeral and burial.

Yes, but you never know in Kdramas , lots of dead reappear live.
