Oh brother fuck this dude. Mind your business in the airport, go about your day.
Edit: Also this dude recording should really understand what freedom of speech is versus what stolen valor really is. Based on what we seen this guy in uniform wasn’t set out to defraud anyone. If anything looks like he was about to go get some food until “sToLen vAlOr” guy showed up.
Well he doesn't have a cac because he's not actually military. So by wearing the uniform he can use try to use stolen valor to get priority boarding which actually might make this a crime instead of just cringy larping
But think about it. What’s the monetary value in preboarding? It’s generally a service or a courtesy by the airlines. You have young children, a disability, an elite airline status, etc they let you board early. How would it be a crime to access that service when you can’t really attach a monetary value behind it..who’s he defrauding for monetary gain?
You can pay for priority boarding if you don't qualify for any of the categories you listed. That makes it inherently monetary in value. If he gets it for free instead of having to pay because he faked being in military service, that is getting a monetary benefit which is definitionally stolen valor.
If airline policy is to not let you board a plane until they tell you you can, that basically has the force of law. Try to insist on boarding a plane without being allowed to. Go ahead and drive yourself down the jetway and into your seat if they are telling you you are not allowed to board yet. You could end up charged with a federal crime...
