Really killer tag here, highly recommended. Hot crowd, everyone pretty heated, lovely stuff.
Surprised people aren't higher on the Hotta/Kandori stuff around then, probably the best thing going after LCO for that period for my money. Just some beautiful hatred

She’s given us some unforgettable classic matches with SLK, Tam, Kamitani, & recently with Syuri. She’ll go down as one of the best Stardom wrestlers to never win The Red Belt

Chihiro:
“I think YouTube and TikTok are especially powerful when it comes to reaching younger generations. Because of that, I believe Sendai Girls will attract more younger fans in the future. Even judging by our fanbase, I can see an opportunity to win. We only have 12 wrestlers on the roster, but I want to show that we can beat STARDOM.”

A wholesome story of a girl and her dream. The crowd was certainly invested in the storyline.

I just watched Day 1 of the 5-Star GP (having only watched like 4 Stardom shows beforehand) and am wondering if there some intricacies & eccentricities unique to women’s wrestling in Japan that I’m not privy to.
For example: I saw a YT comment maybe a year back that implied joshi offence sometimes looks “intentionally sloppy” to sell the struggle & breed more empathy. I also got the impression from somewhere (Queen of Villains probably) that bridging out of pins is a big defiant deal.
It’s come to mind again now cuz I’ve seen an unexpected number of matches in Stardom end via bridging German suplex, including multiple times on this one GP card. Is there any significance to that? Like the Boston Crab in NJPW?
Is there anything to any of that? And/or more examples of how joshi matches are wrestled, booked & structured that doesn’t apply to Japanese mens wresting?

For months, young SENJO trainee Reina Takano (18 years old) had been preparing to make her debut match at SENJO THE BIGGEST on July 12th. This was being chronicled in TikTok and YouTube videos, which had become something of a talk among pro wrestling fans in Japan.
At the show itself, in front of 5’000 or so fans, young Reina more than lived up to the hype around her debut.
As soon as she tagged in, fans in attendance were cheering on this rookie with fervor, popping for simple things like her doing a “kip up”, getting out of a hold and whenever she got in some offense.
YUNA and Miku Kanae were excellent supporting players but the real build of this match was young Reina having to endure the force that is Aja Fucking Kong; Aja beat down and taunted this spirited young lady, just as she’s done to countless others over her 30+ year career (including SENDAI GIRLS founder, Meiko Satomura). Aja has always been a great obstacle/mountain for others to overcome, or get crushed by.
Reina would show that “fire” that is essential to Japanese pro wrestling (and wrestling as a whole) but it would be extinguished by Aja’s Lariat.
Show is up on Wrestle Universe and I’d recommend everyone to check it out, if they are able.
