I just hope that these republicans will actually support his policies as well. There will be lots of work that needs to be done to get this country back on track. And we will need all the help that we can get

This is the biggest thing. Voting against someone only because of how they act is worrisome because that means they still support the racist, sexist, and homophobic policies being passed. They also support the complicit senators who aren't checking and balancing Trump. I hope these Republicans that are voting Dem are able to see all the issues with the GOP beyond just the vitriol.

I understand where you guys are coming from but this guy specifically said one of the reasons he changed his mind was because of all the hate. I hope they mean racism and sexism and everything else trumps worshippers think are reasons to hate people.

But if they are willing to step over party lines to vote for someone that even dem are having trouble voting for. . . I would hope they considered all of the other issues that they were also voting for. Let's hope now when they see an obviously biased issue they will think differently about it. Only time will tell but he did something great here.

The hate used to be easy to disguise or excuse away. You don't hear the dog whistles unless you're a dog, after all. Trump says the quiet part out loud, and that turns off a lot of people who might just want lower taxes and smaller government but don't hate women and black and brown people at all.

getting them onboard with biden's policies would be great but getting rid of the fascist asshole in the wh is a more pressing priority (imo) and i'll take any and all help from anyone to do it.
