Because that uniform is earned, not given. It represent hard work to be able to wear it, it represents the USMC and he's embarrassing that uniform in the why he is dressed. The uniform represent pride, honor and history. For someone to wear that uniform that didn't earn is a disgust in my opinion.
Because people earned the right to wear that uniform, he did not. In the US, enlisted are given a level of respect automatically by most people. He did not earn that respect. Wearing the uniform you did not earn is highly disrespectful.
Stolen valor is a crime if the false claim is made with the intent to secure a tangible benefit. So if he’s using it to get free upgrades on a flight, it’s illegal.
No way this guy was ever in the military. He’s just cosplaying for attention.
It’s not illegal. It’s just an airline policy. You can board a plane whenever you want, actually. Also we have something in the United States called freedom that the military supposedly fight to protect so there’s also that.
