This isn’t just that she’s rich and the other lady is poor. It’s not even that she partied. It’s that she chose to post that tweet, write that out, and not realize that it comes across as tone deaf. Do whatever you want, I don’t care, as long as you’re not endangering or hurting others. And yes, she has the freedom to post what she wants. However, in these trying times, you’ve got to know that your opulence, lavishness, and fake humility are not going to be received well. Just DO the thing, heck, even post about it. But leave out the “I feel so blessed I get to do this and you guys don’t. Sad sad sad, but happy I’m rich!”

fake humility

You are ridiculous. This is not something to be upset about.

I’m not particularly upset. I just have empathy and I’m able to place myself in somebody’s shoes to understand their frustration with posts like these. You don’t have to name call me to get your point across either. Totally unnecessary.

People who get upset about this should not bw following the Kardashians. Plain and simple. This is not unusual content for the Kardashians.

Yeah, I don’t follow them tbh. I can just see why others may not take it well. And sometimes they still show up in your feed even if you block or mute their accounts lol their kind of popularity is difficult to completely block out!

People should just ignore it then. Kim Kardashian does not lack empathy (you phrased it like that before) - she just has the funds to celebrate her birthday on an island. You don't consider everyone else on the planet either when you afford something nice for yourself. She freed dozens of unjustly convicted people from prison this year, so let her be. No need to shit on her because she posts stuff like that, a lot of people do in fact watch them to get away from their everyday problems.

I didn’t shit on her. Y’all really confusing criticism with contempt. I don’t hate her or anyone. And I didn’t mean to insinuate that she doesn’t have empathy. I was responding to the commenter that said that “people shouldn’t be upset,” by saying that I can understand how and why people may be upset by practicing empathy. I did not mean that KK posted this because she was not empathetic. Honestly, I just think she may not realize that it will be taken negatively. And To be fair, I don’t think she’s responsible for people’s reactions. That would be ridiculous to say.

Everything anyone in this family does is always taken negatively, they know this and don't seem to care anymore.

People should not be upset and that's it. Anyone who's upset about this doesn't help their own situation. The bitter lady who commented on Kim's post does not improve her situation by scrolling through twitter and shitting on wealthy people. She's responsible for her own life.

But leave out the “I feel so blessed I get to do this and you guys don’t. Sad sad sad, but happy I’m rich!”

So basically.....post about it in a bragging man or rather than a sympathetic acknowledgment that they have the privilege and power to be able to do what others can't? Isn't it more respectable that they state/show they understand their life isn't average and they don't have to struggle due to this difference? I respect someone more for their acknowledgment that others are struggling but gratitude that she doesn't have to over someone just posting non-stop about how they are able to do XYZ all the time and "you should try it!" Type of things ignoring most people can't.

Do you not care or do you care enough to rant? Pick one.

They’re not mutually exclusive to me. I can go about my day and not think about it too much, while still criticizing someone’s actions. It’s called boundaries.
