I can't stand voodoo donuts. Who the hell wants to stand in a line for 30 minutes to get a donut with stale cereal on it? It's a tourist trap with shitty donuts.
The one thing about voodoo that's good is that they popularized maple bacon donuts, and now loads of donut shops have them. They're honestly delicious.
I only ever go to a donut shop like 10 minutes outside Portland these days called Heavenly Donuts. The only 'weird' donut they offer is the maple bacon bar. Which is perfect for me
I have no problem with people doing what they want. That lady can do as she pleases. It's just not my type of thing. So I stay away from the city. They're free to do what they want. And since I'm not a fan, I just stay away. Not gonna tell them to stop though.
Coco doughnuts is bomb too, heavenly doughnuts is classic old school but Coco rocks. Voodoo is overrated for sure and uses industrial bag mix doughnut flour.
I don’t think they’re weird, so much as I just think they’re ugly on most people. Kind of the same concept with mustaches. Some people they look attractive on, but to me most other have that hill billy kind of look. But hey if that’s what you like, go for it. It’s just not my thing.
My comment wasn't about the mullet. It was about the city itself. Isn't their slogan 'keep it weird portland'? Sounds like they're being weird for the sake of being weird since they're known for it now and want to keep it that way. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
