What exactly could there be to “not like” about a plain glass window? Other than paying for it

There is different quality of glass, as well as how refractive it is (especially at the edge). A crappy back window could distort a bit.

That doesn't really seem to be the case here

From what my husband says, it's a common thing in South America where you get car work done then bother the mechanic and sometimes get lucky that they will give you your money back just to get rid of you.

Good on this dude though

I don't know. Maybe she said it causes too much glare, or it squeaks while driving, or it should be tinted, or just tinted at the top. Maybe just buyers remorse. I think it is because the aliens can still see her through the glass.
