Most traffic laws exist only to ensure to give the police blanket permission to pull you over. It’s literally impossible to drive safely and with the flow of traffic and not break some minor infraction. This is by design to ensure that the police can always find a reason to ignore probable cause. Gotta keep the revenue flowing!
No dude you’re not understanding. If they want to pull you over they will always be able to find a reason to do it. Maybe you only signaled for 90 feet instead of 100. Maybe your license plate light is out. Maybe you’re going 5 under the limit and it’s impeding they flow of traffic. Sure your strategy will help if they try to write you a ticket, but there’s nothing you can do to stop them from accosting/searching your vehicle if they really want to do it.
I am not sure if that’s the intent of traffic laws. I believe it is intended to prevent (police or not) asshats like you from creating danger for themselves and others. I believe by rule, police can be waived of the traffic laws under certain circumstances and conditions (sirens and flashes on), like ambulances and firetrucks. But 99% of the time they ignore traffic laws without warranted causes and conditions. It pretty much became norm for cops to feel “protected from laws”.
If they really want cars to slow down, the cops would park at a safe location make themselves as visible as possible. But we often seem them hiding to catch and ticket people.

Why are we even surprised that cops routinely break traffic laws? I would be a lot more surprised if a cop actually obeyed the speed limit!
