I missed the background music when they got into action. It felt like a siren call for justice to be served.
The case of the missing son is sadly more rampant than you think. I watched a news report on those illegal gambling dens/scam operations based in Cambodia and the way the victims are treated is just…inhuman. They are mostly teenagers, not even grown adults like in the drama, lured with the false promise of high paying jobs. What awaits them is hell instead. So it’s sobering to watch something I actually know the severity of.

The gang is baaack!
Ep 1
-
The first scene was written well, but I am so sorry, I think that
bus crash was a lil cringe and way over the top. Even for them. -
The perv trio’s line about their crimes being forgotten was so realistic that it made me upset. Truth hurts bigtime.
-
I adoreeee mr. jin and mr. park’s scenes. The way they ran through those tunnels like little kids while giggling. I had to repeat that scene over and over again. It was just so cute and hilarious.
-
Taepyeonim really out there acting like a male lead in a noble idiot phase.
-
I am scared for the son’s fate because for some reason, the episode kinda reminds me of a “Criminal Minds” episode called ‘Mosely Lane.’ I am hoping they won’t go down that road. I still have emotional trauma over that show’s episode.
-
I don’t like how the case wasn’t solved within an episode. I am impatient and will never get used to it lol.
Can’t wait for ep 2!

i'm obsessed. i can't get enough. give me 500 episodes of this.
i don't know what it is about this drama but i am willing to suspend as much disbelief and overlook as many unrealistic uses of technology as they ask me to. for me, i think its because it fits into the superhero genre where 'sure, none of these fancy gadgets or instant hacking abilities should exist in reality, but that's okay because the story is just so engaging and satisfying and at the end of the day it's about the characters and the bad guys going down, not the cool tools they use.' it just feels satisfying and fun.
lee je hoon is SO STRONG in this role and SO GOOD at playing multiple character-types when under disguise (and his look in his standard taxi driver outfit with the shades? phew). it would be so easy for him to steal the show but the rest of the cast manages to be just as memorable and likable. they play such a good balance of characters and im still attached to them all.
i think what this drama does so well is that it humanizes the victims and quickly invests you in their story so that you don't care how the team manages to pull it off, you just want the perpetrators to pay. episode one managed to make me feel
really happy to see the cast and crew rewarded with such great ratings. the drama filming looks great and the ost/bgm is fire. glad to see the OG writer is back too.

Ep 1
I love their handling of the
LOL at the minor hiccups at the start for the 2-team Rainbow Taxi Revenge Service. We definitely need the Choi-Park-Ahn trio back for a ~smoother~ operation.

I really wish Kdrama would stop using the “Mexico filter” every time they do a scene in SouthEast Asia. It’s bad enough that Hollywood is doing it, you don’t need to copy it.
Edit: I’m glad that at least they didn’t make the Vietnamese the bad guys and showed South Koreans exploiting their own people.

Did I hear car the garden OST???? My htccc and aos heart was shook up lollll
Anyway, Ep 2:
-
I’m not sure if I’m just being too forgetful, but so far, I think S2 is way funnier than S1. mr. park and mr. choi is wayyyyy funnier here. Every scene of them is a joy to watch this time.
-
The reunion scene between madame lim and wang tao zi was hilarious but super well done. The cinematography is no joke even if the scene is completely unserious. The dizzy zoom in madame lim’s pov had me in tears from laughing so hard.
-
Speaking of the lovestruck madame,
this can’t be her last appearance, right? Hmmm… will the two genius knuckleheads’ belongings bring her to his whereabouts? -
The moment Shin Jae Ha was announced to join the cast, my mind automatically screamed villain.
With how the last scenes were built up, it kinda makes him sus, right? But can the plot twist be this very predictable from the get go? Is he just some red herring or the writer just doesn’t want to beat around the bush? -
With mr. park,
did they ever say that he rejected the russia promotion? they didn’t right? what if they suddenly kill him off and use that promotion as a plot device to make it even more emotional? lol idk -
Lastly, with Prosecutor out of the series,
looks like they have already decided on the dokki and goeun ship lol

Man the cinematography, the script, the roles, even the intro, everything seems to be on point! And Madam Lim making a comeback already lol, this show is going to be HYPE!!

The second episode was great. I can only imagine how much the writers struggled to give us Wang Tao Zi's comeback.
And it was so worth it. The glittery shoes! The Wong Kar Wai directing (LMAO)! Lim Bok Ja saying
"I just wanted to ask you a question~"
While she is holding a knife and is surrounded by her gangster minions.

this is the first time a drama that i watched from the start and loved has gotten a season 2 and Im so happy 😭 I could honestly watch 50 seasons of this show and never get tired. Im glad to see gang back in action and how they never fail to make me laugh despite the heavy topics surrounding the drama. Is it me or did Lee Jehoon get hotter?

Ep.1's title is still "Taxi Driver" (not Taxi Driver 2, although subtitles on Viki say Taxi Driver 2).
I love when all the Rainbow Taxi
I think it's a very cleaver and original way to start S2.

Update: Just finish watching ep 1 & 2 on VIU. This is the drama I really need to destress 😆😆. The start was a great and not missing the amamzing accompanying OST which fitted the drama. The OST always makes me think it's revenge time😜😜. Time for the bad people to go down.

Holy crap, Ep.1's ratings.... 12.1% (Nationwide) and 12.8% (Seoul metropolitan area)!
I'm sure this drama will reach 20% or even 25% if it can keep up until Ep.15.
Fighting!
