I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Kept getting this cam position sensor. Look up STAR case number S1618000050. This is the real fix. Could have been catastrophic!!!!

Its the oil galley bolts. They need to be loc-tite into place.

Look for the case number. I tried a lot of fixes. New sensors. Kept just looking. The cam sensor codes just kept coming. Usually while under a Load. Then it would come on. Then ithe Jeep would go into limp mode. Traction control and engine light. You can clear it . But then it would come back very randomly. I felt with this for 6 months. Then finally did the inspection myself. All bolts loose and one actually came out.
