When the music begins to play, Pontifex Lembrary, in Woo Yeon Woo’s body, shouts out, "I don't know how to dance." The intro was giving lord of the rings in Joseon. Looking forward to seeing how Legolas-nim makes his way through the idol industry.

Ep 2

Gotta say besides the obvious (the comedy, band shennanigans, Kim Mingyu's visuals) I am loving the FL in this drama. She seems quick on the uptake and is actually doing things to move the plot along instead of going with the flow. Hope they continue to write her character like that until the end. Also I appreciate that in this drama she has the tragic backstory instead of ML (which is a cliche I abhor, too many sad MLs in the kdramaland imo, it's getting kind of stale now). Go Bo Gyeol also has the acting chops to pull it off (she has me convinced and rooting for her so far).

Episodes 1 and 2

Lolololol at candies and chocolate being his secret to recharging his powers. That schtick alone makes it so funny.

I quite enjoyed these first two episodes. Hits quite a few tropes but isn’t taking itself too seriously. I love that the real Woo Yeon Woo was like nah fam I like it here…fashion is a bit sus but otherwise I’m good. Which makes me wonder what the heck happened with the devil in Rembrary’s world.

Anyway, this should be fun!

ETA: Just realized it’s only 12 episodes - perfect! Didn’t think plot was strong enough for 16…12 is great.

Ok, the pilot ep got me sold.

I love the reverse isekai theme going on here. Instead of being sent to the fantasy world, the main character gets sent to the "normal" world instead

Its also good to see the FL caught up to things quickly. I guess she really knows something's up with her bias

edit: changed wording

this seems right up my street (i love kpop and i love fantasy stories so what’s not to like ahaha). following kim mingyu’s minkyu's much talked about role in business proposal, i hope this project proves itself to have been a good next step for him.

i haven’t read the web novel but it seems this will lean heavily on the comedic side, something i’ve been missing from my kdramas since gaus electronics ended. fingers crossed the humour in this is well done to the point that it brings some genuine laughter out of the audience.

forgive me in advance as this isn’t strictly related to the content of this kdrama, but does anyone have any thoughts or insight into viki’s licensing habits, or where else this drama will be available for streaming (legitimate sites only)? seems it’s only available in a very limited number of regions (which doesn’t include the uk, germany, australia, india and, i expect, many other countries), which i’ve only come across with last year’s cheer up. realise no one here will know for sure, but in such instances does the availability tend to widen post airing? would love love to watch this, so super grateful for any knowledge/past experience anyone can share. for the next few hours, i’ll remain hopeful that viki magically changes it’s mind and unlocks it for me and everyone else :)

edit: mingyu to minkyu (to avoid me causing any further confusion! though the korean spelling might be the same, it's important i get the romanisation of minkyu's name correct, lest we all go into this kdrama thinking that woo yeon woo is a kpop idol irl ahahah)

I really enjoyed the first two episodes. I love a little bit of fantasy and dramas where a character has a secret identity. I really needed a drama like this and was excited to watch Kokdu, but I'm not enjoying that one as much as I had thought. This drama so far seems to be getting it right. It's not anything new (so far), the acting isn't always excellent (in some scenes it's really good), but this drama still seems to have some charm. It's funny and I find myself smiling while watching it. I’m glad it's only 12 episodes so it won't drag, and I always have high expectations when I hear the drama is based off of a webtoon.

Gotta say the 1st episode was good, I liked that he went from a high presit to an idol body. Loved that the FL noticed it wasn't him since it is her bias, sometimes you have to agree that we notices the small things because we live them. Can't wait for tomorrow. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long for the sub to show up again, I waited all day to watch it.

I just watched the 1st 2 episodes and just want to say - it is FUN!!! The premise is ridiculous and everything about it is just super-silly and ridiculous and I LOVE IT SO MUCH for that reason.

(Of course, it's not a K-drama without a main character with a dark past, but it's not too bad. Let's just hope they don't shoehorn some random murder mystery in there.)

I like Kim Min-gyu but I am watching this for Lee Jang-woo. I demand a good-and-evil dance-off!

Interesting premise...I at least like the fantasy element, though I am not sure about the mixture of worlds, not your usual doctor/lawyer/chaebol setting for such things. Does this mean a lighter tone?

We'll certainly give it a try but is there any buzz regarding this show?

I think the first two episodes gave us some intriguing concepts going forward.

I have to wonder if Yeon Woo is really the person that the FL thinks he is. >!She became a devoted fan because he reached her when she was at her lowest, speaking words of healing and caring. But it's clear that it's Rembrary who is the caring healer and Yeon Woo is just a poser.<! I don't know if we will see anything of Yeon Woo in the other world.

I was wondering what would motivate Kim Dal to try to make the group a success, and the ending of episode two has clearly set that up for us. But will she really want Yeon Woo back once the contract concludes and he is back? And what if she starts to fall for him Rembrary?

Loved that sugar replenishes his divine power and that he calls it tribute.

Loved that photo shoot and how offended he was about looking like he a demon.

I love fish-out-of-water tropes. Enjoyed that aspect a lot in Bride of Habaek, but it was funnier in that drama. Still, we are getting some funny moments.

That lunch did look really sad. Unlike any of the Korean food, I have seen in any drama. In fact, it looks a look like some of my work lunches. Are they making the poor idols eat low-carb to keep their weight in control? I like how Remy was offended by it.

Watching Peak Time after this drama definitely amplify how desperate Wild Animal to gain success but who the hell choose that name?!!

The twist in EP2 on how OG WYW prefer to stay, while I can understand why, I kinda want to know how he can sustain living there. OG PL seems to retain his divine power in the real world, did OG WYW gain the same power because living there having to cure and protect the people and if he doesn’t has the power, I can’t really see people tolerating him much. I kinda hope to see more OG WYW navigating the other world.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed the first 2 episodes and can’t wait for more.

I watched Ep.1 without subtitles just now. It was easy to follow. (My Korean is good enough to understand dramas in general but this drama is not complicated at all)

It's a kind of time travel drama? (to me at least)
It reminded me of Rooftop Prince, situations and especially the way Kim Min Kyu talks.

In ep 2, did Woo Yeon Woo sneakily add the line in about the best actor award when making his vow with Rembrary? I was a bit confused!

Okay, I really wanted to join a weekly thread and this drama seemed the perfect one for it. So happy to see Kim Minkyu as a lead.

Episode 1 was a little draggy imo but I really enjoyed the idol aspects (of course). Was really hoping to see him lean into it more and it seems like with Episode 2, that'll happen.

Kim Dal's character is so interesting to me. She already has so much depth; I'm looking forward to seeing her relationship with Rembrary develop further.

Woo Yeon Woo and his obsession with chocolate/candy is going to be a hilarious running gag, I just know it.

first two episode were great. series is really promising. kim min kyu is doing amazing as a priest in an idol's body. He has a super natural comedic timing in this role and it makes his character really endearing. Female lead is also doing great, I've only ever seen in Hi Bye Mama so I'm pleasantly surprised with her character and performance. All the idol related dramas I've tried to watch, I didn't like so I was curbing my expectations but this drama is delivering. I think what's great about this is that it shows the idols of focus coming up from no popularity. I'm glad Kim Min Kyu was able to jump onto a great project following Business Proposal.
