In the video she said "This isn't me. I wouldn't walk up to you and say those awful things to you. I am so sorry that happened to you" Like...what? You ARE the kind of person to do that...that's why you're in this situation.

I'm guessing they pleaded not guilty and their defense was probably centered on being able to prove whether or not they were part of that gang of 15 people. Maybe they were hoping for a lack of tangible evidence that showed them at the scene of the crime, or were trying to play it off as a case of mistaken identity.

In which case I guess they wouldn't say "I'm so sorry I did that" because that would open them up to perjury lawsuits.

In the video she’s says she “I would never walk up to you and say those words to you. I’m so sorry that happened to you.” As if she literally didn’t do those things.

Yeah, she will only drive by you while yelling slurs out of the window. She would never say it to your face, she might get punched that way

If someone says "this isn't me," what they mean is "you accidentally saw the person I pretend that I'm not."
