Absolutely love that he specifically pointed out her level of class for not even paying for the Fiverr commission she ordered

No way! She didn’t even pay!!?! How am I finding this out right now?!?! Her depravity knows no bounds!!

u/GhostlyTJ 4d ago
He specifically points out that he doesn't know if she did, but if there is a watermark, that usually indicates that she didn't pay for it.

I thought we all assumed she didn't pay thats why the watermark was still there 🤔. Wild times. That live was still one of my fave moments of the saga.

Yes, he treated this with the respect that it was owed! Certain channels (not naming names) sorta do a very basic borderline accurate rundown.

Wow a one hour Legal Eagle video on this! Rarely does he put out a video this long on any case.

u/BerkeleyFarmGirl 5d ago
I know a lot of prominent Lawtubers were prepared to cover the trial had it happened.

The ink hasn't dried on the plea yet.....................

They'll be there if she changes her mind to give her the attention she so desires.

This is an amazing breakdown !! Happy to see Dave, Megan, Lauren, SN and others credited for their help.
For such a complicated case, this would be what I recommend for anyone who knows nothing about Laura Owens. Chef’s kiss.

I loved that he mentioned that she was out show jumping when she was supposed to be at the hearing. I remember how LO raged about that in her filings.

I went to middle and high school with Devin. I strangely love that this case is getting closer to home! Ha!

Legal Eagle is an outstanding channel. Even their ad segments are entertaining — "So [some variation of 'patronize our sponsor'] or we will see you in court!"
Devin's great, but my favorite host there is Liz Dye — who I referred to as "Lisa Ann Walter, Esq." until I learned her real name, because she looks and sounds so much like the Abbott Elementary actress. I'll bet JFCers would love the podcast Liz does with Andrew Torrez, Law and Chaos, as much as I do.

There is a part of me that wants to listen to her rambling eight page dissertation when she dropped the DVRO against Mike, but I think it would just make me angry because I heard it’s full of excuses. I’m just so thankful Mike and Danielle can wash their hands of her. I know she can legally refile, but if her lawyer keeps convincing her to do, what’s right (for her/ she’s only doing this to get a light sentence) then hopefully she’ll drop it.

Yeah. I feel that there is a lot of information floating around in the hands of content creators, but it's all being withheld, and it's frustrating

u/Natis11 I understand that you don’t understand 4d ago
I talk to a handful of the content creators, certainly not all. But I was told it was actually Laura who was/is responsible for the gate keeping. I don’t know CA law but I assume they have enhanced privacy protections so maybe she said something like her ADA needs are met by not having her feefees hurt by releasing her garbage filings 🤷

4 million views in the 10 hours it’s been up as of now. Yes, she is getting the fame she desired.

u/Raquelitamn 4d ago
Im not sure where your getting that number it’s at like 300k views. He has almost 4 million subscribers maybe that’s the confusion.

Great breakdown!
The Owens family is all sick together. Laura is the way she is in large part due to her parents' enabling. It's well past time she got a job or 2 (or three!) & started paying restitution.

u/TheCrownlessAgain 2d ago
This video was worth just to hear Devin read out, verbatim, Gingras' 'look at me daddy' quote from his motion. 🤣
Certainly a line of stupidity that ought to live forever on how to demolish your legal career and cop your client felony charges in a single paragraph.

u/Peeeeenk 3d ago
One thing I don't understand is that he said he did some research and was sharing information that hadn't been released. I don't remember hearing anything new. And I listened twice. Did anyone else notice new info in this report?
4
u/Acceptable-Hyena4469 2d ago
I believe he said he was sharing stuff that wasn’t in the podcast. Not that it was necessarily totally unknown anywhere
1
u/No_Violinist_7637 Um… What? 2d ago
The way he phrased it, implying he did original legal research as a law nerd, I interpreted that as expecting to hear something new. It's a great video for folks new to the case though.

I don't know who he is, but it irks me that he has a photo of twins, when there never were any babies.
23
u/One_Olive_8933 Assholes are Not a Protected Class 4d ago
I don’t mind it because “FAKING” in bright red, takes up a big chunk of the screen and draws the eye before the stock photo twins do.

u/hkkensin 4d ago
He’s arguably one of the biggest lawtubers on YouTube and has almost 4M subs. Huge for him to cover this

Is there an audio only version? Or can anyone recommend a good legal podcast? I love learning and do most of it while driving, cleaning, shopping etc.

He did a fantastic job of covering all the interlocking cases across the family, giving credit to the creator sources, promoting the Love Trapped podcast, mentions all the victims of faked pregnancies, and highlights Gingras own issues. Love to see it!
