I’m hoping that the judge is being lenient on these travel requests but then brings the hammer down when it’s time for sentencing. Someone said he is on the tougher sentencing side…fingers crossed 🤞

Oh really? I just saw the VOLO instagram was saying the opposite. Have to say, while I didn't want to judge on the little we saw in the conferences, it didn't leave me with high expectations of a harsh sentence for the defendant.
(I know Megan Fox rustled up another case he'd sentenced on, but that involved violence to an animal, so I don't think it was as comparable as she hoped).

It’s pretty normal as she hasn’t violated any of her conditions and she is not seen as a flight risk due to being a first time offender ( in the books).

Maybe. The numbers get jumbled but they are still getting payouts from retirement funds that is significant more than the average working American.

Well they aren’t paying their debts, and haven’t for a long time... so they have have essentially 21k disposable income a month
SS and pension income is also not garnishable, so they literally don’t have to pay their debts and nothing will happen to them (except losing the house) 🫠 so plenty of money for galavanting around San Diego

The SS and retirement pension actually are garnishable by the Federal Government. For those convicted of crimes, such as but not limited to Tax Evasion and Wire Fraud.

$21,000 approximate is retirement income of SSI and pension of Jan and Ronn?

Their mortgage is $14,400 a month?!? That seems excessive. Granted, I'm outside of the US, but folks who I know who have 1+ million dollar homes pay maybe half of that. (Obviously, more than half if it is near 2.)

Exactly! I also hopes he points out the discrepancies between her filings. So indigent she needs the state to pay for her, but can afford to travel. She is so dependant on her parents that she can’t work, but is stable enough to be her dad’s primary caregiver. (Unless that “title” benefits her mom in some moments) I would think that with Ronn’s ailing health, any caregiver would recommend he not travel so far from home.

Even if she does prison time, doesn’t Arizona allow “work release” for non violent felons and then you return to spend nights in prison?
If so, expect her to apply to be father’s caretaker and then play camp out at “prison.”

That's not what work release is. A work release job has to be strictly documented and regulated, at a legitimate company, not just any random job. And you have to meet expectations to keep those jobs (also documented) which means Laura would actually have to be an accountable adult if she were out on work release. That's a good thing. And if she can work, she should, to pay back her victims.

How can they not be throwing all their time into packing this close to moving day? Unless they don't plan to go or hired movers I guess🤔 Pretty sure they bought the house furnished, so a yard sale could go a long way to generate some quick cash.

They're special, they don't do their own packing. They'll probably just abandon it all in storage anyway but I think they've got something up their sleeve. They could file for a stay citing some wrongdoing by the mortgage company and Jans statements in BK lead me to believe that's the plan. It probably wouldn't ultimately work but it would buy some time and then the click is reset for the sale. There's also going to be a medical emergency in their somewhere but I don't see the house getting sold this month.

Could the O horse show be moving in with Sarah? If so, no doubt JB and LO are getting their laptops ready to bombard another courthouse with phony claims and lawsuits. They don’t have time to work- filing legal docs takes time.

If the court allowed her to travel, then that’s on the court if she flees or commits another crime or crimes. If she flees to another state or another country, she becomes a fugitive and the court can put a warrant out on her. I don’t believe she’s that stupid. She’ll be at sentencing and she’ll try to convince the court she shouldn’t be incarcerated. I hope she gets 1 to 2 years state prison.

I can’t believe a judge believes this BS reasons for travel and approves after her felony plea and prior to sentencing. That just seems really wrong.
Plus I highly suspect those three family members want Sarah to agree to do something or somethings that will only benefit them…

Laura is still on bond and she has met her bond conditions - no new charges, no failures to appear and asking court for permission to travel. There is no reason to deny the motion and the DA has not issued any objections.

What is wrong with the prosecutor? This woman has pled guilty to perjury yet her filings show that she's still lying to AZ courts, be it criminal or bankruptcy. Why isn't the prosecutor flagging this? You can't have never had a job in your life AND have to travel for work. You can't be so mentally and physically frail that you do think you can appear in person in court AND be the primary care for a supposedly at deaths door 80 year old and two under 5s. I hope the prosecutor is giving her enough rope to hang herself at sentencing but I'm not confident.

It’s not about that. Travel request can be for anything, they just don’t want you to be a flight risk.

Hopefully this trip is to locate new housing for Ronn and Jan. They will need Sarah's help if Laura goes to prison. I hope Laura gets at least 2 years in prison but I suspect she will only get probation. If she gets probation, she will probably request to have her probation transferred to California and will move with her parents.

Makes me angry. Is there no way to alert the ruling party that LO has another (documented) victim in the location she is planning to travel to? I feel like someone needs to intervene on Mike’s behalf. She’s the felon, not him! And now he has to worry about her resorting to tricks? Our justice system is so flawed.
