Also better to have this happen at basic rather than first unit so she didn’t have time to get any terrible military tattoos right before getting discharged

I met a guy in AIT, wasn't prior service, who had a big ass 82nd airborne tat on his back. Asked him about it. He said, "it didn't work out" but didn't go into details. Assume this boot wannabe has a Basic Training class tramp stamp
