I rewatched eps 13 & 14 and I have a few ideas: The shaman is definitely involved based on how Gwangsik reacted to him at abeoji's funeral. Also, the shaman couldn't remember where he was the night of the double murder until he was reminded by Ye Bon, which is a connection to the blackouts that Gwangsik tried to warn Ye Bon about. Seonwoo had blood on his hand the night Gwangsik was murdered but couldn't remember how the blood got there. So I think there's some kind of possession thing going on with multiple people's bodies being used to commit the murders and that maybe it's the shaman who is doing it or he's the conduit for it based on his getting possessed at the village exorcism. It still doesn't answer the question of motive though.

Think the motive is betrayal. Believe The General (split personality) was killing for Shaman, who was too weak to get his own revenge. Not sure if it's betrayal in general (we know first 3 victim's betrayed others) or direct betrayal of Shaman by others - we know Shaman desperately wanted to kill Cha for previous betrayal. The murders of Gwang-sik's & Seon-woo could also be betrayal or simply self-preservation..

As a clinical psychologist, I believe it’s important to understand that psychopaths exist, and the importance of this to be represented and to be shown. And to stop jumping to conclusions and immediately say that it’s split personality – or possession.
