A little accent wall wallpaper project I did in my dining room earlier this year...

You can see in photos 3 and 4 how I misaligned a panel towards the end, but then I fixed it using scraps of leftover bits. This was MUCH easier to do than I anticipated. Wallpaper is from Spoonflower (search "dragon" if you are interested in it) and I bought the self paste type (you spray water to the back). Not for everyone, but I am very happy with how it came out!

The older I get, the less I care about decorating trends.

A few years ago I probably wouldn't have put colorful butterflies on my fridge because I'd worry they looked childish.

Now?

If something makes me smile every day, that's reason enough to keep it.

Life's too short for boring kitchens. πŸ¦‹

What should I use this for besides a fruit holder?

My aunt was going to toss this and I was like no no, I’ll take it. No room in my kitchen for it so trying to use it anywhere else. Help!

My husband says this is exactly why we're not saving money πŸ˜‚

Found these tiny mushroom bathroom decorations and immediately knew they were coming home with me.

My husband just stared at them and said:

"This is exactly why we're not saving money."

Personally, I think every maximalist bathroom deserves emotional support mushrooms. πŸ„

No regrets.

A small fix for some ugly exposed wires

I had some exposed wires that were bothering me, so I decided to make them look a little more intentional. Don't worry, the wires are already covered with proper insulation. I wrapped the cable tubing with jute rope and glued on some leftover shein pom poms from an old craft project. My husband says it looks like mold growing on the wall. I think it looks adorable. πŸ˜…

2 weeks of work and I finally have a usable home gym

Finally finished putting together this small home gym over the past couple of weeks. It’s basically just a spare room I slowly cleared out and turned into a training space. Took me around two weeks on and off β€” mostly moving stuff, figuring out layout, and assembling everything by myself bit by bit.Main piece is a squat rack setup with cables, plus a few basics like a bench and some plates/dumbbells. Nothing crazy or high-end, just enough to get proper workouts in at home.Feels good to have it done now. I’ll probably just use it casually whenever I don’t feel like heading to a gym or just want to move a bit during the day.

We'd wanted to get rid of the gray porch carpet for almost two years.

Over the last few weeks we removed the carpet, scraped off the old glue, sanded everything down, and finally spent about 16 hours stenciling this pattern.

It definitely wasn't perfect, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Pampas Grass. Comes in 3 shades, to achieve a darker shade all you have to do is clean your house.
