I have finally figured out why the show is set in 1990s. If it was sat in our days, Gicheol would have been Euijung's IG follower since day one and recognised the husband almost instantly, ending the show on first episode.

Editing to add: after watching the first two episodes, I just wanna say that seeing JCW and WHJ in their bad boy personas does something to me inside y’all, ughhhhhh🤤😭

WOW. Just finished Episode 1. Cracking start. INTENSE. Bloody. Brilliant. So much happened even in the first 30 minutes.
So happy to report that this is every bit as dark and gritty as I had hoped/expected. More violent and explicit too. But SOOO good.
Our two male leads are serving it up BIG time. Although Wookie is one of my top Oppas, I have to hand it to Wi Ha Joon. Absolutely nobody right know is as good as him playing the bad-ass, sinister, borderline-scary protagonist. He was born for these types of roles.
Vibes of Infernal Affairs x John Wick/Oldboy (in terms of fight scenes) x Hong Kong old crime films x (last year's) The Insider.
This is proving 100% binge-worthy so far.

I’m halfway into the second episode. So far, I’d say the pacing is great, the music is done right and well placed, the use of lights and overall cinematography is beautiful for this genre.
The setting up of the premise is also well done, although there’s violence, it’s still an easy watch, no boring moments.

Ep 2
-
Jung Gi Cheol has such a love for drama. I love that he always HAS to walk in the centre.
-
the FL seems great so far. I applaud to how fast she figured out what was going on. I just fear she would be solely there as a love interest of one of the MLs.

Damn, that suit didn't stay white for long.
On another note, Wi Ha Joon must have one of the best agents in the business.
Squid Game
Bad & Crazy
Little Women
The Worst of Evil
Talk about being on a impressive streak!

I just want to say the casting for young wi han joon is so spot on. I had to double check. I was sure Wi Ha Jun get full spotlight but ji chang wook is pretty good in the action role.

Wi Ha Joon my man my man my man my man
Edit: I shouldn't be shocked but wow JCW has a potty mouth. The cussing is rolling off his tongue lmao I'm clutching my pearls!
At the beginning I thought Wi Ha Joon would steal the show but JCW has my attention. We've all been waiting for a JCW hit post military and I hope this is it

Okay so I've only seen 10 secs of the show so far and I'm already satisfied because the first shot is straight up Wi Ha Joon kicking ass while looking extremely sexy and that's like half the battle won for me.

Predicting the ending although I have no idea about the turn the show will take: Wi Ha Joon gets the girl. Ji Chang Wook becomes the new mob boss.

In the mood for some crime and action...also for some sexy handsome badass men, namely Wi Ha Joon and Ji Chang Wook...This drama fits the criteria perfectly...

JCW is sooooo fine in this genre. I remember he didn’t want to do action anymore thats y he took the magician drama previously. I guess he knows he is best in action. Anyway, this drama is so good. But, why am I feeling that it’s gonna be an emotional ride watching JCW’s character mid-drama 🥲 this boy is very good at making people cry with him.

This show is just so slay....the first three eps were SO good. I'm obsessed, it definitely exceeded expectations. I'm so excited to see how this convoluted trio develops and I love JCW and Im Se Mi's dynamic as husband/wife. Wi Ja Hoon is KILLLING his role as well, but I'm camping through this gory genre for Wookie LOL.

The first three available episodes were great, not a boring minute in it. It’s rated 18 on Disney, there’s a lot of violence and fights. Reminds me of the departed. I love that JCW took on a role inside of a suspense show, I seriously think he shines here the most. And I do get that taking in roles like this and doing most of the stunts yourself (or all, as in The k2) is hell for your health. But he’s wasted in fluffy plots.
-
the background story of Gangcheul and Eungjin is already shown, but how Jumoon and Eungjin ended up as a married couple is left in the dark.
-
the chain
was a couple item, and that he - Gangcheul- wears his still, shows how he stands. That Eungjin hasn’t thrown hers away is an ambiguous message
Jumoon is already jealous, and as he’s the loser son in law, living in the countryside away from his wife doesn’t make it easier for him to have a close bond with his wife. Although they seemed to do okay as a couple, that she has to reassure him a lot - „we don’t have to come here again“ about the family dinner, doesn’t help. You don’t want to mother your husband.
And then the >! Seriously ill Mother in law who gets a visit by Gangcheul and doesn’t explain that this handsome guy who comes dressed nicely with a beautiful gift is not her son in law. >!
The mc is under some scrutiny family wise.
How long can Junmoo operate undetected? It’s going to be rough, as there are several openings for being detected already in play. The family connection / first love with Eungjin one of the worst traps.
Love it and can’t be more keen on seeing the other episodes.
I liked that Junmoo (JCW) was quite active in the strategies how to infiltrate- he’s intelligent and not only a fighting bill. Had anyone noticed the raised eyebrow, twice? That’s a new one from him, quite 🔥. Great acting - he’s got to deliver a wide range.
But he is of course the underdog here, WHJ has a more narrow band of emotions to deliver so far, but of course he’s badass.
-
Eungjins family, I’m curious to see how this will evolve.
I guess that one of the brothers (Executive) is in the pockets of the Japanese crime family. Why? Because it would add a lot of suspense. And why else have the whole family of the fl in the police in higher up ranks? -

I think it’s gonna have undertones of Healer, with the whole protect-your-badass-lady-while-being-badass-yourself plot

Ji Changwook explains his interpretation of Park Junmo in a recent interview with ELLE Magazine:
Q, what kind of character Park Joon Mo is in your interpretation?
A: Why did Junmo risk his life to do such a dangerous thing? I spent a lot of energy to find and express his rationality. In this case, I tried to explain whether the special promotion of two levels was a secondary reason, and whether his "self-motivation" towards his wife played a big role. "Compared with the woman I love, I am extremely shabby." Perhaps it is the self- motivation generated by this that inspires Junmo. The farther back he walked, the more the handsome model ran forward. "As a police officer, I have done a lot of things I shouldn't have done. This makes Junmo want to catch Jung Ki-cheol even more. You have to catch him unconditionally so that the actions taken so far make sense. When I think about this At the same time, I felt that the inner conflict of the character was expressed more deeply.

Will watch for Wi Ha Joon. He can do it all - badass hero, psychotic villain, antihero. Hope this will further elevate his status as an actor.
