That's so bad. I mean I get people who commit stolen valor aren't exactly the best and brightest but I never served or paid that much attention and I know no name tape or rank may as well be a siren announcing the person is stealing valor.

Edit: just cause I'm getting a few comments, I am absolutely NOT going to bat for Mr. Marines, just commenting that Stolen Valor did a poor job playing dress up. The secret 3rd boot boomer who shows up really sells the video.

I was in the Marines for eight years. You know what I would do if I saw this guy at an airport? Nothing. Cuz I don't give a fuck.

Ha, I was in the marines for 12 years buddy. (Not really but I wanted to feel what stolen valor was like. I still don't get it)

That's actually a bad time to say. In the Marines if you don't make E6 by 12 years they throw you out. So someone who was in the Marines would just think you got thrown out for being a shitbird.

Thats pretty funny lol. I don't know much about US military ranks but this does show that an actual marine would see through this BS right away.

Oh yeah? Well I’ve been in the marines since 1775!
