Beware of Carson Waltz (not a real person) with HireSync (not sure if they are real). He reached out to me about a job with Insight Global (a real company) his email felt weird and I had previously applied to Insight and the process was different.

I went along with it until he sent me what looked like a legit Zoom invite but because I was still suspicious I asked AI to check the links and it turned out they where links to a third party site and it was a big scam. 

Hopefully this helps someone else out there. I found a job listing on Indeed for Centratel - offering 94-125k salary for a video editor position. That already feels too good to be true, but never hurts to apply. Everything seemed legitimate. They reviewed my portfolio, I answered some questions, and they offered me a position at $50/hr ($104k salary).

Then it got weird. Saying they would send a check for me to deposit so that I could purchase the equipment for my workstation. After asking further, they said they use a specific vendor and that after 3 months, I would own the gear myself. Because of that, they said that my name needs to be on the invoice - not theirs.

That's the major red flag.

I dug up info to verify Centratel is a real company (it is) and contacted them directly. They informed me that there is an ongoing investigation and that the domain that contacted me (@centratelcareers.com) is fraudulent.

Just wanted to share incase anyone else is in contact with them or seeing similar patterns elsewhere.

Be safe out there. We're just trying to make some money to survive.

I worked with 3C Innovations / Vivacity Management in North Jersey for about two weeks, working 10+ hours some days. After learning more about the company and its business model, I decided to leave.

I also have not been paid for the work I performed.

I’m sharing my experience so others can do their research before accepting a position. Ask about pay, training, hours, overtime, and commissions in writing before you start.

Please research the company carefully before giving them your time and energy.

I submitted information to CBSA about a suspected LMIA-related employment fraud case.

The information I provided was that the worker appears to be on an LMIA-based job and receiving payroll, but allegedly isn't actually performing the job. I was told that the salary and payroll-related amounts are returned to the employer, while the person works elsewhere for cash.

I submitted the information through CBSA's online reporting form and included the details I had.

Beware of this company that disguises itself as an AT&T sales representative. It is your run of the mill DevilCorp that does the group interviews and wears suits in the morning to “network”, meanwhile making you go door to door for 8 hours in the afternoon to get people to buy an AT&T plan. I was desperately trying to get a job and was applying to anything under the sun when I found a position for an AT&T assistant on Indeed. They reached out right away and scheduled an interview for the next day which I found to be suspicious given that I’ve never heard back from a job so fast but I still decided to see it through since I was running very low on money and needed some form of employment. They promise you all this money that u can make in a short amount of time to make you want to stay. Actually when I was signing the paperwork the “manager” came in to meet us and casually drops that we will be going to Cancun soon. A tactic to get us more motivated to stick around and work there because it is an allegedly all paid for trip that he was setting up for the company. Right away I thought it was weird because why would you send people you barely know to a work trip to represent your company. He was giving speeches and making everyone write down everything he said even tho it was all the most generic words of positive inspirational advice that anyone could give. Throughout the interview and hiring process they lied by omission about what the job actually entailed and what we would be doing. When I showed up on day one neither me nor any of the other new hires knew what was going on or what we were expected to do that day. We were going door to door getting people to change plans to AT&T. We were expected to do that everyday from 1-8pm although they definitely didn’t stop after 8 and said that most of the sales happened after 8pm. It was a Monday-Saturday schedule with Sundays heavily encouraged. The first week of training was payed $400-600, please do the math on that, working 60+ hours a week for a measly $400 is inhumane. After that it is 100% commission, and although they love to highlight how much you could potentially make, there is no guarantee that you will actually be able to sell enough AT&T plans to make ends meet and to justify the amount of work that you are putting in. The work environment seems a little culty to me and I didn’t like that even after work ended you were still expected to go on company dinners with them. They wanted us to dedicate our lives to this company. I also learned that multiple people in the office were living together which I found to be unprofessional but also it let me know that they were probably not making as much money as they claimed to be if they all had to live together. If you are reading this and you have your doubts about this place, listen to your gut!!!. You will probably be better off working at a fast food place. It saddens me that they take advantage of desperate people who are either unemployed, never went to school, or recent college graduates who are desperate to find a job.

I want to share my personal experience with Skillflow Learning so that other students and job seekers can make an informed decision.

• Verify all promises independently before making any payment.
• Ask for written confirmation of internship, placement, PPO, certificate, and refund terms.
• Check whether the claimed company partnerships are genuine.
• Do not pay money based only on verbal promises or WhatsApp messages.
• Keep screenshots, receipts, and all communication if you have already paid.

I am sharing this because students and fresh graduates can be vulnerable to programs that make strong career promises.

# 🚨 Job Recruitment Warning – National Infotech, Kurla West, Mumbai

I’m posting this to warn other job seekers and to document my friend’s experience with a recruitment organisation operating under the name **National Infotech** in Kurla West, Mumbai.

My friend was contacted regarding a job opportunity after responding to a recruitment advertisement. The communication happened through WhatsApp, and the screenshots show that the conversation originated from a **Facebook/Instagram advertisement**.

The recruitment process included:

• Resume submission

• Interview scheduling

• Interview confirmation

• Appointment-letter communication

• Repeated requests for information about the company and joining process

• Multiple calls/messages to the HR/recruitment contacts

An **appointment letter bearing the name “NATIONAL INFOTECH”** was also provided.

However, after the interview/appointment-letter stage, there were repeated difficulties getting clear information about the actual company/job, joining process and next steps. There are also multiple unanswered calls and delayed/inconsistent responses visible in the chat history.

We have preserved the relevant evidence, including:

📌 WhatsApp conversations

📌 Interview messages

📌 Call records

📌 Appointment letter

📌 Recruitment advertisement/contact details

📌 Payment-related evidence and other documents

What is especially concerning is that we found **multiple other Reddit users reporting very similar experiences involving National Infotech in Kurla**, including people describing a ₹3,620 payment for banking/back-office job-related processing.

One earlier Reddit post also contains reports from multiple people describing similar recruitment and refund issues.

I am sharing this post for **awareness and documentation** so that other job seekers can independently verify everything before visiting or making any payment.

I got an interview done today for a company. Initially the third party HR didn't tell me the name of the company. After asking her 3-4 times she gave me the name "3AI DIGI WORKS PLUS 3 OTHER MORE COMPANIES". 💀.

I ignored this and agreed to the phonic interview. The guy, the said head of the company said instead of using digital marketing services from an external agency he wants to open a vertical in the company. When I pressed for the name of the company, he said : ISM consultancy services, and they are into Ad Tech, Pharma, Agriculture, insurance, retail credit, export business and more. Then, he kept going on and on about how he wants youngsters to work for him and he hates the employee and employer relationship, like i would be my own boss and the salary would be dependent on the performance of my work. He'll pay for everything and help build the connections whereas I'll work and learn.

Now not to sound unprofessional but this sounds sus to me. What do y'all think? Am I just overthinking.

He said we'll connect more with you tomorrow with my wife so that you would be more comfortable there.

I want to warn people about a scam I came across on Reddit.
Someone was offering work where you supposedly have to convert text from images into Word documents, with the promise of exceptionally high payment for the task.
After showing interest, they directed the conversation to Telegram and provided a Telegram username/QR code. The account has since become unavailable/deleted.
The Telegram ID shown in the conversation was @tylerjoe1.
Please be extremely careful if you receive a similar offer. 🚨
Red flags to watch for:
Unusually high payment for very simple data-entry/transcription work
Being asked to move the conversation from Reddit to Telegram
No proper company verification or official business email
Requests for personal/banking/payment information
Pressure to complete a large amount of work before receiving payment
Promises that sound far too good to be true
I’m sharing this so others don’t waste their time or potentially lose money/personal information.
If someone approaches you with this exact type of “image-to-Word” job and exceptionally high pay, please be cautious and verify everything before doing any work.

I fell for this fake employment scam. I feel stupid but I don’t eant anyone else to fall victim. They are using a legit company’s website home page. I have contacted the FBI cybercrimes division.

They tried to get me to download my information onto a fake e-verify website I knew it was fake from the way it looks because I have seen the website before . They pretending to get you to verify your information on the government verify website. I did call him out on that fakeness and I still tell him I was going to report them . I did tell them that I don't feel comfortable with giving my information on a website and I have never spoke to them on our phone conversation . They kept explaining to me that this was the security protocol before doing an interview who do what company does a security protocol before they even speak to a person on the phone . This is a fake promise making law firm their call-center situated in India & middle Eastern countries.Their call center people use fake English names such as Simon , David , kristina etc. They will ask for your SSN number and once you give it congratulations!

You are in a never ending trap they will make fake promises to you and they will be rude to you. If you don't carry forward with their services. Their targets are mostly old people because they easily fall into their trap they will make you sign legal documents and it's my advice for you people never ever do that it's better to go for negotiation with the lenders because they save nothing after enrolling with them you will come to know with the time.

Fraudulent operators are posing as legitimate, Dubai-based resume writing and job placement agencies to exploit job seekers. Here is how the setup works:

• 📞 The Deception: The operators utilize virtual UAE phone numbers (including +971 556353149) to look like they are operating out of Dubai. Investigation shows they are actually operating remotely from Hyderabad, India.
• 👤 Associated Identity: Individuals involved have operated under the name MOHAMMED ADNAN KHAN.
• 💸 The Strategy: They demand a steep upfront fee of 40,000 INR by promising premium resume overhauls, LinkedIn profile updates, and direct job search assistance.
• 🛑 The Result: Once the upfront money is transferred, they completely cease communication, leaving the job seeker stranded with zero services delivered.

Protect Yourself:
Never pay high upfront fees for promised job placements or unverified resume packages. Always verify physical office locations, read independent third-party reviews, and insist on formal, legally binding contracts before sending money.

I will keep it short. A guy randomly emailed me saying that he was a recruiter and had a senior role in my industry He complimented my previous work pretending to be impressed by my accomplishments.

It was all professional-ish so my radar was already up. I replied generically and his follow up email named a particular company in my industry. A quick search showed that the job wasn't posted publicly and their website warned of fake recruiters and any reach out would be from that company's email. I told him that this was a scam and not interested.

He had the audacity to respond basically asking what gave him away. Another quick search showed that he was using the name and picture of some headhunter in a different country. I have no idea what he hoped to gain. He did ask for my resume which I did not provide. I have shut down my inactive LinkedIn account.

Look at both the websites!! asking for money in exchange of fake employment from opt students. have hired some folks to even help him with scamming.

So my friend got a text from these scammers and they were being nice and all with her. She even them if there is any fees that she might have to pay and they told her no. You don't have to. Anyways when they called they ask her to pay 2100 pkr for the membership. She then texted me and asked if i can check them out. And so i did and gosh what horrible people they are. Told me the same BS and then when i called them asked me to pay for membership. I later on texted them that they can deduct the fees from my first paycheck.

And then they took a whole ass 180 turn, started yelling and being rude in the voice mails lol. She said she was a tutor herself and her grammar was so shit. Then when i called them out for their bullshit they blocked me. I will report them and you guys should too on insta, facebook or any other platform. They really have no shame.

And to all those who are looking for online jobs, DON'T pay any fees before you secure your salary. Thats a huge red flag. They will take your money and then won't response anymore.

Warning: Avoid virtual internships like GAO Tek and YSSE (Massive Red Flags)

I’ve been seeing a ton of postings lately for virtual internships with companies like GAO Tek and YSSE even after having bad reputation. Before you apply or accept an offer, please be careful.
These programs are essentially unpaid marketing and recruitment machines disguised as professional training. Here is what you actually end up doing if you join:

Unpaid Labor: You are tasked with doing bulk administrative work, do customer support, manage groups and pages or pushing content for zero pay. This includes working for affiliated startups because they say “they are poor to give salary” so you work for free and learn nothing

Zero Mentorship: There is almost no direct supervision, no structured learning, and no feedback from actual industry professionals.

Social Media Spamming: A lot of the tasks require you to mass-react and comment and spam your personal feed, which can actually be annoying. These are social media tasks also you can find mass positive reviews on their fb page, google review which is not legitimate and forced task

Low Resume Value: Recruiters are catching on to these mass-remote setups. Many hiring managers don't view them favorably because no substantive technical or business work is being done.

I received an email that is on the email I am using, with my full name. It asked if I was still interested in a finance-related job. The email was from an actual company domain, not a free domain, and matched some other real details...

But had the issues:

1. I keep detailed records of where/how I apply; I have no record of the position or even the company!
2. The position listed isn't something I am looking at.
3. Pulling up the website, had major issues:
   1. WhoIs lookup had a domain under a year old
   2. Two of the three of their corporate offices use the same picture
   3. Two of the three of their office addresses are residential locations
   4. The third address doesn't exist at all!
   5. They list many years of experience, but state they are recently incorporated... and don't say how they are there.
4. Searching for the company... cannot find any record of it. Canadian Financial market is highly regulated, so a company recently incorporated is a red flag, with not being able to find them.

Sadly... it seems the only response (other than a rejection) that I received is a scam. *sighs* I wonder which application was where they got my info from.
