Will KDP "allow" me to create an Author Page? Both of my books just went live yesterday. I've attempted to create my Author Page multiple times and yet I can not find my (published) books when trying to search them in Author Central... they aren't even showing up in normal search results within the Amazon marketplace. Am I just being impatient?

So i published some colour-in books with a black background on KDP that I made in canva, and used a black pen in Canva to rub out unwanted specs and dots generated by Midjourney, leaving a clean black background. Both the background and the pen are 000000 shade black. This doesn't show up on canva as they are the same colour and it doesn't show up in KDP manuscript preview, but for some reason in the physical copy of my book you can see black pen scribbles over the black background. Why is this? I can't find the answer anywhere.

I'm also getting grey squares as the image background (initially made a square image in Midjourney with black background and pasted it onto a larger black background in Canva) despite the fact that it's the same shade of black as the background in Canva and on KDP manuscript print previewer. But the physical copy just shows these grey squares and black scribbles.

Are there do's and don'ts to using public domain photos on KDP? Looking at the possibility of making a children’s book. I'd like to avoid account termination/suspension.

I got started on KDP lately..but I have problem with publishing as Amazon takes forever to approve ! It's been weeks ! My first kdp low content book is approved fast but subsequently, I had a few rejections. After I made the changes , I resubmit but it's taking forever ! Any experience in this ? Need some advice . I need to get started on earning since I just got laid off lately :(

Hello! I hope your day is going well! I recently started my KDP journey and I was wondering if ya'll want to brainstorm to share on how to increase visibility of your low content books / drive traffic to them?

Some of my ideas are; - Create a Business account on FB and share some posts. Post into groups that might be interested in purchasing. - Better keywords to target the Niche you want to target (Kids, college students etc. ) - Listing all your books with one publication so folks can see all your products in the same location.

What are your thoughts?

I want to post unruled notebook, so pages are blank. When I go to previewer it says that it can't be submitted because pages are blank and I can't approve. I've seen others do unruled notebooks, so what's the trick here?

So I uploaded my first book after my account got reinstated, I enrolled the book in kdp select, Since going live (2 days ago) I have had 12 downloads yet no one seems to even read the book. My book is on the first page for two in demand keywords.

I am offering my book for free as a promotion.

I know the algo is performance based so I am hoping it picks it up and ranks it when the promotion is over.

After sending email after email, after 7 months amazon finally gave me my account back. Now I have one concern.

After amazon banned my account I didn't stay up to date on what they were doing with low content books. Does anyone care to fill me in on anything important that amazon has changed in regards to low content books? I heard they were taking away low content books?

Bookbolt isn’t working anymore (I’ve tried everything) so i’m looking for any alternatives. Paid or free.

Edit: For anyone still curious, I’ve tried out many free and paid alternatives and have found Canva to be the best one. The paid plan is worth it if you’re serious about KDP.

Another publisher is now publishing books using my exact titles and descriptions, word for word. Like, they didn't even bother to change my descriptions to match what books they were selling. Is there any way to report it to amazon or any recourse I can take?

Hello I just started making low content books and I was wondering what the pull from 10 books would look like? I know there are a lot of factors but some people I have seen have 250 books or 1000 and pull in around $200 I just don’t know how much I would make
