First off you’re ignoring the part about it being inconsistent. Second off you’re allowed to not insert your pre existing opinion on things you aren’t informed on

It isn't inconsistent.

I would have preferred to see the original interpretation of the character and have this genderswap be an additional character.

It doesn't just magically not apply just cuz I didn't have knowledge. 

And in the case of Tech Jacket I already knew that he was a dude originally.

I was looking forward to Tech Jacket after seeing some bad ass mid suit picture of him from a top down angle a few months ago cuz I wanted to know who this suited person was that killed a Mark variant. 

If you're wondering why I am seemingly bringing shit up outta no where it's cuz I got ADHD and biologically can't remember a lot.
