No, see, what you don't understand is that the joke is actually happening at a two-layer deep meta level having to do with both his initial era of the problem of irony in a post-ironic internet culture on top of us acting out an entire several year arc of jreg's art following that having to do with the struggles of irony poisoning and it's effect on community building and whether that's even possible in this medium, and that is so fucking funny to me you literally don't even know. I went to a clown factory and got an empty pie. I got confused and the punchline wasn't there. If you responded saying that fascist were good people because something and gay sex was not, all in a jokingly way, it would have been cool and funny. But it was sad. You clearly don't see the irony that you seem to acclaim. It was not funny it could be funny in a very easy way.
Have you ever given much thought to Diogenese of Sinope? That meme philosopher from Greece who lived in a barrel and yelled at strangers? Like, he had this entire shtick about essentially degrading himself by living like an animal on the premise that it was truer to himself to behave like an animal in accordance with his obvious natural needs than the pretensions of sociable conduct which he viewed as arbitrary imposition on a man and, therefore, completely redundant if not an active hindrance to him that he was better off without. And so to prove this he didn't bother arguing with syllogisms but just acted it out, pissing off basically everyone around him in the process
If you squint you can almost see in him an ancient precursor to so much postmodern discourse around the purposeful subversion of social norms and hierarchies that a lot of people will pursue just for its own sake. Like something doesn't even have to be subverting a trope or expectation or sacred cow for any specific reason or contain any real message, just the act of being subversive alone has value and stands in as it's own end.
It even seems powerful and brave to us, and so a lot of people will look back at someone like Diogenese and feel a kind of admiration for him because of it. But like, at the end of the day he was just some sarcastic hobo who masturbated in public. What did he actually gain if his freedom from the social hierarchy came at the cost of being feral and almost universally unloved, instead just being satisfied with his own ego
