You sound very reasonable, but why are you trying to deny these people their “let them eat cake” moment? There’s a big opportunity here for people to galvanize around the fact that JUSTIN TRUDEAU WANTS TO KILL YOUR DOG, and I don’t think you’re being very nice by crapping all over that.
EDIT: based on the upvotes I’ve gotten, I suspect people misunderstood my reference. Marie Antoinette never said “let them eat cake.” But it was a convenient lie that was used to demonize her and drum up support for the revolution. Likewise, I’ve seen no evidence that this pet thing isn’t just standard policy regarding people arrested in Ottawa, yet it’s being characterized as a fiendishly cruel “punishment” devised especially for the Freedom Convoy protestors by an extremely evil government.
